larride:Thank God u were reasonable and financially responsible not to fall for that “ it’s your first fruit “ trap . So many people have fallen for it and ended up in debt which nobody later helped them to settle . That culture of doing Party whether one is financially stable or not usually push people into serious debt . Even if u have people that claim they will support u; it will shock u later that they might just buy bottles of drink or pay for someone go bring pepper soup which will not make much difference in the total money u will spend on the ceremony if u fall for their trap. When my old man passed and we were planning for his 8 days Fridau prayers , We were bouncing ideas on what to do ;my sisters in their plans were thinking of making some spendings that is outside the budget we have in our books . I asked where the extra fund would come from and I noticed they were banking on whatever inflow would come from his former club members , friends , old colleagues , their own friends etc . I just shut the idea down even though I’m the youngest . I clearly let them know it was financially irresponsible to do so and it will lead to unnecessary debt if things don’t work out well. This is a man we’ve spent money on medical bills for like a year and half before his demise , if anybody say we no try make he wait for his turn and let’s see what he or she will do differently . So we ditched idea of doing all the wahala of preparing different types of swallow , preparing different type of soup . Just shared akara in the morning and packed rice , chicken +1 PET drink + 1 table water as takeaway for the guests after the prayers . Anybody that wants to eat swallow should prepare it when they get back to their house . Later my sisters were grateful for my hard stand because the inflows they thought would come in never really did. Some yeye people even told them “ when u people want to do final burial don’t worry u will hear from us in a big way “ ![]() If u no use ur head for Nigeria , people will use it for u. |
MorataFC:He’s a very good friend and we came up together . He just doesn’t know how to pick his priorities right |
Amoto94: |
Itsrm:Yes it's that serious. A friend wanted to receive some funds and his creditor told him he's been trying to send it to his access bank account and it's not going through. My friend thought the person was whining , So he collected my bank details that is not access and asked the person to send to me which I received almost immediately. Later I transferred same money to my friend's access, He's yet to receive the money as of this morning since yesternight. |
Itsrm:Access Bank is having issues. I don't think it has been sorted till now |
mostob:Na 18 year old player dem wan use do Saka backup ? ![]() Arteta will not even use him |
mostob:Wetin we wan use 18 year old striker do at this point ? Wetin dey worry this club management sef? |
donjazzet:But this Kano judgement is fair now ...... How can u have as much as 160k votes which were casted on unsigned ballot papers? Those NNPP votes were cancelled because they were casted on unsigned ballot papers(according to the tribunal and Appeal court) When a ballot paper is not signed by INEC's presiding officer at the polling unit, whatever vote casted on it is invalid. It definitely means those ballot papers have questionable origin. Abi how u see am ? |
airmark:It's like you've not heard some of those guys saying "odds are just numbers" ? Then there are people who played longshot tickets and it was the fully fit Madrid they put in their ticket |
Itsrm:Truecaller sometimes fail jare |
Ballzproblemm:Some people who play bet but don't watch football will still carry them to win on their tickets ; later they will be cussing Madrid for losing ![]() |
izzou:I just hope that state will not burn considering how both APC and NNPP supporters in Kano state are very combustible |
Itsrm:This is so me. I just don't have the strenght to save all the numbers that call me except important ones or people I will need to call after that day. When some people call me and I ask "who am I speaking with please? " , They will want to be like " Ah, so u didn't save my number?". I just look at them say dem no know how stressful it will be if I save all the numbers that call me. Some people u go save their number finish u go post small whatsapp status dem go must react ![]() |
Emaprince:Me I still send text wella o. I use it most times when I have a call I don't want to pick; I will send a text to the number that I'm in a meeting and they should leave a text for me. When they send text I will then now decide whether I want to call the person back or finish our conversation via text messaging. It usually saves me a lot of stress. |
Itsrm:Yes o, I have serious soft spot for kids. The only thing I will not do is help u pay child's school fees because I feel that is ur responsibility as a man. |
iamoyindamola:I actually know what it means to not have at all; so when people genuinely do not have and they reach out to me, I always try to help with the little I can. When it involves kids it even gets me more concerned |
Itsrm:Lol. He never chop since morning and he no get hope for today. You know the funny thing , he will surely survive that day and the days after whether u give him the money or not. That is what I have learnt about people who use hunger as reason for begging, they will always survive. When hunger wire them they will always sort themselves out. One guy usually enter me with " I didn't eat yesterday night ; I had to sacrifice my food for my wife and kids..... Today I don't know what they will eat. Please help me with anything to even sort them" . The day I sat down, put one or two together and found out it was a format he was running on me; that was the day I put an end to it. The same person has been surviving since then. |

|
Itsrm:One of my friends will say “ won ti so e di client “ i.e such people have turned u to their client the way yahoo boy turn white men to client and start nursing/grooming them for bountiful harvest. They don’t care whether u have ur own responsibilities or not . When u decide ti be more financially prudent and shun their unreasonable demands , they think “ o’n ran Olorun leti ni “ ….u are reminding God to Settle their matter so they won’t have to seek ur financial assistance . They will literally guilt trip u over ur money |
GloriousGbola:Yea bro . Someone who was unable to foot all hospital bills by himself after delivery suddenly killing ram in 8 days time to celebrate the child’s naming ceremony courtesy of inflows he got from friends and well wishers . To think that he’s not even a Muslim that is expected to kill a ram for the naming . I would’ve shared zobo and biscuit to those who come for the naming if I was in shoes cos I know my house rent will be due in a months time and I will need those funds to sort it. |
Ibime:I also experienced something similar , but not exactly the same. I have a very close friend ( one of the very few I hold dearly ) . We were planning his wedding and in less than 2 months to the wedding day his mum died after slumping . The death took everyone by surprise and really shook him. At a point we were contemplating shifting the wedding but eventually the family decided he should go ahead with it. In the wake to the wedding I had to dig deep into my savings to come through for him when he kept lamenting about a whole lot of things he’s yet to put in place due to the sudden death of his mum and how much he spent during the burial (which I also supported him financially for ). He even made me spend extra money by buying a new piece of suit to be his best man which I never planned before . On the wedding eve I had to take it upon myself to foot bills for the hotel we will sleep overnight when I noticed he didn’t have any plan nor funds for it and was resigned to us sleeping in his parent’s house where a gazillion family members were sleeping over in preparation for the wedding . Within the first year of the wedding he was always complaining about his business not doing well and when I do have I raise him one or two change to sort minor issues . Fast forward to the delivery of his first child , after announcing the arrival of the baby he told me how much he’s trying to raise to have his wife and child discharged from the private hospital . I gave him what I can knowing fully well he will still come up with some request in 8 days time which will be naming ceremony . True to character he requested for financial asssitance few days to the naming and I was suggesting that he should just do a low key one since the funds are not really there now. On the morning of the naming I sent him what I can and later he confided in me that my cash was timely cos that was what he used to buy a bag of rice that morning immediately alert entered . I didn’t go for the naming cos it was a work day but my spouse who did , what she described was definitely not a budget naming ceremony and the pictures my guy uploaded later confirmed same . Less than a month after naming my guy’s house rent was due and he needs to borrow money to add to his rent . He told me he had the house rent complete before the naming but he had to spend out of it for the naming since Yoruba have a saying that “ ti Igi ba wo lugi, toke e ni won man koko gbe “ i.e if a tree falls on another fallen tree, u will definitely have to lift the one on top to be able to reach the one underneath . So he had to first sort the naming before the rent payment . I just shook my head at his scale of priorities and cautioned myself to never be foooolish by going all out for people who don’t know how to prioritize their needs . I took several steps backwards on his matter because I just don’t see myself continuing to sponsor his bad choice of order of priorities . |
izzou:Just 5 months he moved from loving all Tinubu’s policies to being mentally stressed . 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂️ Na so love dey be ? |
a4turitoroman:He's a fooolish boy. I thought it was real when Zlatan his own Gee posted about his death; I guess that one too knew about the nonsense. Smh. They should keep doing this nonsense and later complain that we don't take people who speak about depression serious |
This Lesotho team is more organized than Nigeria's.... smh |
iamoyindamola:Na wa o; now I get. Make he sha no get injury again |
iamoyindamola:People who get hope are free to exercise their faith; no be crime. However, some of us know that those directing the affairs of this country are not in any way close to the right direction. |
Amigoss:U didn't listen to that part well; he said he's not a religious person but a spiritual person. He was actually speaking to the fact that one can be religious and yet not practise what they preach and all. Meaning he's a practical person. And Yes, Cabasa is a pastor...Even Reminisce mentioned it in his own episode on the podcast |
izzou:We need to put these things in context na. How does someone who actively participated in the looting of this country about 25-28 years ago find his way into government of the day's cabinet? Now Tinubu's government like other previous government may likely get its fair share of the abacha loot windfall from one of the western countries ; Somehow Atiku Bagudu will be part of the decision makers at the FEC level to decide how the refund will be utilized "judiciously". That is money wey he actively participated in its looting some years back o This country ehn |
iamoyindamola:But if the club doctors have evidence to show that he's still injured, the club can decline the country's request to release the player right ? |
iamoyindamola:Ah, that's not what I said o. |
afrodoc2:And Atiku Bagudu the bag man is now our minister for Budget and economic planning. |

24hrs later, shishi no drop from anybody. We did the naming ceremony as we wanted to do it and that was it. Even those that was expecting that after 3 month when we go do child dedication and Thanksgiving for church that we might do small thing, we no do anything. It was just me, my wife and daughter and my mother in-law that went for the dedication.
