larrideX:No I haven’t . What genre is it ? |
larride:Then he should just be listening to News like our old men o 😁 |
afrodoc2:The problem is u are measuring it with other great Ancient Rome movies . For me I see the storyline as deliberately made different by the writers . They were able to portray hate , jealousy, scheming , strife , cunningness ,and other human characters without dwelling so much on the physical fights that characterized Ancient Rome movies . I agree the fight scenes are not all that ( which may likely due to the budget for the movie itself ) , but I am Not really a fan of the fight scenes and shed of blood in Rome movies ; so it’s not a biggie for me. |
iamoyindamola:I stand with u, Nobody should follow Ibime’s mouth here when he criticize movies/TV shows o. Those about to die is a very good watch; I’m currently on episode 8. The show may not be on that Spartacus level , but I like the fact that they were real in some aspects . For example , the way Kwame has escaped being killed in the arena , it is real. They didn’t just make him a hero that was favored by providence like was done to Spartacus ; rather he has survived thus far due to either his mum poisoning the drink of his opponent ( who definitely has the ability and training to kill him ) or an emotional emperor saving his asss just to spite his brother . Las las Ibime go later buy costume and camera begin shoot his own movie/TV series ni |
Tinubu should sack Mele Kyari already! There’s another fuel scarcity in Lagos as we speak 🤦♂️. Even NNPC filling stations don’t have fuel . I’ve only managed to see one petrocam filling station selling for now . Petrocam is selling for #780 per liter . |
liveLongNprospa:Share link abeg |
swiz123:I think NCC stopped them from increasing their prices . So they found a means of self-help for them to stay in business . I listened to a program on radio last month and the guest was the head of an umbrella body for telecoms operators( can’t recall the exact name the body is called ). The man mentioned it that every other businesses have adjusted their prices in line with current economic reality, but telecos cannot do that without NCC raising eyebrows. I believe that must be the reason they’ve been doing hanky panky with their data and airtime nowadays |
LordAdam16:The truth is a lot of people have resorted to the BBS - Beg, Borrow or Steal. That’s how a lot of people on the lower rung in Nigeria are surviving now . It’s no longer unusual for you to receive a call from these soft loan companies telling you to tell someone to pay his or loan he has refused to pay. They borrow from different soft loan companies just to feed and don’t have means to pay back. Then u also have people that will come to u and ask u to lend them money . The money they will obviously not pay back because they don’t have the means to do. Petty theft and stealing on a large scale has increased recently . Recently I saw a video on social media in which a car owner was lamenting bitterly . He parked his car in front of his compound overnight and it was vandalized . They removed every removable from the vehicle and didn’t stop there . They literally removed the tyres of the Toyota where it was parked . How they were able to pull it off I don’t even know . |
Amoto94:So because two adults decide to banter each other , the mod should lock the thread for the rest of us? Which kind logic be that ? The two people that had beef on twitter , did Elon Musk close down twitter for everybody else because of the two of them ? |
izzou:It’s just to humiliate u; to bring u down to nothing . They want u to be humble , all the talks of “ I will deal with u”, “ Do u know who I am ?” that u’ve been mouthing will evaporate from ur mouth . |
Not like I support this guy’s arrest nor interested in the subject matter of their discussion o; but I do wonder why do people take online arguments too serious ? Like why do u feel the need to call someone’s bluff and track him to an address he dropped online in the course of an argument ? Do people not have fears anymore ? What if the address the guy dropped was a ritualist/kidnappers’ den? What if u get there and they harvest ur organ ?

Theflint1:As in... shey u get. Something she did a day after her dad was sworn-in as president of the country o. The purchase of new presidential jet started as a rumour. We all thought it was a crazy rumour that doesn't make sense in view of the current economic realities in this country. Today we know better. |
larride:The person that called herself Iyaloja General Nigeria a day after her father was sworn in as President of Nigeria also knows what she's doing. |
larride:Did she call herself what she's not in the past ? Yes. Now people in the market space are saying they have information she's making a move that affects their affairs and they are protesting. Now u are dismissing it as if it doesn't matter. U are the one doing what u are accusing somebody else of. I've never said I believe their allegations or not, u are the one projecting. |
larride:Did I say I believe the allegations against her ? I just pointed u to an incident that made it to the news . In June 2023 the media space was awash with news that she appointed herself as Iyaloja General Nigeria . That was something she posted herself . The market women protesting now will have their reasons for doing that . Either it’s a rumor which her detractors brought up or she’s actually making such moves for real. U cannot say 100% u know what is true or false in this case . It’s only bias (which u are accusing me of ) that will make u dismiss the women’s allegation just like that . |
The way this guy take shiiit for church ehn….. 🥵
|
larride:Shortly after Tinubu was sworn-in, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo updated her twitter bio from "Iyaloja General of Lagos State" to "Iyaloja General of Nigeria". There was a lot of hues and cries that period and the whole thing died down. I don't think the Benin Market women will just wake one and half years after and start staging a protest about her trying to impose market leader on them. This is Nigeria, there is no smoke without fire.

Ellexy:When I talk the bolded that time, some sycophants called for my head . At least e don Dey clear now BlueRayDick: |

Fubara learn work finish for Wike hand . He has sealed the hotel of the former LGA chairman that called him foolish and dared him to kick them out of the local government council . https://www.nairaland.com/8164175/samuel-nwanosikes-hotel-sealed-rivers |
obainojazz:This Olusegun guy really shiit for church o . Everyday I keep seeing more of his old tweets that don't portray him in good light at all |
liveLongNprospa:The NNPC guy has challenged him to @ Make dem scatter everything, open all their dirty secret outside

sen. Ajibola Bashiru: "I don't agree with that statistic" Seun: "what's your own statistic?" Sen. Ajibola Bahiru: "I don't know" Such a shame ! 🤦♂️ Senator Ajibola Bashiru is APC’s national secretary . He was on Channels yesterday evening and all he was doing was disagreeing with inflation figures published by NBS. The man probably believes in the “No be statistics we go chop “ mantra 🤷♂️ |
izzou:I don't support the protest and I hope it doesn't degenerate into something out of hand. But I find it funny that educated people actually think "Go to your state to protest " is a smart thing to say at this point. I mean these are people whose tax gets remitted to LIRS, people who pay Land use charge to LASG, people who pay tenement rate to their resident LGA in Lagos, people who pay different market levies and council fees to government through their market association, transporters who pay fees and levies to NURTW in Lagos etc. These people definitely have a right to protest if they feel their taxes, rates and fees are not being utilized by the government as they deem fit. Instead of ruling class to address the major issue and show they are willing to make sacrifices themselves, they are busy trying to make everything about "Them vs Us" smh |
larride:A lot of disinformation and misinformation goes on twitter lately. Recently it was announced by Engr Tokunbo Wahab that the monthly environmental exercise will be reintroduced in Lagos state. Few days after the same person denied the news of reintroduction of monthly sanitation exercise. Sometimes it's even difficult to know what news to believe and what news not to; even when it is coming from official sources. Link 1- Tokunbo Wahab announcing reintroduction of environmental sanitation https://punchng.com/lagos-to-reintroduce-monthly-environmental-sanitation/ Link 2- Tokunbo Wahab denying reintroduction of environmental sanitation https://punchng.com/lagos-denies-return-of-monthly-sanitation-movement-restrictions/ |
larride:I doubt it’s even possible cos such move will be like government playing into the hands of the protesters. If government in conjunction with traditional rulers decide to fix oro festival on the proposed date of protest, then it means they have given workers holiday. Such holiday will only lead to workers joining the protests instead of being at their work place ; which is not in the government’s interest one bit! Oro doesn’t stop men from moving about. In fact it will only lead to confrontation between the oro cultists and the people who want to go about their daily lives. Even COVID-19 lockdown couldn’t stop some people from going out , Shey na oro go come stop them ? |
izzou:You are very right . The government is just playing to the gallery with all these talks of NANS withdraws today, Northern Coalition withdraws tomorrow . For over a year the government has gradually become unpopular even among the people that voted for them enmass in the north and south. The government has refused to show workings with their actions , rather all they do is send their SA’s to attack anybody that points out their failure like a rabid dog. I personally don’t support the proposed protest because from the agenda of the protest I’ve seen , it looks like a protest that will have neither head nor tail. The whole thing just has the usual Sowore’s brashness written all over it. Talks about scrapping 1999 constitution, scrapping the senate ,restructuring ,releasing Nnamdi Kanu, etc are not something u want to mix with a protest that is supposed to address current hardship in the country . I believe that’s why people like prof Pat Utomi, Femi Falana , etc would be excusing themselves from the protest . The government is trying to politicize a serious issue and giving it tribal coloration. Something that didn’t work during the ENDSARS sef. Below is a video of those who sacked Oba of Lagos palace and stole his staff of office . They are obviously “Omo adugbo “ and not some “imported thugs”. Anybody who knows Lagos Island very well will know these are likely the same set of people who torched the government properties in that same axis . Like u rightly said, these guys are not on Nairaland or twitter where the new national anthem is now “Protest in your state and not my state “ . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSZKbC5yFlI?si=nQa4d9SckCGUD4zR |
GloriousGbola:This part caught my attention. It appears as though Nigerian ministers take decisions that have serious financial implication for the country on their own without deferring to their principals (The president). Does the constitution grant them such powers or they are doing so of their own volition? In an interview with TheCable, former President Olusegun Obasanjo challenged Agunloye to tell Nigerians where he derived the authority to award a $6 billion contract to Sunrise from.In Summary: 1. Obasanjo did not grant Agunloye approval to award the contract to Sunrise but Agunloye did anyways. 2. Buhari did not authorize Malami to enter into any settlement agreement with sunrise because he didn't believe Sunrise had a genuine claim, but Malami still went ahead to enter into an agreement with them. Which leads to the question: Why is Malami still a free man ? |
