pippimp: When you tell yourself a particular thing over and over again, you start to believe it. The life of a husband and wife in Africa is that of master and slave and the bible fuels this mentality. I wonder what you will do if you move to an organised society? You will just die. You know my problem with you is that you do not get anything. If you were patient enough to reason, you will see in my post that I never said the Husband is a master I only pointed to synonyms and I advise you not to get entangled. I'm quite sure you are not married. Anyways, It's your choice to have headaches. Have a nice day. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by Bluffly: 2:16pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
CSTR2: That is a very narrow way of looking at it. The English language is too limited to adequately translate many ancient Hebrew words correctly. When relating to marriage in the scriptures,The direct opposite of master is not slave. It is more like master and willing helper. There is a world of difference between a slave and a willing helper. You are not in the picture of this argument so leave it alone. What you wrote has nothing to do with me. Read threads and responses before you start commenting. Comment on pippimp: |

pippimp: The cleaner in my office is just an employee who is employed to clean. I do not think of him as a slave nor i his master. Therein lies your problem. The fact that you can use that example exemplifies your way of thinking. I just don't get it. The fact that you are black does not mean your thought process should also be like that too na. Smh My friend, I gave you an advice from the beginning which is "do not get entangled with definitions and focus on God's inspiration" so keep to that advice and have whatever implied meaning you so desire to have as your destiny is in your own hands. Please stop barking and spilling trash from your guts. |

pippimp: Comprehension is your main problem. If you did not have a problem with what i wrote, then why respond in the first place. And to enlighten your small mind, common sense should tell any rational human being that if you have a master it automatically means you have a subject or slave. How do you people think for God's sake. I know the educational system in Nigeria is bad, but it can't be that bad na. So the cleaner in your office is a slave, your driver is a slave, you are a slave to your boss in your office. You know you are dumb. Anyways, you have the right to choose your implied meanings. My advice to you is to seek God's inspiration other than a man's definition. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by Bluffly: 12:55pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
pippimp: So, your definition and interpretation of leader and partner is master? Guy, you will not survive in an organised society/company with that kind of mentality. Just so you know, whatever you call a thing is the way you treat it. When you have a master, you will have a slave/subject. Please do not be paranoid and act like a confused being. You work on your mentality. In what I wrote, point out where I said the interpretation is a master. Try to re-attend an English Class. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by Bluffly: 11:57am On Sep 08, 2016 |
pippimp: Guy. The fraudster/pastor is talking rubbish. Husband means "PARTNER" not master. They both compliment each other. What he should have said was, traditionally, the husband is expected to "LEAD". It is normal for one of two partners to lead. That's just how it is. But to claim that the man is the master is just stupidity on his part. I wonder why people listen to people like this? Do not get entangled with synonyms just focus on God's inspiration. as long as they are two, they are partners with a leader and leader is also the head. And the use of master does not make the other a slave. Whichever way it is still a partnership. Just focus on the inspiration. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by Bluffly: 11:40am On Sep 08, 2016 |
HMZi: Is this what happened to his marriage? Pastors should stick to the word of GOD and stop including additions of their own...yes the husband is the head of the house but master? is the woman the slave or servant?.. Synonyms!!!. I will advise you do not get entangled. Head-Follower,Master-Servant. The word Master does not indicate a tyrant and neither does the word servant indicates slave. Just get understanding with all thy gettings. |

Beremx: We should stop deceiving ourselves. The local production of rice cannot solve the high demand of rice by Nigerians. Rice still has to be imported to support the local production. If those country exporting rice to Nigeria believes that they cannot sustain local production of rice in their country to the point of being able to export, can they be where they are? Better change your mindset and get to work. |

wizzypro06: OPEN LETTER TO FUNAABITES
If you are a funaabite and you care about this school, you would please read this through. The protest that escalated into Riot yesterday sent signals that we all should take note of, As much as I am happy that we finally stood up for something am afraid It might be the last time such would happen, because of the intimidation we are going to face. But we shouldn't be discouraged, it should rather spur us to stand up and against injustice, some of us made daring sacrifices yesterday, it was reported that 34 students were arrested, one of us was shot at by the police which they vehemently denied, through their spokesperson on channelsTV report yesterday, Taiwo isn't dead "and we are seriously praying for his recovery" but he made a daring sacrifice for us all. He took a bullet for us and we shouldn't let this heroic act just pass. While all these happened some of us cowardly sat in our hostels with our phone and updated ourselves as it all went down. To the brave hearts that came out "THANK YOU", to the creative minds that wrote and tweeted "THANK YOU" Nobody, particularly none of us would have thought We could muster enough courage to take to the streets. We have always been regarded as Advanced Secondary School students, but something changed yesterday. Yesterday was the day I had imagined but never thought was going to manifest. The Nigerian Police Force under whosoever's authority might have succeeded in chasing us off the street by firing bullets at us (which by the way, the Police were never supposed to come to a protest or riot with guns talk less of firing at students) But the STRUGGLE CONTINUES and every one, to the very last one of us should be involved in this STRUGGLE, Now that we are off the streets let' s pick our PENS and write, let's pick our PHONES and tweet, let our voices be heard. There is an advantage we have, we have the number, over 15,000 students in this school. Question needs to be asked The Police yesterday claimed on CHANNELS TV, they didn't shoot at anybody. Then they should then explain what poor Taiwo is doing in UCH where he is been treated for gunshot wound. They arrested 34 students that are going to definitely be tortured like criminals because they protested, should we allow these Sacrfices by these students just pass by. Lets not forget that if this set of useless Policemen have done their job, none of this would have happened, we probably won't be at this point. They have succeeded in making us VICT IMS and made themselves VILLIANS Like I said earlier we are going to be intimidated and if we are not careful they would break us to the point where we won't be able to raise our heads anymore. Now more than ever we need to stand in ONE VOICE. Mark my words the School is going to make an attempt to expell those 34 students arrested by the police, but TOGETHER we are going to refuse that, The school might attempt to suspend the SUG and with ONE VOICE we are going to refuse that. It is time to let them know we have a SAY in the affairs of the school. If the have always had their way controlling the SUG officials, they can't control all of us. And we all have a part to play in this, start by spreading the word. Make sure every Funaabite you are in contact with reads this. "ALUTA CONTINUA" and VICTORY is cetatin. *Copied* Kindly Re_BC There is theft in the environment and you want it resolve, so destroying properties is the way out. I wonder if you all are students or thugs. |

Things are spiraling out of government control but they don't seems to realize the danger ahead.
So..so unfortunate Buhari advisers aren't telling him that operation crocodile tears is not the solution. They are threatening the government with arms and ammunition and you want the government to speak English always. Hmm |

Yomieluv: My neighbor in my new apartment has an issue..
she wrote Waec,may/June in 1995 with this exam number-26307132 at Asakanran grammar school I Ogun state..
she made all the papers, which she later proceeded to Laspotech for her OND,and she graduated with no issues.
she later went for her HND in the same school, and on graduation, when she went for clearance, she was told she used a fake waec result,as the exam info she submitted can't be found online after about 19years.
upon checking the result online ,Waec site displayed " no result for the candidate ".
she has complained to waec several times both in writing, and other avenues.
1..is it possible for waec to withdraw after issuing certificate..
2.her HND result is pending, but she had no issues with her OND..does it mean Laspotech didn't very her result for ond,or what, she told the authority it is the same result she used for her Ond,and Laspotech is insisting on online verification of result, after providing the authority with proof from the school she wrote.
3..what can be done in this situation now.
4..what can be the major cause of the withdrawal of the online result.
5.she has her waec certificate, and the transcript, which was signed by the school, and waec as a proof of authenticity on her part..
6.no reason was given by waec after she complained to waec. Try this http://www.waeconline.org.ng/verification/ |

What the government needs to do is to just reduce HND course from two years to One Year. |
