I don't care who you are and the extent of your relationship, but if you do this to my sister, you are finished.

I will find you, arrange boys and beat you to coma.
Then he will arrange boys too and they will come for you and beat you to coma or even death and the circle of violence would continue until you finish yourselves off.

In summary, your reaction would not solve the problem, rather it would complicate it.

It takes wisdom to deal with issues such as this as any rash decision might worsen the situation.

This case is a case of violence which is against the law. It should be treated as such. However, the police are always careful with attending to cases like this.

As in. Most the cars we drive with pride here in Nigeria are seen as low class or cheap article over there. Nigeria is far behind. Anyone that uses the presence of poor people and the homeless in America to insinuat that things are hard everywhere and that America isn't much better of needs a resounding slap.

In America, a homeless man CAN start from scratch and work his way up but what are the chances for a homeless begger in Nigeria? Even graduates are miserable.
What cars do we drive here that looks cheap in America?

And who told you a homeless man in Nigeria cannot start from the scratch and work his way up in Nigeria as well?

You people need to know that America is not heaven. The average Nigerian drives a more expensive car than the average American. Africans are generally more extravagant than Americans.

So are you trying to justify the poverty the level in Nigeria? Are you saying Nigerians enjoy more than majority of the Americans, are you trying to say the useless government in Nigeria are right by owing workers salary for months? Are you saying people enjoy basic amenities in this rotten country? ARE YOU SAYING POOR NIGERIANS HAS HOPE OF BETTER TOMORROW? Have you eaten today? if yes, what? Are you satisfied? Can you say you haven't lamented on how things are difficult in this soak away called Nigeria? Have you travelled to other countries? If NO, then you have to. And if YES, you should ignore that trash and propaganda on Wikipedia.

I RISE........CO...URT!
I am not justifying poverty.

I am just correcting the impression you have that there is no poverty elsewhere.

Anyone who read your post would think all Americans could afford all the basic things of life. But that is not the truth. There is absolute poverty in America too. There are people who live from hand to mouth. There are people who don't have a roof over their heads and there are people who rob to get food.

Beggars in the UK and US has hope. ALL Americans can afford food.

Their case is like that of a child who has #100 but to that child, its small and term it poverty. While there are other children who will see #10 and jubilate and call themselves bigboys.

Almost all Americans can afford iPhone, but in Nigeria, only our celebs and those involve in frauds can afford it.

How many legit citizens can afford Benz in Nigeria? In America, its a normal car to them.

How many youths can afford a laptop and confidently go out to do legit business with it in Nigeria? But in the US and UK, young lads go to parks and public places with free internet access to connect to do business.

See let's stop deceiving ourselves. Nigeria is in a mess, people are suffering. Some people have no hope of today's meal.
Many sociologists and government officials have argued that poverty in the United States is understated, meaning that there are more households living in actual poverty than there are households below the poverty threshold. [89] A recent NPR report states that as many as 30% of Americans have trouble making ends meet and other advocates have made supporting claims that the rate of actual poverty in the US is far higher than that calculated by using the poverty threshold. [89] A study taken in 2012 estimated that roughly 38% of Americans live "paycheck to paycheck."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty_in_the_United_States

Do you know the meaning of actual poverty? It means absolute poverty as against relative poverty.

This one is just typing trash. Comparing the UK and US with Nigeria is a slap of the faces of Trump and Queen Elizabeth. People can live a normal life, afford basic amenities, afford housing, food and at least a car in those countries without any degree.

But in Nigeria, with a degree, and without any degree, poverty is the leader of the citizens. People don't struggle much to afford ordinary food in UK and US. But in this useless country, to afford morning food is hell.

Nigeria is a disaster. I curse Nigeria everyday.
If you pray for the country, it won't work.

Why?

Because it is a country governed by devils.
There are poor people in the UK and the US as well. The poverty rate differs from scholar to scholar, but there are Americans who cannot afford food.

Let me ask you this question.....As a fresh graduate in medicine and engineering, wat am I suppose to do?.......I need your answer
You should rather ask yourself that question.

In developed countries, there is something called critical thinking. It is a skill every employer expects a graduate to have.

For instance, some years back, unemployment rate was rising in America. Researchers interviewed managers and job owners. The answers were constant: Many American graduates are becoming unemployable because they lack critical thinking skills

As a fresh graduate in medicine and engineering, you should be able to answer such questions if they are thrown at you.

Coming from an illiterate, I'm not taking this serious

What does he know about being a graduate?

Nonsense and presidency
How much formal education did Abraham Lincoln get?

You people should counter points with objectivity rather than attacking persons.

The president is right on this one. And he is even addressing people like you who think being a graduate is the only thing that qualifies one to address degree issues.

Perhaps you don't know that there are artisans without degrees who give lectures even in Harvard.

That is why there is a difference between developed countries and developing countries like Nigeria. The way we view degrees in Nigeria has made many people go every length (cheating and bribing or sleeping with lecturers) to get a degree that they don't merit.

The day many Nigerians take the president's word concerning the essence of a degree, then our country would improve.

Totally disagree Sir. What will now guarantee a future. A President coming from a region that is less educated and having millions of out of school children should not have uttered this.

The president is wrong on this. There are different levels of education, not necessarily university. My cousin is a welder in Canada and highly educated in that field.
What will now guarantee a bright future?.I hope he is not referring to Yahoo.
You are the one who is wrong. Read the whole paragraph containing that statement.

Our idea of a university degree in Nigeria is warped hence the abundance of unemployable graduates.

The president is very right on this one. I didn't expect anyone to even see faults in the statement.

It is kind of ridiculous to be clamoring for electric cars, moving away from fossil fuels in an oil producing nation. Remember it's our one and only primary source of revenue. Simply put, it's bad for business. Don't you agree? Who are you going to be selling it to even when you don't think it's good enough.

PoliticsRe: Ben Bruce Laments About The Rejection Of His Bill For Electric Cars In Nigeria by BluntBoy(m): 6:52pm On May 10, 2019
LuciferAkbar:
Electric cars would reduce demand for fossil fuels like petrol and diesel thereby driving the price down. If the dependency on fossil fuels drop, the price will drop too.

It will also increase the need for more electricity and will force the government to either step up PHCN services or allow private firms come into the power industry.
If private firms take over the power sector, the competition will lead to improved power supply & reduced electricity tariffs (just like how MTN & Glo knocked out the likes of Nitel, Econet etc).

Improved electricity supply leads to business boom as we all know that SMEs have always cited inadequate electricity supply as a major problem hindering growth since it takes a huge chunk of their capital.

Higher output by SMEs leads to an overall boost for the economy as SMEs account for about 48% of Nigeria's GDP.
It also leads to the creation of more jobs, better income distribution, reduced air pollution, etc. I could go on & on...

It is a win-win for everybody involved.

What the hell are you on about?
The world is moving away from fossil fuels but you zombies think we should move towards it.
Must you zombies blindly support anything that you are asked to support without critically looking at it?

*spits angry
Many of our gadgets today are powered by electricity from our phones to our laptops. How come electricity has not improved?

We don't even need to be talking about electric cars now when we have not been able to manage our electricity crisis for decades.

And the funniest (most stupid) thing about Ben Bruce's argument is the mention of Norway?

So, because a relatively advanced nation like Norway is contemplating electric cars, we too should be talking about it? This is a case of a rat going swimming with a lizard. The lizard would definitely not catch a cold, but the rat would because of the hair on its body.

There is no wisdom in pushing the worthless bill.

However, there is also something wrong with the reason for rejecting the bill. The bill should not have been rejected on the excuse that we are an oil producing state. Rather it should have been rejected on the basis that it is not anywhere near our most pressing issues.

First of all, I never do what I can't or have never tried.

I can't swim, and so I tell people I can't when it comes to taking a dive. Laugh all you want, that is your cup of tea.

Two, I can't fight. Yes, I am big and close to 6'5. But when fight starts, I run.

I remembered my undergraduate days when I was staying in a face-you-and-face apartment. We had only one well. One morning, a pail fell into the well and some of the students were trying to urge me to enter since I was physically big. I told them pointblank that I had never entered a well in my life and will not start it that morning. They laughed and called me big for nothing. Well, that was their headache. Just before I graduated, someone died in that well all in the name of trying to retrieve a pail.

My point is, never let anyone push you to do what you have never tried or can't do.

As for the evil friends, let them suffer for their crimes.

why are you no longer a pastor?
My eyes opened and I saw a deeper meaning about Christ.

To have a better understanding and a grasp of true relationship with Christ, you need to step out of dogmas and seek Christ in your own way using the Bible through the Help of the Holy Ghost as a guideline.

It has been 5 years since I left the pastoral ministry under a popular church brand, and since then, I have grown even deeper in Christ.

If kissing is not cheating you won't be scared to tell your wife, you will convince her it's not cheating that it is just locking lips and exchanging of saliva, you did not resist 100%.
It is not only things like this that people are scared to tell their wives about.

Let me tell you a full story. Like I wrote earlier, while I was still a pastor, a married woman kissed me suddenly on my lips. I told my fiancée (at that time) and she made a mess of it. Till we broke up, she used the word "cheat" on me every time we had a quarrel.

To reveal things like this, you have to understand your spouse. Some people can be understanding while some can be extreme and overreact. Like a wife whose story I heard. Who slapped a woman because she found the woman sitting in the front seat with her husband. The woman turned out to be her husband's big aunty. grin

OP knows his wife better than we do. If he thinks the incident would break his home, then there is nothing bad in keeping it away from his wife.
RomanceRe: My Experience With A Married Woman. by BluntBoy(m): 11:16am On May 09, 2019
Biglittlelois:
My answer to your question is yes he cheated cos he kissed someone else

I'm glad you know the stupid kiss can destroy your marriage because that in itself is hurtful cos it is cheating.
Anything can destroy a marriage. It is not only cheating alone.

I wouldn't judge his own part of the deal. However, I would chide him for not fleeing from the temptation earlier. He had enough time to flee, but yet he allowed himself to fall into the woman's trap. If it were me, I would have devised a break right from inside the bus. When she wanted to know about where he was staying and all that, he should have fled from the temptation by politely refusing to reveal anything.
RomanceRe: My Experience With A Married Woman. by BluntBoy(m): 11:04am On May 09, 2019
I remembered when I was a pastor. A married woman kissed me suddenly. And even though I wouldn't say I flowed with it, I was initially too shocked to even get away. Anyway, I gave her a good slap. She would remember that slap for the rest of her life.

I don't hate women. In fact, I love women. But I hate indiscipline. I regard cheating as indiscipline.
