iamoyindamola:What usually amaze me is how they say all of these things and get away with it in this Nigeria |
Theflint1:I think it's the way the northerners practise their own brand of Islam honestly . I grew up around Muslims down here in the South and in all my years I don't see southern Muslims talking about murdering of anybody perceived to have insulted the prophet . Nobody sees u as a lesser Muslim for marrying a Christian down south . The brand of Islam practiced in the north is less tolerant of other religions and very toxic . Even my barber when I was in the north who happens to be a southern muslim confirmed to me that the northern Muslims will not queue to pray behind u if u are a southern muslim leading the prayers . |
Theflint1:Person wey dem ask about his plans and he said he does not want to reveal it so others won't copy it. Now he don reach there we dey see him plans dey fail right before our eyes and this Kalu guy still dey ask JAMB question . If e didn't dey; e didn't dey . |
Monerozi and others who speak Hausa Abeg is this translation correct ? https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3ovmJzIFAr/?igsh=bmoxbG0ya2Fl „Now, Tinubu, his wife is an #!nfldel. Even as an #Infidel, she is an ‚oga' (a leader) among the #infidel$. Even her, God's judgement says she must be k##lled.. She's a pastor... Leaders of #infidel$ (Christianity), Allah says they must be k##lled..." |
Yesterday's match was a forgettable one . I watched the match till around 89th minute and went to sleep . How can we not have a shot on target for almost 1 hour 30 minutes of football ? 🤷🏼♂️ That match just shows we are a team without a manager that knows how to tweak things to get a difficult result . After the end of first 45 mins I was expecting the manager to tweak things and have a team with different tactics and mentality come on for the second half . Unfortunately ma same same we play for second half . My fear now is even if we find a way to beat Porto and qualify for the next round , other more disciplined opponents will use the Porto tactics and give us more problem . I'm a fan of Arteta but he needs to learn to do things differently ; if not we will keep losing knockout matches under his watch . Porto just played like a more disciplined and focused Newcastle yesterday . |
We still don't have a shot on target and they keep mounting pressure on our defence |
Rice will get a red card if they don't take him off now 🤦♂️ That yellow card Saliba made him collect in the second minute of the match no make sense at all |
Itsrm:Some clever by half person probably advised Tinubu's government to go for a 2 pronged attack . They clamp down on binance as a platform providing P2P service for those who want to buy virtual dollars and go after BDC operators for those that want to buy physical dollars . What that advisor didn't tell them is that it is just a temporary solution that won't achieve much success in the long run . Why ? Because the BDC operators will lie low for a while and not converge at their regular selling points like broad street on Lagos island , Eko hotel roundabout and other locations where abokia converge physically to sell dollars . This only mean dollar will be more scarce and when those abokis decide to sell codedly it will be at a price reflecting scarcity of dollars . The binance and other FX exchange ban is also a temporary fix that won't hold for long . Other platforms will come up and both buyers and sellers will still transact business albeit with attendant risks . Everybody knows these strategies will not hold for too long , but let's wait and see where it will lead to |
9jatriot:I see u have closed ur mind to learning and deliberately set ur mind to missing the point. I wish u Goodluck in ur propagandist agenda |
SpecialAdviser:Sometimes one needs to correct some of these misinformations ; so that in 10 years time some youngings will not be quoting a fooolish unchallenged op as defence for their argument |
Shegzdave:I saw wrong update ni jare |
Martinelli on bench ? Why 🤷🏼♂️ Edited : wrong line-up update |
BigIyanga:My brother , it's topic like this that exposes some of these empty headed propagandist as dull and willing political tools in the hands of their pay masters . They don't even understand the workings of the economy of their own nation beyond whatever nonsense they pass down to them in their WhatsApp groups for them to regurgitate . |
laiperi:Mention one major industry u know that don't import raw materials in this country . Is it the plastic industry ? Is it the factories making fruit juice ? Is it the pharmaceuticals ? Is it the agro tech ? Is it those making paper ? Like I told ur fellow compatriot up there , some of u are ignorant and u are proud of it. Some of us have seen enough Form M's in this life time to know that the Nigerian manufacturing industry is heavily import dependant. |
9jatriot:You still don't get it ? 🤦♂️ Omo! For 4ck sake! Nothing concerns CBN in this matter ! He's talking about customs duties ; as in the fee u pay to the government when u import any item into the country . Customs duties also affects manufacturers cos they need to pay duties on raw materials they bring into the country before they produce anything with it. Don't u get ? Let me break it down for u once more with example . Let's say animal care that produces animal feed locally needs to import chemicals they need to use in their factory . When they already benchmark they will pay duties at N1000/1$ and within 3 weeks customs increased the exchange rate for paying duties to N1250/1$. That will lead to an increase in their costs. When they eventually clear it , process the chemicals and make animal feed ; poultry farmers will buy it at a higher than normal price . The poultry farmer too will sell his eggs and live chicken at a higher price and then u will start wondering why there is increase in the price of egg and chicken we produce here in Naija. I know u and APC minions think Peter Obi is speaking as an importer of foreign goods; but whether u like it or not the constant arbitrary increase in customs duty is definitely not favoring u and ur family |
Some of u just lack comprehension and u are too proud to ask more knowledgeable people to break it down for u before u start running propaganda with what u don't understand . How did what u quoted as Peter Obi's comment on duty charges correlate with the misleading topic of this thread ? For educational purposes , let me break it down for u. When a manufacturer for example wants to import raw materials for production of goods and services ; they open Form M at the prevailing market rate at that time; leats say N1500/1$ . When the raw material gets to the country , the manufacturer will be required to pay customs duties in naira to Nigeria Customs. Now that's where the problem is cos the federal government through customs has increased the rate of customs duties several times arbitrarily in the last few months. It's more like u already made provision for customs duties to be paid at N900/1$ and by the time ur cargo is in Nigeria ; FG thru customs has already jacked it up to N1050/1$. The manufacturer will have no other choice than to pay the duties at that rate , but he will pass that incremental cost down to me and u who are the final consumer of the product that eventually comes out of the factory . That is why price of locally made goods keep increasing . It's myopic to think every "importer" imports foreign made goods to sell. For ur information, almost all manufacturers import raw materials to use in the manufacture of their product and that's why Peter Obi is advising the government to tone down on the continued increase in dollar rate for customs duties or else prices of goods will keep going up . |
Incognito9:He knows what he's doing; it's just normal APC propaganda. A number 3 man in the country is quoting unverified report....Lmao |

[quote author=Realmrsean post=128571529]efcc is on a clampdown parade with bdc what's the aim of these parade now? Is it to arrest them or what ? Or has the federal government declared Bureau De Change illegal business ? |
Ellexy:This won't work. VPN will be used to bypass any teleco blockade. It's unfortunate these are the unreasonable strategies all the technocrat surrounding Tinubu can come up with. |
Emaprince:I don't have a dog in the fight . If Buharists like make dem tear BATists boxers . Na one family (APC) bind them together |
Ellexy:It's giving vibes like they are just waiting for Peter Obi to tweet for people to go out & protest and they will have DSS arrest him almost immediately . If he like , make he fall for the trap |
livelongprospa:Omo ; selling of dollars via telegram will only lead to scammers making money cos dem go really carry people money run o. |
izzou:Omo! My tired is tired . All of these is enough for Buharists like Dalung to be insulting BATists because mehn.... they will just feel all the 8 years of Buhari that Tinubu was always holding annual colloquium giving unsolicited advices ; e reach him turn he just press " Ctrl + spoil " for keyboard 🤮 All the yeye technocrats in his team this is all they can come up with . Smh |
liveLongNprospa:I hope it's not true cos if it is; then it means Buhari is not the clueless president we ever had ; Tinubu may have outdone him in that regards by this move. |
Incognito9:Master strategist don finally craze ![]() To reduce pressure on naira dem wan push EFCC out to dey arrest people wey buy dollar with their hard earned money ? Shey na Tinubu dem draw for dollar note ni Abi I'm not really understanding . What exact financial crime will they be arresting the suspects for ? |
GloriousGbola:Once ur google mail is logged-in on a browser and that same browser is used to open YouTube either by ur kids or spouse ; videos similar to whatever they decide to watch at that time will always pop anytime u later use YouTube by urself . It will take total clearing of cookies and logging off that google mail account before the algorithm stop. Sometimes I feel google don steal all our data finish 🤦♂️ |
[quote author=liveLongNprospa post=128557863]Iamoyindamola and BlueRayDick Abeg wetin she dey talk and why these people nor dey regard OBJ? a tribalist who believes Yorubas that are complaining need to endure and not lament because Tinubu is Yoruba. She says Yorubas that are complaining , those saying "ebi n' pawa", and those doing videos showing they are recording low sales at their business place; they should exercise restraint and allow Tinubu rule as the first real Yoruba to be president in this country . She is not convinced Obasanjo is Yoruba enough particularly due to the fact that he was ex-military and was more interested in working with other tribes while he was president . She believes if Yorubas keep complaining loudly about the hardship in the land , other tribes will mock us . In a nut shell, she's a privileged agba Dorian who believes those lamenting about the hardship in the land just want to give Tinubu bad name. She obviously cares more about her support for Tinubu & his hardship inducing policies than the suffering the people are going through . |
Section 81(1) of the Constitution reserves the power of budget preparationIf it is indeed the executive that prepares the national budget, how is it that Tinubu the head of the executive submitted a budget that has N57.6billion allocation for purchase of luxury vehicles to the legislature for approval? So the defense is if he doesn't include that "peace offering" in the budget at a time Nigeria is going through financial crisis they (the legislature) will not sign the budget and possibly impeach him? ![]() |
And so it begins! https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3kVWrKoSO9/?igsh=c3k3aHNidDhrdHA0 Dangote Truck has been blocked and looted somewhere in the north . 🤦♂️ I hope this thing does not lead to total anarchy . |
iamoyindamola:Civil servants have always been like that sha. The fact that APC lost the election in FCT ( A civil servant state ) and even failed to poll 25% of the votes in FCT speaks a lot of volume |
Unlimited22:Exactly. Soyinka knows the game he's playing. His first son was commissioner under Ibikunle Amosun's govt in Ogun state. The man is an ACN/APC guy. |
