If this game was AFCON in the early 2000’s, France would be checking Netherlands at for hidden juju |
Anthony Taylor has done well with the officiating thus far . He has full concentration in this game . |
There’s a way Saliba Dey hold attackers ,like police Dey hold pick-pocket caught in the act . |
PDPGuy:Buhari also put the jets for sale and ended up not selling any of them . Let’s hope Tinubu’s government eventually sells them. |
andrewbaba44:He just wasted their clear chance because he’s a coward who would not shoot |
Rabiot be like those guys wey no Dey like take responsibilities 🤦♂️ |
iamoyindamola:I don’t remember watching this match because of the awkward timing of Korea-Japan , but I remembered the Portugal Vs Netherlands 2006. Almost everyone on the pitch copped either a yellow card or red card . Blatter weyrey even trolled the ref that he should’ve given himself a yellow card for the officiating of the match 😂 |
izzou:He is mad for blaming the people for the failure of the political class . The fact that he even thinks like that shows most of them are so detached from reality of the common man in this country . In the real sense of things , how many votes can politicians actually buy to win election ? Most times poor people vote for nonsense politicians not because of the money they flashed in their face but fraudulent campaign promises the politicians will later fail to fulfill. For example Buba Galadima was Buhari’s wingman for years in the CPC . When CPC later merged with ACN and others to form APC; Buhari had his shot at presidency and campaigned making lots of promises that centered around change . A lot of people bought into it and for 8 years all Buhari did was either having Femi Adesina deny he ever made such promises or claiming he has done his best without any visible evidence . How much money did Buhari spend to buy votes ? I can bet he didn’t spend 1/10 of what Jonathan had in the war chest in 2014/2015. Even for governorship and house of assembly elections it is almost the same thing . U see a governorship or HOA candidate going to backwater riverine communities where they don’t have electricity , pipe borne water , schools etc . They go promise them social amenities when voted in. After election they renege on their promise and then use incumbency power to win re-election . I believe the fraction of people who sell their vote for money cannot really win politicians elections , that’s why they resort to other gimmicks like introducing campaign promises they can’t fulfill , tribalism , religious sentiments , etc to get more voters to their side . |
daveP:I doubt this is the case. It makes no sense for him to be demanding for minutes when he has couple of senior players ahead of him in the pecking order that are still hustling for minutes. It will most likely have to do with money i.e. an improved contract Or maybe the club wants him to go on loan & he feels he should just leave to try his luck elsewhere. |
monerozi5590:Lolz. It's either u chose to deliberately read that out of context or u just think u've found an escape route. Okay let me break it down to u. It makes no sense to be using Southgate's trophyless 8 year tenure to rate him simply because on paper it looks like he got better results than his predecessors; while in actual fact there are coaches like the Croatian coach who has done well with a less talented team within the same time frame. Those are his contemporaries. Why are u scared of rating Southgate side by side with his competitors? Southgate has Declan Rice, Phil Foden, Saka, Walker, Stones, Palmer, Kane,Bellingham etc who are some of the best talents in World football as at today; Judge Southgate on what he's been able to do with them abeg. |
monerozi5590:Are u even listening to urself ? I should mention teams that are less talented but outperfroming Southgate? What happen to Southgate with superstars at his disposal outperforming his contemporaries? Southgate has not even won UEFA Nations league with the plethora of talents at his disposal, but u dey enter history book comparing him with those that managed England 50 years ago. Show workings abeg; I mean correct workings. Show what Southgate has been able to achieve while competing against his mates from other countries. Na so una do support Buhari for 8 years till he wreck this country ![]() |
monerozi5590:That is not how to make a reasonable argument for how good a manager has been . You don’t go back to 50 years and start measuring the performance of current manager with that of his predecessors . Instead , u check the performance of his competitors with similar crop of players and see how he’s fared . For example, the Croatia manager has been a more successful manager than Southgate ; and there’s no way u can convince me Southgate didn’t have more talented players at his beck and call within the same time frame. The English FA would be fooolish to allow Southgate keep his job because he performed better than other mediocre English coaches in the past 50 years while other teams with less talented players are outperforming Southgate’s |
oliverano:I’m definitely not recommending Lampard for England job; he’s another terrible football manager . The fact that I’m even mentioning Lampard in the Southgate conversation is because of how poor Southgate has performed with the talent at his disposal |
Ibime:The guy dey bath soap like Yahoo boys; nothing wey anybody fit tell me |
Ibime: ![]() This guy has taken England to 4 major tournaments and they have nothing to show for it. How is he better than Rhor sef ? |
liveLongNprospa:Eboyin wey no battle insecurity sef , for 3 years now no aircraft has landed there; the airport is just a monumental waste of tax payers money. Zamfara is following the same model . smh......later they will be crying to FG to help them on security after the governor waste money on white elephant project |
Omoluabi16:Definitely these present crops of English players are not overrated, they just happen to be coached by a terrible manager who is stealing for a living. Who are even Southgate's assistants sef ? You know some assistants can actually have better ideas compared to their ogas |
liveLongNprospa: ![]() A state battling insecurity is constructing airport. Lmao. Who swear for these leaders sef? |
Omoluabi16:They ought to have sacked him long before now. The good thing about national team football is u don't need to spend millions of pounds to sign a player that is right-fit for ur team. All u need do is invite such quality player and coach him to play the way u want. Southgate has failed at this and doesn't deserve to continue receiving salary. However, I don't know if sacking him in the middle of the tournament will not even leave them worse off; Euros is not AFCON o |
iamoyindamola:Aswear! The guy just keeps getting paid doing nothing. More like he just fields 11 players he prefers and tells them to "do their thing". ![]() The team doesn't look like a team that has any coach's tactical instructions they are following. One could see how the Danes were recycling possession yesterday, like they had a template the coach asked them to follow. Even the Spanish did same yesternight. E come be like say Lampard even get playing pattern pass Southgate sef |
larride:The fact that Senate seat is usually keenly contested doesn't necessarily mean the best brains get elected. My point still stands that if u have money, some political clout and belong to the political party in town, u can find ur way into the senate. Didn't the late Buruji Kashamu find his way into the senate despite extradition noose hanging around his neck all through while he was alive? Is it not because he had money, was a philanthropist and a member PDP that he ended up in senate? In fact, another reason one can find himself in the senate like HOR is if u have the sympathy of the people. U remeber the LP guy that won Chimaroke Nnamani's seat in the senate? The guy's brother (who was the original flagbearer) was assassinated and then the guy picked up his late brother's ticket and today he's a senator. Nobody even knows the guy's educational qualifications, what he's been up to before his brother's assassination, etc. |
afrodoc2:The guy is just amusing. ![]() Like Southgate has a plethora of young English talents that far surpasses other European teams in the competition but Alhaji Monerozi is busy doing blast from the past comparing Southgate with other English managers. I don't like people making excuses for failures. To whom much is given, much is expected. How can anybody watch yesterday's match and still be making excuse for Southgate. I saw one English guy's video online this morning venting for Southgate. The guy was angry because after the abysmal showing yesterday Southgate had the temerity to claim "they missed Kalvin Phillips". How can u be missing a player that has been shiit for 2 years straight? So if Phillips was around, was he going to use two DM's ? Southgate has so many talents but doesn't know how to field them and somebody is talking about other English managers in the last 50 years. smh |
Theflint1:If u mena slipping through the process to senate, well there's actually no reasonable electoral ladder progression to the senate or HOR in this country. Any random person can make it to the senate or HOR in this country. Like u rightly said, just being a philanthropist who is a member of a popular political party in ur constituency, u can find urself in the HOR or Senate. U may be a former banker, a musician, a comedian, a pastor or even a convicted 419/fraudster in Obodo Oyinbo. ![]() It is the process of becoming the party's governorship candidate I fault for this one jare |
monerozi5590:Na this same Pattern u use support Buhari for 8 years. U this guy! ![]() |
daveP:If they can play as compact as Denmark does with Odegaard dictating as their creative outlet, I believe Norway could stand a chance |
Theflint1:I don't think this guy slipped through any electoral process. The people who fielded and supported him know about his poor academic background, but they know the electorates value tribal sentiments and political clout over quality of leadership & competency. The way they've been making the election being about Esan's turn just says it all.I don't know much about Edo state politics, but I want to believe He's probably one of the few Esan people with political clout & reach. And that's all. All those talks about him being an air brain no concern them. |
iamoyindamola:Gracias. |
Amigoss:Dem go whine una, but no panic . If Buhari can "did" it, then Oga Monday too can "did" it.The erudite lawyers and scholars don talk say our law requires u to attempt and have evidence of O'Level result ; u don't necessarily need to have 5 credit. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:E be like say u don forget so soon. Did Buhari's WASSCE result deter his supporters from voting him twice? Even when he was nicknamed "dullard", his supporters defended his misgovernance till the last few months of his tenure |
Segedinho:Nigeria has a long way to go. We literally vote for people who are so detached from reality to go represent us in the Senate and HOA. When they get there , they only care about their stomach. Some of them(like the one in the video) are not even intelligent enough to defend their wasteful spending in the face of serious economic downturn. He can't even make any reasonable defence for the N140m vehicle. smh As for those that always defend them online, I believe alarm never reach their side ni. |
Amigoss:APC is literally fielding Buhari 2.0 in Edo state ![]() |
Segedinho:The man said before he became senator he owned vehicles more expensive than the N140m SUV they bought for them as senators. I googled his name Sunday Karimi and can't really find anything on him. Where did he work prior to senate? What kind of business does he do? How many companies does he own? There was absolutely nothing available to prove his outlandish claim. I think he messed up by going personal and asking about the type of vehicle Seun drives. Seun cooked him and made him embarrass himself by blabbing all through the rest of the interview ![]() |
