"Last week, the Nigerian Customs was selling seized rice and seven people died in Lagos. How did we get to that level? The APC government then, led by former President Muhammadu Buhari told us there is abundance of rice production in Abuja,” Ologunagba said.https://www.nairaland.com/8013716/pdp-apc-where-buharis-rice These are the issues! As dem dey jail Emefiele, Buhari supposed get cell next to him

DissTroy:The bold is what I'm saying! RCCG for example was more of an advanced CAC, Assembiles of God or The Apostolic Church when Adeboye took over as G.O. I believe wearing trousers and dressing flamboyant as a lady was seen as being immoral those days till the early 2000's in RCCG. Today if u walk into a Mega RCCG parish u will see guys on piercing of both ears, girls with jaw dropping dresses, fully fitted trousers and body revealing gowns. The ushers will even tell u at the entrance " U look beautiful in God's image" as a way of welcoming u. Things have really changed and the more conservative approach to religion has gone liberal. Christ embassy na new generation church that came with the vibes. Winners on the other hand was an Oyedepo coming from a Muslim background who needed to accommodate the new generation that felt left behind by their parents' conservative brand of Christianity for his young ministry to grow. Like u stated in ur third paragraph, some of those religious indoctrination has a telling on what we judge to be morally right or wrong growing up and even in this present day. For example, I don't have anywhere in my heart that sees homosexuality as normal human behavior. |
afrodoc2:So many man-made rules everywhere . Remember how Deeper life members were denied access to watching TV in the 90's and 2000's ? Today Deeper life stream live crusade of Kumuyi all over the world |
DissTroy:Come to think of it that there was a time Christian ladies were forbidden to wear trousers not only in church but even in public . Now the children of those people who did the forbidding are the ones who run churches where women wear trousers in church , guys pierce their ears and weave their hairs and some men even go to same church with pierced nose ![]() Times have changed truly |
afrodoc2:I agree with u. He fell off and didn't link up when it mattered most . |
Looking back at all these Remedies matter sef ; one must agree that there used to be respect in Nigeria o. I mean today Tetuila is 51 years old , I think Eedris will be 51 as well and I'm not sure of Eddy's age. Yet the great baba Keke that signed them back then is 57 years old The kind respect and loyalty these guys showed one would've thought Keke senior them with ata least 10 to 15 years . |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:That one na normal banter . We all know the truth na |
raumdeuter:It's an indisputable fact that Tony had more hits than Eddy as a solo artiste thanks to Eedris who advised him to begin to write songs for himself and also get closer to the more talented Plantashun boiz that had Blackface , Tuface and Faze whom were all talented musicians & song writers in their own right . However , looking at the body of work pushed out by Remedies as a group , the impact of Eddy on those songs and his voice & flows; it's easy to conclude that if Eddy had not entangled himslef with Kenny St. Brown he could've enjoyed more commercial success like Tuface did. I think that his marriage crash broke him. That time no be now wey be say scandal dey make ur next music sell . A big record label like Kennis can have u 4cked up. How many radio stations do we have that pay their genre of music that time ? It won't even cost Kennis much money to have him blacklisted sef. ( I'm not saying they did cos I don't have that information o) E just be like say everything that happened blocked out anything good music from his head . But come to think of it; man sef ! Of all the fine fine ladies wey dey that time, why be say na Kenny St. Brown he decided to date and marry sef ? It's not like Kenny St. Brown was the Most beautiful girl in Lagos sef not to talk of Nigeria 🤦♂️. If the gods want to punish somebody , dem go just allow u use ur hand carry wetin pass u |
GloriousGbola:😂 Dem say Tinubu na the third president wey go implement this same report . The funny thing is Tinubu created more ministry and appointed gazillion ministers . I wonder what his gazillion number of ministers will be ministering if he indeed implements the report this time.

patrickmuf:Tony called out some of Eedris lies . Almost everybody concerned thinks Eedris is a dishonest and dubious person . Some of the things he did was not smartness If u noticed Eedris was carefully skipping the parts about those monies . For example despite Eddy calling out Eedris for not helping him when he was down, he still mentioned that he gave him N5k about twice . Eedris what he was doing on that podcast . He set out to portray himself as self made , the binding super glue holding the group together and all... He sold himself as the one who even put the idea of record label into Keke's mind following the birth of Remedies , etc. What he failed to consider was the possibility of Tony and Eddy coming out to say their own side of the story . In a way I felt pity for Eedris in the podcast for what he's been thru after leaving limelight especially when he mentioned how his wife came thru for him during the kidney transplant surgery; but Eedris na still snake amongst his brothers |
Segedinho:We are still working out the modalities of the lifting of the ban. We are working closer with our UAE counterparts for almost a year now ![]() |
Emaprince:Maybe Tetuila was not untalented , but he was the less talented amongst the 3 of them while their union lasted . Eddy was really good and Eedris had the commercial rap thingy going well for him that time . I think Eddy just lost his head in the whole blowout from their breakup and his eventual failed marriage . The way Eedris kept on slurping on Keke's Diiick in that podcast video ehn..... He just gave me a vibe of somonew who always manipulate others to have his way |
odizeey:Aswear ! Eedris really senior them for streets level 💯 Eddy mentioned how his parents who resides abroad sent him $5000 which he was using to run their initial music hustle ; he dey combine school and music . Eedris don tear eyes all those period ; he don enter desert come back even thought of joining ECOMOG soldier at a point ![]() Eedris just chop Eddy money , chop Tetuila mama money and still ended up causing rift between both when they started making loney together as a group. The snake wey tempt eve dey learn work where Eedris dey. |
odizeey:Eedris na bastardd 😂 That guy just use everybody head still dey lie on top . He just use street for everybody . Eedris is arguably the first yahoo boy in Nigeria. Talk about how he who was still an artiste trying to blow collected 60k from Tetuila's mum to help blow her son. Yet he dey make Eddy see am as if Tony na just one random handicapped guy he's trying to help in his musical career . |
izzou:U need to watch the podcast. As much as it was hard to make money from music, these guys made money! When Remedies made their first millions from tour; Eedris narrated how Keke helped them collect the cash, get hotel room with safe at Sheraton and all.... They didn't make much money from selling CD's and cassette but they made money from Shows like Benson & Hedges, Star Mega jam etc. |
odizeey:Omo! That day I listened to their songs over and over again; Eddy's talent just ended up getting wasted. It's such a pity. He was as good as Tuface; the guy could sing. It was a big business mistake he made getting emotionally entangled with Keke's Younger sister. If he had not mixed pleasure with busines , I believe he would've achieve more than he did. |
iamoyindamola:Eedris just use everybody head. If u go back and listen to their songs, u will pity Eddy and how his career later turned out. Eddy was really really talented with a very good voice. Eddy could've gotten the level of success Tuface had if he wasn't enmeshed in the fallout of the group's breakup and his marriage crash. |
GloriousGbola:Eedris was playing both sides. He was supposed to leave Kennis music with Eddy, then he folded at the last minute. While he had agreed with Eddy for them to both leave Kennis, at the meeting he simply told Keke he doesn't want to leave and gave Keke a CD full of his songs he has recorded without Eddy's knowledge to be his own solo album. As regards the dining part, It most likely a business meeting between Kenny St Brown as Kennis music executive and Eedris as an artiste under the label. But u know it really looks somehow especially with Eddy not being aware of such meeting between his housewife and his partner. That guy was messed up in the head from all those shiiiit |
Eeedris session on the podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrrhPN6QRyc Eddy's interview with Freeze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPbqnFBpSyM Tony Tetuila's Interview with Freeze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwIOoyWd1X4 |
Did anybody here really follow the Eedris, Eddy and Tony Tetuila matter as per their recent podcast cameo? Over the weekend I watched the full version of Eedris podcast session with dem Nedu & the gang , I watched Eddy's interview with Freeze(In reaction to Eedris podcast session) and Freeze's interview with Tony Tetuila. All I can say is Omo! Eedris gave a version of the formation of The Remedies that goes thus; Eedris had been doing music in the north before coming to Lagos. He was squating in Lagos and was hustling to make music and along the line he met Eddy. They made music together, one thing led to another they met Keke Ogungbe who was already on raypower, he gave them airtime and the song blew. They made money and Keke asked them for the name they will call themselves and he mentioned how he was called Remedy in the north. So Keke asked if he can call them The Remedies and they agreed. Somehow they met Tony Tetuila whose mum was rich and the mum gave them 60k which they used for music promotion and all. After listening to Eddy's intevrview giving his side of the story and debunking allegations Eedris made about Eddy being the greedy one who wanted Tony out cos he (Eddy ) felt Eedris and Eddy are the one's doing the work while Tony was not really talented; I believe Eedris was the snake in the group. From Eddy's account of the events, it appears Eedris met with Tony's mum and collected money from her with the intention to carry her son along. Eedris did this without ever informing Eddy about it. He just smuggled Tony into the group knowing he had limited talent. Eedris was playing middle man in the game. Eedris was the one that advised Tony to start writing his songs by himself cos he felt Eddy would soon push Tony out . Eedris advised Tony to move close to Plantashun boiz and that was what made Tony feature them in his first single "Omode Meta " in which he dissed Eedris and Eddy. Immediately, Same Eedris advised Eddy for them to respond and this led to them releasing "Jealousy" in response. Eddy claimed he never even knew or met Tony until the day they (himself and Eedris) were to reocord their first single and Eedris came to the venue with one boy limping behind him( i.e Tony) . Eddy happens to be the one that was 4cked the most in the group at the end of the day. Omo I felt for him watching the video. Niggga completely broke down and was sobbing in the video. He was 4cked by even his own wife who was the vice president of Kennis music as at that time. I think he made a costly mistake marrying Kenny St. Brown. While he was trying to leave Kennis music; his wife was an executive on Kennis Music. The same wife was having dinner with Eedris his partner. The story long. By the time his marriage was over, Eddy was well over 4cked. Tony is what we call "omo oni mama" on the streets. His parents were comfortable; at the time the group was on; his Mercedes benz was he first car they used to commute as a group. At a time there was no mobile phone, he had a cellular phone. These things made him prey to Eedris who really everyone around him. Tony listened to Eedris' advise of writing his own songs himself and was able to make commercial success after the group split. There's a lot to unpack in those 3 interviews , but one thing that stick out for me is that Eedris is not who he's actually portraying himself to be to the younger generation. The whole videos and narration will give u nostalgia sha if remember the Nigerian music industry in the late 90's/early 2000's |
iamoyindamola:I don't the girl needs orientation, it's the father that should know what is appropriate and what is not appropriate in the place of public opinion. In my opinion, Na the man no act well sha. |
Emaprince:That's his daughther. She acted in his movie Anikulapo. I saw the video Yesterday; I think that bros was drunk in that video. |
WhoDeyHause:I don't have anything against the dead o. I already mentioned it that it's unfortunate the dead had to go that way. Nobody deserves to die trying to hustle for rice which is like the cheapest staple food in the world. Funny enough, the customs statement on the incident I read this morning was practically blaming the dead and injured. The customs absolves itself of any blame but rather blamed the impatience of the crowd. |
Emaprince:Those things were regarded as structure. Na why I talk say we saw these things with our korokoro eyes, we read people justifying these incidents that should be condemned because it favors their political leanings and here we are today. |
ouzo1:It is well. |
afrodoc2:I used the word "probably " in my post for a reason. It may appear insensitive but the stuff some of these people (particularly the card-carrying members of the party) did during and after the elections makes it difficult for one to pity them in the face of the current happenings in the land. Those that didn't join in disenfranchising their fellow citizens based on political differences were busy laughing and boasting about the unfortunate incidents during the elections in which people were called unprintable names, people beaten for their political choice and even people denied access into polling units for having fair complexion. |
obainojazz:What is not necessary ? That it's untrue people wrote that on their statuses or what? Maybe u don't know they didn't stop at " This administration will favour me and my family". They labelled everyone else bitter, unpatriotic and some even wished evil on those who don't believe in the Tinubu presidency. We saw these things; we read these things with our eyes and chose not to comment cos we saw where all this was headed |
Segedinho:The lady is probably one of those who posted on their FB and Whatsapp " This administration will favor me and my family " It's unfortunate she became a victim of the policies of her party in government. HungerBad! |
