GloriousGbola:There are enough Nigerian owned IT companies that deploy the same IT solutions this air wave is proposing . |
izzou:Make we just dey whine ourselves dey go |
izzou:Only a naive mind will think a foreign owned company cannot run Nigerian govt streets like Nigerian owned company does. Right before our eyes P & ID run Nigeria streets with the aid of their Nigerian promoters. I'm always amused when I see Nigerians blindly defending misteps of government. The only emotion I have at that point is amusement. |
iamoyindamola: ![]() It actually doesn't make sense crossing an express road when there's pedestrian bridge closeby. If motor jam am, na wahala he go give government. Government go dey pay for cost of hospitalization and embalmment if he died eventually. We had a retired relative who was hit while trying to cross the express at Ikeja along while he was going for all these pensioners' verification exercise. The wife just called my dad that that the man left home for pensioners' "I am alive" verification exercise and they've not heard from him for 24 hours. My dad set out to look for him going from one police station to another to report missing person. One thing led to another and after almost a whole day of search he heard a dead body was found around the VIP international wing of the airport. The theory we later came up with was that the person who hit at Ikeja along was most likely a VIP. He was definitely compelled by people at Ikeja along to take to the hospital and he played along and took the body in his vehicle. Being a VIP who had access to international airport VIP section, he dumped the body there and went on his way. We came up with this theory because there was actually a report of a vehicle hitting a person that match baba's description at Ikeja along same day and the driver took the victim in his vehicle with the intention to take him to the hospital. Eventually, the family had to pay serious fine to get baba's body released by government at the mortuary where his body was deposited eventually. Since that day, I no dey even reason to cross expressway except there's no pedestrian bridge in sight at all. |
izzou:Tinubu just keeps slamming his defenders and supporters in the mud 😂 |
iamoyindamola:People eyes don clear na. The last time he was in Lagos for the festivities was when the people shouted Ebi'n pawa to his hearing . As he no gree do anything about the hunger (things have even gotten worse since that time ) ; people have decided to move on. Na only online him supporters dey do strong head; offline people have resorted to serious taxing and begging to cope with the hardship |
Flashback Friday This ediot social media handler never declare civil war o now that PMS sells for almost x10 of the N65 price of that year o

liveLongNprospa:I don't know who keeps advising Tinubu , but one thing is obvious ; Tinubu and his supposed technocrats are overrated and keep taking one misstep after another . I just did a google search on the alleged Air wave limited being appointed as concessionaire for the expatriate levy and what I found out is quite embarrassing . So the air wave limited is an Indian company which will provide ICT solution for collection of expatriate levy in Nigeria . I'm not even concerned about the cost of the contract but I don't know if Tinubu and his advisers care about optics at all. If u claim the aims and objectives of the expatriate levy is to make sure more Nigerians get jobs that are being given out to foreigners who are expatriates , then why exactly are u giving the contract for the expatriate levy to an Indian owned company ? Shey na ment abi na wetin ? Are they telling us there are no Nigerian companies that can provide the IT solutions for the expatriate levy project ? This just confirms my suspicion that revenue generation is the motive behind the whole expatriate levy matter and not really care for Nigerian employees

Ibime:Yeah, I just found out on this thread. I wasn't aware until yesterday . |
One day they will tell us the truth about this much celebrated Dangote refinery sha https://www.instagram.com/reel/C37gR-EtFJ0/?igsh=MWJnZGp5eXk1c3MyeA== The man in the video is alleging Dangote got $3billion from CBN at a very discounted rate ; then we had FX crisis and now the same Dangote has been drafted into an economic committee that seeks to revive our economy . |
iamoyindamola:Dem no dey telli person. |
patrickmuf:If those guys catch that president of court of appeal Monica Dongban-Mensem , dem fit burst like 2 crates of coca-cola bottles on her head ![]() |
iamoyindamola:E go reach everybody na. By the time food items like Pepper , tomatoes, yam, onions , etc are scarce in the market, the price will go up |
WhoDeyHause:The price of local commodities will not go back to what it used to be even if dollars crashes further because inflation and after-effect of subsidy removal still dey there. |
iamoyindamola:Omo! The food insecurity will get worse if those people in IDP and "repentant " boko haram go back into the bush o. Farmers will not be able to go to farm |
izzou:Okay, I agree with this classification. |
afrodoc2:Aswear! Na Lalude dey change person destiny pass. Alapinni on the other hand get the craziest money ritual recipe ![]() |
izzou:Yes, there's Kunle Afolayan & co and then there's still Muyiwa Ademola, Ogogo & co set inside same Nollywood o. No forget |
izzou:Na him twin brothers ![]() He first use their glory, now dem don collect their glory back (Inspired by Nollywood ) |
iamoyindamola:Thanks . Make I try am |
iamoyindamola: ![]() I won't be surprised if the guy buys senate or house of reps ticket in 2027 to join politics . The guy don really hustle for the bag this few years . |
iamoyindamola:Ajaero ur guy ![]() |
izzou:I don't see anybody complaining the dollar has crashed to N1,400 for now. If anything, what I see people saying is that Tinubu should return dollars to what he met it and they will give him kudos. As far as I know, asking people to praise Tinubu now is tantamount to asking people to thank Jumia and Konga for the scam black Friday sales dey always run. They will hike a product that normally sells for N2k to N5k few weeks to black Friday and when black Friday comes, they will reduce it to N4k and claim: It was selling for N5k, thanks to black Friday it sells for N4k. Hurry buy now while black Friday sales is still on. |
GloriousGbola: monerozi5590:So u are saying a US citizen that works in Naija for example will have his PAYE deducted in naija and still pay another tax to the US authorities ? I never knew this happens o |
afrodoc2:Na the Koko be this |
monerozi5590:😂 How can he tax people living and working outside his own jurisdiction ? Even the almighty USA will not tax its citizens living and working in other countries |
Spy360:It's unfortunate he's defending the indefensible . About a couple of years ago Obama's wife confirmed they pay for every food they eat in the White House and that it's not tax payers money they use to feed . That's the almighty and rich America o. But a "broke" Nigeria should be responsible for paying for traveling expenses of 30 something year old adults who happen to be children of the president . And it's to a summit/state visit that doesn't concern them o. Smh. 🤦♂️ Na Nigerians be the weapon fashioned against the country |
Theflint1:Una sure say these things no go pursue potential foreign investors like this ? If the economy is highly unstable and the government keeps making head scratching decisions in response to the economic issues ; how will foreign investors have confidence that their investment will be safe when push comes to shove ? Reading about Nestle posting loss in 2023 shocked me . A multinational went from making N71billion profit after tax in 2022 to making N104 billion loss in 2023 and total shareholder's fund wiped out due to foreign exchange loss 🥵 My question is what exactly does Tinubu and his entourage intend to go and tell them in Qatar and other countries they will be visiting later to discuss about investing in Nigeria ? What assurances does he intend to give them that will convince them to invest here and watch their investment grow? 🤷🏼♂️ |
afrodoc2:If it's per head , then the government will make money . Look at Dangote group alone for example; there are enough expatriates who work with Dangote refinery & Petrochemicals , Dangote Fertilizers & chemicals , Dangote cement, Dangate Sinotruk West Africa etc . Dangote cement alone has 3 members on the board of directors that are foreigners. Even in the finance sector there are venture capitalists and investment companies who employ CFA charter holders and qualified experienced actuaries as expatriates because we don't have enough Nigerians with those qualifications to do the job. |
afrodoc2:There are many companies that have expatriates on their books o. What I don't know is whether the $10k is per expatriate employed or the $10k is a flat fee that covers all expatriates on one company's books . |
MTN + Third mainland closure showed me shege yesterday 😢 |
seankafor:It is just another means for Tinubu's government raising money from the private sector. Companies like MTN, Diageo( Guinness Nigeria ) , foreign owned oil and gas companies , etc who may have foreigners as either directors or senior staff will now be expected to pay $15k and $10k respectively to Nigerian government for having foreigners on their books . It's companies in the oil and gas sector that will be worse hit with this. I wonder how they will react to this news cos they are the ones that their line of business requires expatriates the most . Even though the government says the aim of the levy is to ensure more Nigerians get employed for roles foreigners are occupying in some of these firms , I still believe the quest to generate government revenue is the major drive behind this move. It would've been better if government can exempt firms who can't find local talent to fill core technical roles before employing expatriates . But what do I know ? 🤷🏼♂️ |
