This claim can be true especially for business people and those who have big project. I was once involved in a project which ran for almost two years. Of course there were loans, overdrafts, invoice discounting etc. At the end of the project, we got a forensic accountant to check our relationship with bank. Several millions of naira was overcharged by the bank. We wrote to inform them of the situation and asked to credit our account accordingly inorder to acertain our true indebtedness. They did not respond since payment was domiciled to them. They were expecting to just take as much as they deem fit and give us the balance. We wrote another ltr to them and copied the CBN and also informed them that we have collected our final payment and waiting for them to confirm our actual debt so that we can send them the cheque. On getting this ltr, the ED,GM, and all sorts of very senior managers rushed to our office only to schedule a meeting btw my MD and their MD for the next day. They credited us with that money and collected their cheque as full and final payment. So it does happen

The comments and opinions above absolutely defines humans as very dynamic and very difficult to please. Well I commend the Gov. Peter Obi for daring all odds to walk through the flood to feel the pains of his people. That to me is enough care, and for information the governor has relinquished his official guest house at Onitsha for the use of the flood victims. I think his actions are commendable, as for his intentions, let him and his conscience be the judge.

The poster should read and adhere to your advise. I am aware for facts of some of the Children of some of our very rich people in the society who have all manners of cooks, househelps etc. Where never get to light cookers at home talkless of doing house chores....for where? I know of a guy who got burnt by boiling oil while frying eggs for dinner himself and his wife, that was when the secret was exposed that guy has been fried egg every night, trust wetin family go do nown they almost practically brought the guy anew wife that could cook. This is true and the lady in question was a former colleague and she use to buy nigerian food from the office to take home as dinner...serious. She could not even eat naija food herself except snacks and chinese food. But she learnt the hard way, she became miserable sha cos guy started playing away(am not in support) but thank God they were blessed with two kids. I hope and pray that they are still together since I lost touch with them. Girls should learn basic things when getting married inspite of the comfort that their homes provide them.

We must give kudos to the President for his humility in reversing some of his government's policies as a result of complains and advise from well meaning people of this country. If a man like SLS were to be the president, it is better imagined what a disaster it would have been. We thank God for our President.

I don't personally see the big deal in the payments and especially about referring to the payments as huge. For instance, work out the payment of Asare's $9m for his 4000 men per annum. It comes to something like N360k per person per annum. In my opinion that is not too much price to pay for the peace and security we have in the Niger delta and indeed in the country which has translated to very high production level in our crude. Perhaps the Wall's street jounal would have preferred to see such contract for the protection of oil pipelines being awarded to American companies.

It is an open secret that most of our leaders especially in govt. Belong to one cult group or another. Think about the rot in our country, very abnormal and can only be due this people belonging to these evil groups. Even the police is not excluded as they too have their fare share of cult members.
