victorVIC1: Na until this situation escalate beyond control these people go hear word. A smart suggestion has been proffered to retain the old N200 notes till the situation normalises. With this, the aim of CBN is achieved and people still get to take care of petty transactions when their debit card and mobile app are not forthcoming. But as usual, they won't adopt this strategy too. Where are the old 200 NGN notes |

SouthSouth1914: Emefiele, your defiance is nothing but a charade. This is a “Try a luck” policy. In all the policies the apex bank has brought so far, this is the stupidest of them all.
People can’t access their funds, shortage of the new currency, POS charges skyrocketing even for the old notes all in a situation where Nigerians have found themselves in hyperinflation. You and this APC government are a disgrace to modern day government and banking! Let us call a spade a spade. Emeifele did no wrong. Did the banks put a dime of what they received into the ATM machine? who has been able to withdraw comfortably over the counter? The implementation is not just about Naira redesign but inflation control and insecurity fight cum or maybe political vote buying. Looking at these reasons, there is no other way to implement it. It is the commercial banks that traded the policy and started selling the currency to some big shots, the same way they give loans to only big shots. What I just see is that they should have circulated enough 100 naira notes before implementation. |

StPete: This story is definitely one-sided and looks like something concocted to paint the guy in bad light. The most probable thing I see from the marriage might be that the lady married the guy because she thought he had money. The family of the girl was also drawn to the guy because they thought he had money
Lemme wait to hear from the guy because this story is embellished to draw pity toward the girl Even if she thought she had money, does that warrant the maltreatment. |

Nigerians refusing progressive change. The downside of this policy is the Nigerian peculiarity was not considered. Instead of Nigerians growing and seeing how e-channels can be embraced to a large extent we are busy complaining. The government should even make only 100 naira notes available in ATMs for petty buying.
The likes of the USA has introduced higher notes before but now you will not find anything bigher than 100 bills. Let us look for a way to control inflation.
We move to start producing most of our consumption and keep less cash in circulation.
It won't be easy but we must |

She should be ashamed of herself. How can a final year student and someone just about to graduate not know the spelling of papa, popsy or pupsy and how did she not see or spot the error on the shirt he was wearing and advertising? That was supposed to be the spelling of her private part! How could she not spot that? Was English Language her course of study? Was slang ever formalised to be studied? |
