I also know someone is a senior partner at a venture Capital who holds the CFA charter. He gets paid in dollars and when I tried converting his annual package to Naira, I just open mouth. He is in his early 50's .

Even some senior engineers in companies that do oil exploration earn quite well and can afford to buy brand new benz of their choice, but like I said most won't buy .

There's a reason why I said it depends on the company the person works for, your years of experience and qualifications.

She's not right; she's only speaking based on where she see things reach.

There are legit jobs u can do to buy brand new Benz; it's just that those jobs are very few and it will take you years of experience, some rare professional qualifications and a bit of luck to land such jobs.

Another thing is most people who have such jobs do not see the buy a brand new Benz even though they can afford it.

Iamoyindamola I noticed that almost all those streaming apps that have great shows Ike HULU, Paramount , peacock, HBO Max , etc don’t have services available to Nigerians except for just Netflix and Prime Video.

Is there any particular app one can download on a smartTV with little or no ads issues that will make most of the great shows available to one for streaming ?

Nobody will call Davido a deadbeat, we still saw videos of him and Imade on an outing 2 weeks ago splashed all over the internet.

From all Indications, Davido has always had access to the child, but he wants joint custody. He wants a situation where he can have the girl to himself either in America or Nigeria on a stretch of days without the mother being able to say no (because the courts granted him that right) The child's mother doesn't want that for reasons best known to her. She wants him to make do with having access to her anytime he's around like he's been doing.

Davido actually deserves the lady shutting off his custody suit considering how he tried to run off with the child while she was still a baby. If not for Dele Momodu being influential, Davido would've flown out of the country with the child with his sister posing as her mum.

Davido is not a saint in this matter at all. Did he expect the baby mama will forget that incident and hand him custody 10 years after?

No now. Watch the video again, u will see clearly that the person fell directly on the path of the ambulance so close to the ambulance with no time for the driver to brake or swerve well enough not to run her over.

What I don't understand is if the lady was pushed or she was just unfortunate to have fall to the path of the ambulance at the wrong time.

You want custody of a child, and they are asking you to explain what happened to a child that was in your custody.

It is like some people do not understand what court of law means and the proceedings that take place in there. There is a good reason it is not called court of emotions or court of public opinion.

If you go to court and be getting all emotional, you will just make your opponent lawyer's job too easy.

Whether Sophia has vices or not is immaterial. Davido was the one who sued Sophia for custody so if Davido feels Sophia is unfit to take care of Imade, then let Davido's lawyer argue that in court. Sophia's lawyer will not do the work of Davido's lawyer.

Sophia lawyer has done her job by portraying Davido as unfit to care for the girl because a child that was previously in his custody died due to parental negligence.

The judge didn't rule on Davido's emotional outburst but the point Sophia lawyer raised in court.

If Davido thinks Sophia leaves Imade with nanny regularly like he did with his deceased son, it is left for Davido's lawyer to make that point known to the judge and convince the judge that what happened to Ifeanyi was a tragic incident that could've happened to any child even when the parent is around.

Unfortunately, Davido didn't stay cool enough to allow his own lawyer counter the point raised by Sophia's lawyer. The moment he lost his cool and let his emotion shine through he bungled the case for himself and made his lawyer's job very difficult.

You calling the lawyer's card despicable doesn't make it so in the eyes of the law. If it was, Davido's lawyer would've raised an objection to his client answering the question and the judge would've sustained the objection ; but that didn't happen.

I don't think any reasonable person should support Davido going after the lawyer on social media. If anything, he should go after his ex baby mama who employed the lawyer to do everything legally possible to deny him joint custody. Davido's anger is misplaced. This is not a case of beating a child and telling if not to cry.

There are senior lawyers who have been reprimanded in court before by young judges. Imagine such lawyers coin non social media to talk about how they've been practising law before the judge finished law school.... Blah blah.... I mean imagine someone like Afa Babalola getting reprimanded in court by a young judge and he comes to social media to start calling out the juste and his family. It's a no no.

Normally, Davido suppose visit therapist after the death of e child, that he's still losing his cool the way he's done is sign that there's a lot of trauma from the child's death he's dealing with, and lessons he's yet to learn.

I'm sure he knew Sofia's counsel would ask such questions, if Davido's lawyer didn't prepare him for that they'd be thoroughly incompetent...maybe he thinks such flagrant display of "passion" would get him favorable judgement

I agree with you that seeking professional help would've helped him del better with the trauma of losing a child in a tragic manner.

But I also think part of why Davido is angry is because the lawyer's question portrays him as a failed parent in an open court. It annoys his soul that he's being reminded of that.

So that show he put in court is like him protesting being refer to as a failed parent.

If you take loan from any CBN licensed institution like normal commercial banks (Access,GTB, Zenith, union bank, Stanbic, etc), microfinance bank and the likes of dem Fintechs (Opay, Palm Pay, Monie point) and you decide to not pay back..... There's fire on the mountain.

Those financial institutions can simply petition CBN and have the outstanding loan you have with them recovered from any bank account you have with other banks. See, there's no room for emotions getting the better of you during cross examination because the opponent's lawyer will do everything possible to use Ur emotion against you. That is why you have your own lawyer to prepare you well ahead of time about possible questions you may face and how best to answer them without arming the lawyer cross examining you weapon to score points against you in front of the judge.

Davido dragged Sophia to court to get judgement against her for joint custody. So Sophia got a lawyer whose job is to prove to the court why Davido should not be given what he seeks.

So the lady raising the issue of Ifeanyi is very relevant to the case even though it seem morally inappropriate, but it is a valid and legal point she raised. The child was deceased at a time Davido and his wife were not home and the the child was in custody of a nanny. If Davido has joint custody of Imade, there will be times Davido will have custody and he will have to leave the child in care of nanny like he left the late Ifeanyi. The lawyer is exploring that argument to argue against Davido's case which is not in any way illegal.

Morality and law are two different things. Calling the lawyer and judge shameless is just a mere opinion which doesn't change anything for Davido as far as the case is concerned

He has a lot of things that would normally make the judge favor the baby mama's argument against his. Imagine he has bunch of guys who are always with him who smoke regularly which is not good for a child to grow around...

He travels often due to nature of his job and would most likely have the child being cared for by nanny. And to think the deceased child was actually in the care of a nanny when the unfortunate incident happened to his late son.

He probably didn't think things through before taking the matter to court. I believe his dad should've reached out to Sophia's elders in her family to work something out for the two of them from onset instead of Davido going to court.

Sophia lawyer was simply doing her job to win the case for her client and in the course of a lawyer's job in the court room emotions don't matter.

Her job is to make sure the judge see reasons why Davido should not get the custody he dragged Sophia to court for. The question she asked was very valid Irrespective of how upset it made Davido. The lawyer is simply trying to establish reason why Sophia will not be willing to share custody with him by pointing out what happened to his late child that was in his custody.

I guess if Davido had taken time to watch some of those law themed TV shows he would've seen how lawyers can be very brutal during cross examination.

Davido was in court to fight for joint custody with a Sophia for their daughter ; Imade. During cross examination Soohia's lawyer asked how can Davido guarantee Imade's safety should he be given joint custody considering he was unable to protect his late son Ifeanyi who passed on tragically in 2022.

Davido was triggered by this and he allegedly lost his cool resulting in him blasting lawyer right inside the court. The judge had to halt proceedings and when the court session resumed Davido was asked to apologize to the court and the lawyer for his "unruly" behaviour.

Davido refused to apologize to the lawyer and it seemed he lost the case eventually Sha.

Some people are saying the lawyer is not was wicked by hitting below the belt by opening old wounds with the cross examination but others are saying the lawyers question is valid and devoid of emotion.

People's fears is in the last paragraph of the screenshot you posted. The broad catch-all provision that says "Any other cases" is what people fear may be used to deport naturalized citizens who may not have committed any of the serious crimes mentioned in the 5th paragraph.
