iamoyindamola:Give me link for those about to die |
izzou here is further evidence that Dangote is simply fighting a war for a right to monopoly ; and clearly he’s losing . As far back as April 2024 , the same agency he’s fighting now allowed him to sell the same product of inferior quality just for him to be able to recoup some of the money he invested in the venture . Even when importers were compelled to import higher quality of product which placed them at a disadvantage financially .

swiz123:Well, he’s just a Nigerian business man who is after self preservation . He wants to continue to profit from the Nigerian situation . He prolly wants to take in as much cheddar as possible before other refineries like BUA and the likes come on board . He wants a state backed monopoly so he can continue to top the chart of Africa’s richest man. I don’t blame him sha, when our own government refused to have just one working refinery for decades . So he’s using the savior complex angle to try and buy his way into a state backed monopoly for his business . Na we do ourselves or let me say na our leaders do us |
izzou:The bold is untrue . Dangote is simply fighting a trade war with the importers /depot owners and he’s using the pity method to win people like you to his side . Read the link below and see the letter written by the depot owners association begging Tinubu not to concede to granting Dangote full monopoly on the Diesel market. Dangote’s diesel is alleged to have sulphuric content above 700/ppm which is above what the agency recommends , yet he doesn’t want the marketers to source for diesel elsewhere aside his refinery . https://www.arise.tv/petroleum-depot-owners-urge-tinubu-to-sustain-deregulation-prevent-dangote-refinery-monopoly/ I have attached screenshot of premium times news of match 2021 when major marketers had been opposing Dangote’s call for monopoly . U see say no be today! Dangote simply constructed the refinery hoping he will enjoy monopoly like he did in some of his previous businesses . Abi did Dangote talk about FG’s 7.2% stake in 2021 too ? From all indications, it appears Dangote assumed whoever took over from Buhari and Emefiele would sign off on granting him the monopoly he had been mouthing since way back, but alas he has been disappointed .U really need to snap out of that thought that anybody is witch hunting him for that 7.2% / 20% stake issue

TrebleChamp:They said inferior product compared to imported ones . The agency is a regulatory agency . Dangote has been clamouring for a monopoly and they have replied to him that they can’t give him monopoly because his product is inferior to those imported . The onus is on him to come up with evidence that suggests his product is not inferior to those imported products ( if he still believes he deserves the monopoly ) See ehn, Dangote is just a businessman . He’s in it for the profit ; he’s not a Good Samaritan sent by God to Nigerians . He’s playing every card at his disposal to recoup every penny he splashed into the business ; but the FG agency has a duty to watch out for the common Nigerian man. I don’t feel any pity whatsoever for Dangote . He should face the challenges of he business and sort it out. |
TrebleChamp:What is wrong with what gen agency said ? The agency is simply saying Dangote will not be given the monopoly he’s always enjoyed in other business ventures he’s been enjoying in the past. Dangote was asking the agency to prevent others from importing products because he’s producing locally . That’s monopoly which will make him decide the price of petroleum products in the country . |
Jodera:I’m buying this one it is available in naija. (most likely next month ) |
GloriousGbola:Hmmmm…. U made some strong allegations up there o. My hand no Dey o 🤷♂️ |
GloriousGbola:Baba, Niger delta and oil matter goes beyond what a governor can solve . If it was something that can be solved by a state governor , do u think FG would’ve come up with amnesty program? The Dangote matter with host community in Lagos is a totally different ball game entirely . You need to have a conversation with a member of the host community in the Niger Delta to have a peek into their mindset |
izzou:Well u are right sha. He was made the MD of the bank by appointmentof CBN and not really the normal kinda MD employed by the board. |
GloriousGbola:You didn't start this post well, but u ended it well. What is Fubara expected to do to prevent a criminal from being a criminal? Crime happens in all the 36 states of this country. Few weeks ago, a vandal was arrested for vandalizing the lights fixed on the newly renovated 3rd mainland bridge in Lagos. Do we pin that vandal's criminal activity on Sanwoolu like u want to pin this one on Fubara? The koko is there is a law and law enforcement agents have successfully apprehended the criminals in both instances; there's no need politicizing the acts of criminals that doesn't favor anybody but the criminals. I agree with you 100% that in the Niger Delta companies usually face serious issues with their host communities. This is mostly because the indigenes always have this sort of mentality that the companies didn't bring anything to their community aside capital & equipment which they use to make billions, pay billions to FG and state as tax while leaving them the host community with little or nothing. I'm not saying this mentality is right, but that is mostly what drives them. Like u rightly said, most companies always plan for such community issues. Some companies go as far as giving the host community a tiny bit of their shares such that when the company pays its shareholders dividends, the community will get something substantial which will be shared by their leaders however they deem fit. That way everybody is happy and the community leaders always fish out criminal elements threatening the companies' operations |
This a very unreasonable move at a time when CBN is trying to raise minimum capital requirement of banks to N500billion , N200billion and N50billion for international banks, national banks and regional respectively . Talk about policy somersault This is just another move that shows our lawmakers lose critical thinking the moment they join politics . Just look at Abiru who was a former bank MD supporting nonsense with full chest. So it is the banks who should help FG fund new minimum wage and the white elephant coastal road project right ? It is not in the place of the law makers to take a pay cut to contribute to the “development “ of the country ? |
Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Sen. Sani Musa (APC, Niger-East), in defending the plan to tax the profits of banks, said the banks had made more money lately, taking advantage of the administration’s foreign exchange policies.Make una Abiru that was a bank MD until yesterday, see wetin he Dey support . 🤷♂️ So it is the bank that must use finance new minimum wage and Lagos-Calabar coastal road project from their profit ba? When banks start moving mad and start transferring this to their corporate and individual customers now, we will be blaming banks . It is forbidden for these useless lawmakers to take pay cut to contribute to naija development , instead it is the bank and its customers that must sacrifice . 🤦♂️ https://www.nairaland.com/8157178/senate-welcomes-tinubus-requests-adjust |
Page 50 hundred . I pin for here |
ouzo1:Master strategist just Dey show workings Dey go 😂
|
iamoyindamola:I’m not a big fan of David o, but on this one he really got it right. Omo ! Nigerian government no get any single shame like this . |
iamoyindamola:Later they will claim it is the opposition that are posting fake news. Na minister of Information post about the 640k visa application fee o….. chai! |
Ellexy:Nigeria is a crime scene . So the federal government literally wants to steal as much as N640k from its citizens before they can apply for Dubai visa ? 😮
|
Unlimited22:What do u think is making people blame Messi for Enzo and the rest of the team’s misdemeanors? |
Sportsweb:As in…. U get. Nigerians dey blame white wey don leave us to rule ourselves for over 60 years and we Dey do ourselves shege |
patrickmuf:The money could be anywhere . People like Asari Dokubo carry amnesty money build university in neighboring Benin republic. Anywhere wey u carry money go, they will always receive it be it Africa , Asia, the West , etc. The koko is did the west steal the money originally or our people did? Firstly let our own people stop stealing from us and let’s see if things will not turn around for good for us as a people |
Jodera:We’ve had 64 years to govern ourselves and all we’ve done is to misgovern ourselves . It’s funny that we will still be blaming the west till now. |
andrewbaba44:E reach to ask na. I used to blame the west, slave trade and all that for Africa’s under development . But I had to outgrow it. Look at the 2019 screenshot attached . Between 1960 when we gained independence and 2019, an estimated amount of $582 billion has been stolen from Nigeria ( the country ) by Nigerians (the people ).
|
patrickmuf:Is the West behind Yahaya Bello stealing 80 billion Naira as governor of Kogi state ? Is the west behind Mamman Saleh stealing 33 billion Naira meant for zungeru and mambilla power plants which are meant to generate electricity for us? 🤷♂️ |
larride:The First bank guy actually got around 40 billion. He stole more than the bank’s capital base of 25 billion . That’s why the board asked the MD to resign . How can a manager steal 40 billion and the MD was oblivious of the whole fraud for that long .As regards ur experience with Zenith bank, it is hallway common when u have two transactions with same amount that happened within minutes . The issue is that Most of those customer service agents are overworked and some of them don’t calm down. They will be insisting the two transactions were successful . Most times they will not cross check properly, they just want to dismiss you and stand to the next customer . It’s always better to go to the branch to sort thing out instead of calling them on phone . |
Jodera:My GOAT 🐐 wey no see reason to Dey do bus parade after he don complete football, dem still wan drag am into Enzo and his friends’ misbehavior 🤦♂️ Truly, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown |
liveLongNprospa:This is not about defending Messi , it is actually about not accusing Messi of what he didn’t do. U can’t be bringing alternative facts to an issue like this. Did u see Messi in the video ? No ! Has Messi cautioned players in the past from singing such songs ? Yes! So wetin come concern Messi in the matter ? |
Ibime:I fear who no fear you o! 😮 This ur talk/agenda against Messi no gel at all. In football there are so many derogatory songs that are coined together to troll opponents which fans usually sing . At least I know in the past there used to be one song “ 🎶 when Nigeria beat Brazil, when Nigeria beat Brazil o…. Ronaldo come Dey cry , when Nigeria beat Brazil 🎶 “ Songs like this are popular among fans and players know it too word for word , but out of respect for their opponents they won’t sing it on camera . I know u will say the particular song the Argentines sang was way more derogatory than the one I referenced above, but I’m just letting u know that is is possible the players know the song without having to sing it in Messi’s presence . You were wrong to put the responsibility of the players’ action on Messi who is nowhere near where the song was sang. Messi in the past has cautioned his teammates from singing a derogatory song mocking Brazil . So to me it appears u just want to find a way to drag Messi inside wetin no concern am. Messi does not have a baby monitor installed on the team’s bus that he’s checking the players’ behavior from. U can take up ur vexation against the Argentine players in the video, but dragging Messi into it no be am at all. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:The thing is when there’s dispense error like that , the money leaves ur account but doesn’t get to the destination bank account. The money hangs in a kinda suspense account . So, if u report it the bank will now make a claim to interswitch on ur behalf for the reversal of the funds back to ur account . If they don’t request for the reversal , ur money can hang there for a lifetime. The funny thing is I’ve seen a staff of a bank who orchestrated a fraud over a long period of time. He made such reversal claims but switched the customer’s account numbers for an account number he controls . He got over N20m before he was busted . A customer who was persistent kept on disturbing the bank for his refund to the extent that they investigated and their findings showed he has been refunded. He threatened to bring down hell and that prompted them to check the account number that was refunded only for them to discover it was not the customer’s account. The bank used EFCC carry the weyrey after doing audit to discover he has hammered over N20m with that format . |
Why is everybody sleeping on Wizard Chan? That guy is a fantastic musician; his music is spiritual . Even Ibime no Dey hype him Ijaw brother . |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:The bank will return ur money ; the POS guy is right. U just have to keep disturbing the bank people , dem be weyrey. . Don’t just call the bank alone, I suggest u visit a branch and fill the form for dispense error . During the old and new Naira saga I also had some cash return just got tired of doing follow up on. But since the end of that period I’ve known that all those dispense error u just need to follow up at the branch level |
seankafor:Hmmmm…. I just hope the guy behind the handle knows what he’s doing. U can’t just call a personality like Ooni of Ife a romance scammer o. |
