Nodogragra4me: Your imputation is very appalling.... The Bible says then Jesus said ....But you left that his statement even when I bolded it to concentrate on the added information.... So in your holy spirit interpretation, Jesus allowed the oil to be used on his feet rather than be sold and allow Judas steal the money ..... Are you saying he wasn't hold enough to expose Judas directly ..... It is the writers of the scripture that imputed the character of Judas ...He was the banker of the group........ Jesus never address Judas in that passage beyond ...Leave her alone for she has kept this into my death ....The poor you will have always .......... In that room where the event took place , according to the scripture the only statement made was that of Judas taking selling the oil and Jesus talking about the reason Mary had kept the oil and the poor.....How the did he expose Judas hypocrisy...... He never said, let her use it on my feet after all wit all the offerings we still have deficit .... You need serious understanding. When did Jesus ever expose any of Judas Iscariot's bad behavior? Did Jesus confront Judas directly for planning to betray Him? Why did Jesus speak directly to Peter but never spoke directly to Judas Iscariot? My friend, you need the Holy Spirit. |

That should include Sunday school teachers. So, how come only pastors get these privileges? There is a verse about laborers of the vineyard getting paid for their labors. How come choristers minister for free? How come people sweep and tend the Church for free? How come pastors are the only paid laborers in the vineyard? |

Nodogragra4me: So to show the hypocrisy of Judas he allowed a very expensive oil to be used on his feet and the hair if the lady to be used to wipe his feet. And the so called hypocrisy wasn't mentioned as part of the statement credited to Jesus Christ but imputed by the writers of the Bible ...the very word of Jesus Christ in the passage .... How do you expose something without pointing it out .... Who taught you how to read the scripture? I recommend you go do BCC IN winners WOFBI ...Or you can the get the red letter Bible ...It will solve your confusion....In that Bible only the words or statement of Jesus are in red ......YOU can't separate the statement of Jesus Christ from the passage
Here is the entire account of event:
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment. Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscar´i-ot, Simon's son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.” John 12:3-8 I told you that you need the Holy Spirit. If not, you will continue to see the Bible as a storybook. If Jesus had asked that the oil be sold and put in the moneybag, of what use would it be since Judas Iscariot would steal from it? The hypocrisy was that it was the same Judas Iscariot who was always stealing from the moneybag and who would still have stolen the proceeds from selling the oil that was suggesting that to Jesus. The hypocrisy is that Judas never cared for the poor. His eyes were on the quality of oil which would fetch good money. It was greed pushing him and Jesus quickly exposed his hypocrisy and used the opportunity to motivate the disciples to always remember the poor. |

Why didn't he ask that the expensive oil be sold and the money given to the poor .... Jesus Christ knew it was futile for any one to try to make the poor rich through handout ....
The Almight fed the poor, it didn't take poverty away from them instead it increased it and they came again and he sent them away hungry I have already explained the bold here on Nairaland before. Jesus did not stop the perfuming of his feet to show the hypocrisy of Judas Iscariot. Judas Iscariot who was a thief was seeming to love the poor but Jesus exposed his hypocrisy. For how can Judas, who was fond of stealing from the moneybag, care for the poor? To understand the Bible, you need to read it with the aid of the Holy Spirit. You also need to start reading verses in full and not in isolation so as not to limit your grasp of the message being passed around. |

After feeding the 5000, He fed another 4000. Feeding the flock "real" food is not to remove their poverty but to show love. “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?” (James 2:15–16). |

Nodogragra4me: I have told you that poverty is spiritual ...Google some of the biggest lottery wins in history and how the beneficiaries ended. Even the sale of the entire assets of Bishop Oyedepo and the transfer of the proceed to you for onward distribution to your chosen poor won't get any of them out of poverty.
The 'mega church' and the rich folks there didn't fall from heaven as 'mega and rich. Oyedepo will tell you for free that they started as three and the half member because one of them wasn't consistent and from the first day of commissioning, they started paying tithe to Redeemed. They didn't start paying because they have become mega. Every single income of those small beginning paid tithe.....They didn't do it because it was convenient ... You claim they don't sacrifice as they preach only because you are seeing only their today. Everything they are asking you to do they experienced and even much more than you
The challenge is that you are more carnal about the things of the spirit than you are prepared to admit. You know this letters of the scripture but the spirit of the word is lacking hence poor result. Even Jesus Christ that could command money out if the mouth of a fish sent his disciples without purse and they did wonders ... Ask yourself why your ministry didn't find favour with men in that community or there are no middle class propel in that environment. ....The spirit of favour is what is lacking I shake my head at the nonsense that they have fed you with. First of all, poverty is not spiritual. Poverty can be chosen, as in the case of Jesus, and the Franciscan monks. Second, the wonder of taking a coin out of the mouth of a fish was not performed by the disciples but by Jesus. Why didn't Jesus ask his disciples to feed the 5,000? Why did Jesus have to multiply the bread and fish Himself? If Oyedepo and others are sacrificing as much as they ask their followers to, they won't be able to have jets because they would have sold it long ago to feed the poor. That was what Jesus would have done. That was what Paul did. Lastly, the planters of the early churches had financial aid. Barnabas sold houses and estates to finance the kingdom (I still wonder if Oyedepo can sell just one of his jets to do this). The Church in Antioch backed Paul on his church planting mission. |

deturla: I am in my late twenties and yes, sister is 30 and she is being abused, YES! Verbally, emotionally and to make it worse, PHYSICALLY.
That was not the way it started, really. We all knew him to be caring, sensitive and loving. But everything turned out terrible.
She is a beautiful and soulful person but obviously found herself in a bad marriage. He appears normal and respectable but truly he is just not IT!
To make matters worse, Bisi (my sister) never really told us anything until we noticed ourselves. Anytime they come to our house with their two kids, I noticed that my sister was always overdoing things, always trying to please the man. Laughing unnecessarily and making everything seem out of place. Like she was keeping up appearances.
We never thought anything was wrong because they seemed very happy together!
Not until I went to her place to help her drive her car to the mechanic workshop. I was surprised as to why she could not drive herself only to discover that she has been bruised in the face all over. On further interactions with her, she told me she was slapped by her husband!
I was shocked, slap will make someone's face look like McGregor's face when he was battered my MayWeather? I had to report to my parents and they took it up. Had a family meeting and resolved everything amicably or so we thought but the abuse never stopped.
I have told her repeatedly to leave his house, but the shame of leaving a man's house with two kids will not leave her be. My sister always try to make excuses for him, saying he is a good man but will we wait till she is beaten beyond fixing by the GUY?
This 5th time however, when she was pushed to the wall and she fell, I was fortunate to get into their house when this happened, and this time I am going to take up the issue myself. First of all to report to the nearest police station, but before I do that, I want to arrange with some boys in my area to give him the beating of his life.
Am I validated for this? I just want him to have a pound of his own flesh, and to know what it means to physically abuse a woman; MY SISTER.
Please should I go ahead?
http://deedeesblog.com/i-want-to-beat-my-sisters-husband/
cc: lalasticlala mynd44 Don't make the mistake of calling boys to beat up someone. What if they beat him to death? You want your life wasted in jail or cut short by death? With the way things are, only your sister can decide on what to do. She has to choose between "shame" and being possibly punched to death one day. And please, don't waste your time reporting to the police. Because if the police ask your sister to press charges and she refuses, the police will lambaste you for being such a busybody. Only your sister can decide. |

Nodogragra4me: For now long did you imagined you were going to continue to teach, preach to their conscience to make donations so you can sell and help. ....Sir, poverty is spiritual.... Until you can get the spirit of poverty out of them you can't get them out of poverty irrespective of your physical effort......That same place is a miracle place for another Pastor operating divine wisdom .... You are not equipped enough yet You missed the whole point. I used my story to illustrate the hypocrisy and selfishness in the church of today. If I ask Oyedepo to sell his jet and give the money to the poor, I know he would give me 101 reasons why he needs the jet. Now, if Oyedepo asks a man to sow his car as a seed and the man starts looking for excuses to not sow the seed, I am sure Oyedepo would tell him not to let the Devil stop him from giving to God. That is hypocrisy. Pastors justify why they need to have universities, jets, etc. but will not want to tolerate excuses from the flock they claim to lead. I have heard pastors preach sacrifices when they do not even practice it. In the Early Church, the saints did things together. They lived as one. |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Really Happened In 1981? Pastors Adeboye, Oyakhilome, Oyedepo? by BluntBoy(m): 12:37pm On Sep 15, 2017 |
donnie: This thought has been on my mind for several years now having listened to the testimonies, biographies and read articles by and about these three great ministers of God whose ministries began in Nigeria but and are touching lives around the world. What happened in 1981?
Perhaps a special wind from God blew across Nigeria in 1981, resulting in the move of the Spirit that is currently shaking several nations with millions of members spread around the world.
According to Wikipedia, Enoch Adejare Adeboye (born 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, Osun State, Nigeria) is a Nigerian pastor. He was ordained General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year. Since his taking over leadership, the growth and spread of the RCCG around the world has been simply phenomenal. All it takes for a rccg church to grow is to have a venue and signage and people with troop in. That's simply called GRACE.
I heard the Man of God Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome, President of Believers Loveworld (aka Christ Embassy) speak of how that in 1981, the Lord spoke to him saying, "Take my divine presence to the peoples and nations of the World. This vision he has diligently pursued since then. Those who have been close to him will tell you that he carries that presence. It's in all he does...everything he touches grows to become number1. There is no place like the Healing School of Christ Embassy in this world. Rhapsody of Realities has grown to be the number1 most translated book in the world after the bible with over 862 languages; distributed in every nation and territory of the World. By end of 2017, they'd have distributed over 1Billion copies since inception.
I told someone that if the antichrist doesn't know Pastor Chris and Christ Embassy yet, he is still a learner.
Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church (winners chapel) is unapologetic in his praise and adoration of the Lord who called and prospered him and sent him to prosper others. With massive intimidating church structures, Universities, etc, he continuously provokes the world to envy as he displays what Faith in a living God can do in one's life.
He too received a mandate from God through an 18-hour vision in May 1981, to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith.
Now I ask again, what happened in 1981?
Recently, I was in a Pastor Chris and Benny Hinn meeting where Pastor Chris talked about a conference he attended in 1980 with Pa S.G. Elton a great minister of God and a Briton in Benin. Could that be it? The man S.G. Elton was said to have prophesied in that meeting concerning this move of God from Nigeria to the world and gave marching orders to the young people who came from around the country.
Could that be it? I also read that Pa Elton influenced the ministries of Pastor Oyedepo and Pastor Adeboye greatly.
So let me know what you think
Christians only please. Atheists, Muslims, busybodies; please your opinions are not welcome. Thanks! Brood of vipers. |

deturla: Please this young lady needs some help! Mature responses will make a whole lot of sense. Thanks!
I am confused right now. I don’t know what to do, the pastor of my father’s church just told me I cannot and should not marry my fiance. April 2017 made it 5 years we have been dating. It was also the month he proposed to me which I gladly accepted. 5 amazing years and it has been pure bliss. Not that we don’t have issues but we get to resolve these issues amicably. I have never had any course to regret this relationship. Our families both are cool and comfy with each other, and I had already started dreaming of a life together with him.
Until the bombshell dropped by my pastor saying he is not the man for me.
The pastor also went ahead to say that the marriage will be very smooth at the beginning but will be sour at the end. This part got to me and I was scared. Even to talk to him now is much of a problem, because I don’t know what to tell him. I confided in some of my friends and was informed of the story of a man who was told not to marry his wife by a Prophet, that he is going to lose the woman, but he went against the instructions of the Pastor and married the woman. After the 5th wedding anniversary, she started falling sick. She fell sick and was bedridden for 5 years before she gave up the ghost on their 10th year of marriage.
One of my aunts also shared her story with me, that prior to when she got married, she was told by a Pastor not to marry her fiance, and broke up with the guy before she went to another Pastor who told her she should never leave the man of her life for anything in the world. This made her quickly run back to the man and now they have been together for 10 years. Marriage is waxing stronger.
I have tried praying to God being a strong christian to give me signs on knowing whether my fiance is the man as my husband or not, but I have not seemed to see any signs from God. The only thing I noticed was his calm, faithful and trustworthy nature which have been a part of him over the years.
Please I need help, what do I do? Our marriage is slated for November 2017 and I am torn between my personal convictions and the vision of the Pastor.
http://deedeesblog.com/dees-inbox-pastor-said-cannot-marry-fiance/ Prophets put a lot of curses into people's lives so that when the curses manifest, people can fear them and be scared to disobey their useless orders. If you love your man, don't push him away. If the pastor starts making prophesies that sound like curses into your future with your man, reject them in Jesus's mighty name. |
