Just rewind back to what happened to Arabs and middle easterners after 911. Them go search and question you tire.

Look at the Dubai Visa Ban, Dubai didnt just wake up and ban the country, it's an accumulation of different issues and top it up with that viral cultist video. They just say enough is enough and ban the entire country. Just look at how many millions of people that has affected. The same thing is happening with India also at the moment.

What about Sychelles that was visa free for Nigerians before but our people carry our own reach there.

Some people will say it's just some few people but if people from the same country keep repeating the same offense, these people will notice a pattern and act accordingly.

No amount of international relations will help the passport if our people can denting the image of the country everywhere they go.

I watched the video of a man who was detained at the point of entry in the US by boarder patrol officers .

At a point I felt like crying for the bros. Alaye was working in one of the regulatory agencies in the oil and gas sector in naija . The way they perused him, delayed him and harassed him simply cos he flew in with a naija passport was disheartening .

They ransacked his belongings and thought he probably bribed his way past our immigration and has cocaine on him to transport to the US. His ID card as a staff of a FG owned agency didn’t save him.

If immigration is doing their job, I don’t think we Nigerians should be castigating them

I think we need to stop this idea of looking for countries that have nationals committing more crime than Nigeria . Crime is not something we should be using for dick-measuring contest Haba!

Nigerians were able to afford kellogs in 2015 when the acquisition was stated to take place.
So I see no reason for this "catering to the Nigerian market" as if prior to that we had a weak purchasing power. It was done for expansion and that expansion led to the death of kellogs products as its quality dipped over time.

If u want to buy imported Kelloggs product today , u can buy it in Nigeria. U will see it at high end supermarkets in highbrow areas of Lagos and Abuja .

The Nigerian Kellogg’s is available same as the international one .

It’s just the same way u can buy imported indomie noodles and also buy the one made by Tolaram for Nigerian market .

Another time in Hamburg, they caught two Nigerians with performing benefits fraud. They were listed as unemployed in Germany collecting monthly unemployment benefits meanwhile they were actually in Naija working for Shell (Omo see cash out )

Our people don’t deserve benefit of the doubt. Na why when dey treat me with scrutiny at airports, e dey pain but I understand.

Well, this is news to me.
We had a group discussion last year and it was there even myself found out Chi has been bought over by Coca Cola. We all agreed on how the product remained same even after change of ownership.

Social media handlers for most of these government agencies are more often than not over zealous, unprofessional and lacking in the basic etiquette of their roles. They handler for that page could have simply advised we maintain good behavior and obey the rules of host countries instead of going about listing crimes...that bit just made the message crass.

I think we owe ourselves the truth on these matters. As recent as last week people were still caught with drugs trying to smuggle enroute Saudi for Hajj.

Just this last week a video of some girls trafficked to Ghana for prostitution circulated all over the internet . The world is not blind to these things .

We should tell our own people the honest truth in our own space so they don’t go out there and spoil show for me an u.

Which one tastes the same? Hollandia for sure has a different taste, as with the other ones I mentioned. Their Chivita 100% no sugar has maintained taste, so maybe that's the one you based your assessment on, but these other ones I mentioned have changed taste.

Kelloggs was a foreign manufacturer of cereals that never had presence in Nigeria until they had a joint venture with Tolaram to produce Kellogg’s products for West African market.

Do u know what the bolded means ? It means they specifically came up with products for our market. It’s not like they bought an already established Kellogg’s producing business , then stepped down the quality of the products like u are making it seem.

That’s why ur Kellogg’s example holds no water in this case.

You ain't been paying attention my man. You telling me Hollandia tastes same way it used to taste? Abi na the taste of their pineapple and coconut nectar? In fact this month, my wife has been complaining bitterly about the taste change in taste of Hollandia evap...I checked to confirm, it was horrible...I want to believe it was just a bad batch or they meant it and would give themselves brain once people stop buying the Hollandia evap.

Just know that with this acquisition, all bets are off, it may change or not, or may change sometime in the next couple years when renewed hope reaches its peak.

U are missing the point. The UK passport is one the most sought after in the world. They don’t have any battered image they need to redeem so what’s the point of advising their citizens over such petty misdemeanors like hooliganism which the host country can always arrest them for and slam them for ?

Nigeria passport has been battered by drug trafficking issues , child and women trafficking and other major crimes like cultism.

Nigeria immigration advising its citizens to not further deny the already battered image of the country is definitely not out of place . If we refuse to tell ourselves the truth , then who will ?

When products are made under franchise , they don’t necessarily have the same taste/flavour with the same product in other countries in the international market .

The crux of the matter yesterday was that the Guinness being produced in Nigeria as at today will definitely not change taste/quality because nothing has changed except for the ownership of the shareholdings in the company.

It’s not like Tolaram will come up with their own Guinness formula going forward . They will still be using every ingredients being used by Guinness Nigeria in the right quantity so far they will still be producing under the Guinness franchise name.

If some citizens are doing anything illegal, you don't highlight it even in form of an advice or suggestion.

We are not remotely the worst in crime in these places, wetin dey do us na just lack of purchasing power and our dead foreign policy.

The Nigeria immigration service is not a government agency established to launder the image of the country . It is a government agency established to oversee and country entry into and exit from the country ( for both Nigerians and foreign Nationals ). It is a body responsible for controlling drug trafficking into and from the country . It is an agency responsible for control of human trafficking out of the control.

The agency is simply doing its job by advising criminals who engage in such vices to desist so they won’t claim ignorance when they are nabbed at entry or exit point. How is that a bad thing ?

When u say they are not meant to advise us;are u saying they are to allow us do the crime and then allow us do the time ? If yes, I hope u know those stats get recorded against our country in the long run? 🤷‍♂️

Apparently because of our behaviour in dubai most young Nigerian women are automatically profiled as prostitutes and treated accordingly.

Profiling is based on both prejudice and historical data.

The crazy thing is some of these vices are also perpetuated by other nationals , but Nigerians are always too loud for their own good and as such, we always catch the attention of the authorities .

Nigeria Immigration service is under the ministry of interior . Their job is to ensure u leave Nigeria without the intention of going to dent our image abroad and also to ensure people coming into Nigeria are not coming here to cause trouble .

That screenshot u posted actually showed them doing their job. They are advising Nigerians who intend going abroad to not go with the intention of peddling drugs, trafficking women and children , exporting cultism and other vices. They are giving that advice to protect the image of the passport they are in charge of issuing .

I don’t see anything wrong in that. That’s an advise to Nigerians na .

You are making it seem as if a foreign envoy calls Nigerians criminals and the immigration service is giving affirmation to such statements.

There’s nothing wrong with the statement if u ask me. The immigration service job is not to prop up the image of the country; rather it is to control entry into and departure from the country.

Their job among others is to prevent child and drug trafficking and that’s why they mentioned it in their post .

You are probably confusing Nigeria Immigration Service for some other govt agencies

What happened was that Coca Cola bought Limca and they’ve been the one producing Limca worldwide . It’s more like they saw the product as a competitor , they bought it over and stepped down its marketing/branding to keep the popularity of Coca Cola up. Those are the kind of strategies Coca Cola has used to stay relevant in the market .

If u go to stores u will see PET bottle of Limca . U just don’t see advert of Limca on TV like it used to be in the late 90’s/early 2000’s when they used to sponsor Sunday Rendezvous on NTA
