Are you being serious?

With all due respect I hope not because it means as an 'elder' you are yet to understand a woman's hormonal changes leading up to and during her mentration.

Please tell me you were not serious in you post.

That lady is of the Marine Amazon Kingdom like wonder woman. she has been observed to fly from Edo to Abuja on two occasions. I'm just being my brothers keeper here angry

on a lighter note now...why are all the ladies in here desperately trying their best to justify this lady's weird behavior. she could be a psychopath. she ticks all the boxes.

people can be funny o. if america was so unprofitable as portrayed by members of this forum. then why are people still tracking to the America, going there at all cost and by all means. Every Nigerian American "illegal" immigrant can't be stupid at the same time.
irony is that we in Nigeria see and feel the impact of their "menial" jobs almost immediately or within a reasonable time.
Conclusion: naija is bliss when you are a bank manager not necessarily because of the take home pay but because of the illegal deals you are expose to. however, an average Nigerian is on a cycle of suffering. they will rather "suffer" a similar cycle in america where every thing works and if you are prudent in spending, may still better the lives of your family down here.

Politics / Buhari And The Prophets Of Baal By Abimbola Adelakun by bobonkiti101(m): 1:51pm On Feb 09, 2017
“They prayed to Baal from morning until noon, shouting ‘Baal, answer us!’ But there was no sound, and no one answered… At noon, Elijah began to make fun of them… The afternoon passed, and the prophetscontinued to act like this until it wastime for the evening sacrifice. But no voice was heard; Baal did not answer…”1 Kings 18:26-29.In the past couple of months, I haveread a number of media interviews, newspaper columns, commentariesand social media updates by former ardent supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari. They all have a few things in common: They deeply regret their support for his candidature in 2015;are sorry they convinced others to vote for him, and have repented of their lack of perspicacity. These folks all remind me of my Sunday school days where we learnt the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. According to the Bible account, Elijah had summoned the prophets of Baal to Mount Carmel to test which God was the true one – Jehovah or Baal. The contest would be decided by which God answered by fire. As it turned out, Baal was mute when hisprophets called on him. Jehovah God, however, showed up and was declared the true God.According to my Sunday School teacher, the prophets deserved their death because they were falseprophets who promoted a fake God.Years later, it occurred to me that anybody who could have agreed to the kind of contest Elijah threw could not have been merely “false.” You had to be a believer who took the God you served seriously to stake your life that way. The crime of Baal’s prophets was putting theirfaith in a God who was a moral coward, one that could not justify his prophets’ level of faith in him when it mattered most. These days, when I think of the state of the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari, and his regretful followers, my mind goes back to Baal and my Sunday schoollesson. Buhari, to me, seems to have become a typology of Baal, the god in which prophets – professors, columnists, intellectuals, pastors, political advocates, poets, civil society activists, thinkers, man on the street, and millions of voters who wanted a change– put their trust. People put themselves out for Buhari; some folks invested the credibility they had spent years garnering to vouch for Buhari. Like Baal, as feelers from across the country these days indicate, Buhari has let them down spectacularly. He has been unresponsive at the time and place when it mattered most.I have met some of the people who worked assiduously on Buhari’s campaign. Every single one of themI have spoken to told me they campaigned for him out of a sense of patriotism. They thought if Nigeria could get a chance under a different leadership, maybe, we might finally be set on the right course. They were not unmindful ofthe fact that Buhari was no policy wonk. It was obvious to them that he was as rusty as nails and he lacked the necessary curiosity to stabilise a flailing government in the 21st century. They thought that if Buhari assembled the right team, he could cure Nigeria of its malady. To me, that was not a lot to expect. My friend went from door to door inLagos, distributing flyers and preaching the gospel of Buhari to voters, telling them “change has come.” Today, he bites his fingers out of both hunger and regret. Another one of Buhari’s supporters I know took time off his job in the United States and returned to Nigeria to work on Buhari’s campaign. He told me he was happy to contribute his own share because he genuinely believed in Buhari. At the time, they said Buhariwas broke. This man thought that for a former Nigerian president not to have a secret stash, he must be incorruptible indeed. Yes, he too had his doubts about Buhari but when he met the man one on one inAbuja, the passion with which Buhari talked about rescuing Nigeria for future generations won him over. He thought it was well worth the stake considering that Nigeria was running adrift under Dr.Goodluck Jonathan. Today, he is one of the many Nigerians regretting what has suddenly become in our very eyes the Buhari misadventure. What was sold to Nigeria as Buhari’s “Spartan” lifestyle turned out to be a myth; Buhari’s “talakawa” mien has proved to be less of an ideological conviction. If he was ever “Spartan,” it was simply because he did not have enough clout to access the feeding trough where the ruling class regularly dip their snouts. His 2015 route to the Presidency consisted inbefriending the same set of people he was going to flush out of Nigeria. As President, his government has been more about propaganda, hypocrisy, indecisiveness, and overall failure to institute meaningful policies that can stabilise Nigeria. Buhari has abandoned his party manifesto andits promises to restructure Nigeria and enthrone state police among other populist issues. Instead, he has majored on spectacular socialist promises, most of which have been shoddily executed. In fairness to Buhari, he was handed a depraved system by his predecessor. However, Nigeria’s present state is wholly his failure, and he should take responsibility for it. He frittered away the energy and goodwill that he had accrued by May 29, 2015 when his administration would not stop moaning about how Nigeria had been sucked dry. At some point, Nigerians realised that pillorying Jonathan was the Buhari administration’s desperate attempt to hide their incompetence. Then, came Buhari’s nepotistic appointments; his justification for disregarding the rule of law; the budget padding fiasco and the shoddy way it was concluded; the Bukola Saraki saga and how all the hyperventilating turned to nothing; Buhari’s lifeless responses to the massacres of the Agatu in Benue State, the pro-Biafran protesters, and the Shiites. Nigerians thought they were getting a “strong man” character but this has actually beenheartlessness. As things stand rightnow, Nigeria has been taken back a couple of decades. Someday, we will recover from this “present darkness” although I doubt if we will make a full recovery.Whereas, if there is anybody in this world who should understand the Nigerian economy; who should have answers to what ails the Nigerian economy at his fingertips; the person who should have jumped right to work the very moment he was elected, it should have been Buhari. The man spent 12 years trying to be President; he contested four times until he won. What did he think the job entailed? Buhari’s supporters and jingoists who spent the first one year of his administration inventing myths of his “body language” healing the sick soul of the nation have all suddenly and painfully gone quiet. They must have realised that Buharican be likened to the Baal that will let you exhaust yourself on his behalf and still would not show up to rescue you! The prophets of Baal, by this time, have realised thatthey can spend all day to call upon this god to prove himself but nothing is going to change. This is agod to never follow, he subjects even his own prophets to ridicule. Most people have documented Buhari’s failures as President so farbut here is one more: the crime of Baal. Buhari let people stake their lives and credibility for him to be President but he never mustered the will to work hard enough to save their faces. If there is one thing I appreciate about traditional African religion, it is the notion that a God must earn his keep. Any God that abandons his prophets at a critical moment gets destroyed by both the priests and the community. Each time I come across a fervent Buhari supporter expressing regret they voted for him and also encouraged others to do the same, I see another one of Baal’s prophets asking him/herself, what is the worth of a god that abandons his own prophets?

Politics / Buhari Nominates Akintunde Ibitayo Akinwande For NERC Chair, Drops Shasore by bobonkiti101(m): 9:30am On Jul 25, 2016
EXCLUSIVE: Buhari Drops Fashola’s Candidate For NERC Chair, Picks MIT Professor

President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Akintunde Ibitayo Akinwande, a professor in the electrical engineering and computer science department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as the executive chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

Akinwande (pictured) will succeed Sam Amadi whose tenure ended in 2015.

Babatunde Fashola, minister of works, power and housing, had preferred Olasupo Shasore, who was once attorney-general under him as governor of Lagos.

Shasore was one of the aspirants reportedly supported by Fashola for the APC governorship ticket in the state in 2015.

He and Femi Amzat, Fashola’s commissioner for works, were defeated by Akinwunmi Ambode, the preferred candidate of Bola Tinubu, a national leader of APC.

Ambode went ahead to win the election, but the relationship between Tinubu and Fashola has not improved since then.

LAGOS AXIS

A presidency insider told TheCable that Shasore, a senior advocate of Nigeria, could not be picked because “the president does not want anything that will stoke tension in the Lagos axis again”.

It was widely reported last year that Tinubu did not support the appointment of Fashola as minister because of their strained relationship.

Bello Suleiman, an engineer and former minister of mines, power and steel development, was also suggested for the NERC slot but Buhari was not well disposed to him, TheCable understands.

Suleiman was minister in the Abdulsalami Abukakar military administration and became the MD of the National Electrical Power Authority (NEPA) – the predecessor of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) – under President Olusegun Obasanjo.

DIASPORA DELIGHT

Presidency insiders told TheCable that Buhari personally sought out the NERC nominees as he is doing in critical areas of his administration.

“The president’s expectation is that with more professionals in his team, including those from the Diaspora, he will be able to deliver the goods in these critical areas,” a senior official said.

NERC, which regulates the power sector, is key to the resolution of the electricity crisis as the government has already privatised distribution and generation entities.

Only transmission is still under the control of the federal government and it is currently being managed by Manitoba of Canada on contractual basis.

Buhari sent the names of the nominees to the senate for confirmation before they embarked on their long recess on Thursday.

THE NEW COMMISSIONERS

Akintunde Ibitayo Akinwande: He is a professor in the electrical engineering and computer science department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He received a B.Sc. (1978) in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Ife, Nigeria, a MS (1981) and Ph.D. (1986) in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, California, according to his academic profile.

He joined Honeywell Inc. in 1986 where he initially conducted research on GaAs Complementary FET technology for very high speed and low power signal processing. He later joined the Si Microstructures group where he conducted research on pressure sensors, accelerometers, thin-film field emission and display devices.

Akinwande joined MIT’s Microsystems Technology Laboratories (MTL) in January 1995 where his research focuses on micro-fabrication and electronic devices with particular emphasis on smart sensors and actuators, intelligent displays, large area electronics (macro-electronics), field emission & field ionization devices, mass spectrometry and electric propulsion.

He is a recipient of the 1996 National Science Foundation (NSF) Career Award. He has served a number of technical program committees for various conferences, including the Device Research Conference, the International Electron Devices Meeting, the International Solid-State Circuits Conference, the International Display Research Conference and the International Vacuum Microelectronics Conference.

Akinwande holds numerous patents in MEMS, Electronics on Flexible Substrates, Display technologies and has authored more than 100 journal publications. He was a visiting professor at the Cambridge University engineering department and an Overseas Fellow of Churchill College in 2002-2003. He is a current member of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council.

Politics / Re: Jonathan, PDP Can’t Claim Credit For Defeating Ebola — Governor Fashola by bobonkiti101(m): 9:03am On Oct 02, 2014
I believe fashola made a great point but his views/reasoning is somewhat erroneous in this regard.
1.Ebola broke out in two states of the federation.
2.The outbreak was effectively contained by the collective efforts of the affected states and federal government whom are part of an entity called Nigeria.
3.GEJ as the president represents nigerians home and abroad.
4.GEJ in his speech declared that WE conquered ebola with the collective effort of nigerians. and gave credit to the lagos government even while stressing that it was an apc state to show oneness and unity in the country in times of crisis.
Then what is the point of fashola's rage. Frankly, if fashola was arguing that enough wasn't done to credit or reward those that actually did their JOB that they get paid for by treating ebola patients..my emotions will definitely appeal to his views, and i will understand. But from his speech, its obvious that he is just trying to score cheap political point in this critical election period. GEJ is the president of nigeria and not president for lagos state that is why GEJ takes the blame for kidnap, boko haram, corruption , bad road, poor. Electricity , bad hospitals .etc that happens in every state of the country.
In conclusion, fashola should hold his peace...nothing stops him from going an extra mile by awarding these brave people state awards or something instead of stirring political conflicts and divides amongst the poor masses who don't even know that they are being used as pawns.#my opinion

Dear Op..i can't really claim to understand what you are going through right now...bt i can assure that I have a clue.
You went into this marriage without the best of reasons per se. But nw is not the time to apportion blame.
Logically, you can't build something upon a shaky foundation and expect it to last a life time; but this is real life, many people dare to take the risk( of marrying for various reasons besides love, true happiness and fulfilment),some still make it work despite the odds..some don't .
here is my advise to you, nothing lasts forever, love dies too(oyes, even the true ones). EVERY marriage/relationship has its problems no matter how perfect. This is a though challenge right now for you,and I won't advise you to file for divorce (for its has its own rigours too), you need some time apart to sort yourself out, think your life through, and decide what's best for you and your kids...but in whatever you do. just know divorce is not a solution but an option. nice day
Romance / Re: Trapped In A Loveless Marriage by bobonkiti101(m): 7:20am On Jan 07, 2014
Dear Op...from your story,I think your problem is more psychological than physical..you never really forgave him, neither did you forget his earlier betrayal..and somehow,I believe it took its toll on you..you don't trust him anymore, you don't love him anymore, you don't bond with him through sex anymore,no couple alone chatting time as well.
No marriage can survive without trust, care and love at least. I believe your situation has a solution. Work things out with him, see a therapist or a marriage councillor instead.
Or are there things he does you can't cope with?..does he cheat on you? Does he nag a lot? Does he maltreat you? Does he disrespect you? Does he shy away from his responsibilities?...cos at the end, you might even be your own problem.

" If any Law enacted by the House of Assembly
of a State is inconsistent with any law validly
made by the National Assembly, the law made by
the National Assembly shall prevail, and that
other Law shall, to the extent of the
inconsistency, be void."

The above is the position of the constitution(sec 5(5)) on inconsistencies between the federal and state laws regarding the guidance and governance of this nation.
Only Time will tell how long the exemption of states (championed by fashola) from FOI act provisions will last.

Business / Re: Can A Customer Sue Bank For Undeposited Money Lost During Bank Robbery? by bobonkiti101(m): 3:26am On Jan 02, 2014
BY Silver: @LEGIT..As a follow up from my earlier post where I stated explicit with relevant authorities that the Bank will not be liable..I will like to address the issue of NEGLIGENCE of which you have raised.
Negligence in itself is not a one way street as it is one of the most complex principles in the law of Tort..just as u may know that d tort of negligence is not actionable per se I.e actionable without proof of special damage like the tort of tresspas..for you to establish the tort of negligence u must establish 3things(Duty of care, breach, damages) and should you fail in one then your case is invalid.
Equally note that not every act of carelessness or negligence is actionable as LORD WRIGHT explained in the case of LOCHGELLY IRON V McMullan, he posited that "in strict legal analysis, negligence means more than heedless or careless conduct whether in omission or commission. it properly connotes the complex concept of duty, breach and damages thereby suffered by the person to whom the duty is owing"
thus in dis case u may be able to establish that there is a Duty of Care owned by the bank to the customer, but in actual fact the Duty is that of safe keeping of the customer's money of which falls under their possession, until then there is no duty of care.
The next element to prove if you successfully prove that there was a duty of care owed is that there was a BREACH of that DUTY, and this is the part that occupies the most time of the court as it looks at several elements including the REASONABLE MAN's TEST..other elements include the likelihood of harm and measures to avoid the harm..I will not bore u with lengthy notes because it is a long issue.
But in Brief conclusion the Bank's lawyer just need to state to the court that the likelihood of harm (the coming of robbers) into the bank is not frequent and even if it is frequent the provision of security guards will suffice and will exclude the bank from any attack therefrom as it could be seen that measures were taken to forestall the act you can see the Case of BOLTON V STONE..remember the Law does not require the doing of the impossible, so once necessary precaution is taken you are freed from liability that is why we have a Defence called AN ACT OF GOD under the tort of NUISANCE..
Finally since the tort of Negligence is not actionable per se you can't even go ahead to prove damages when you have failed in the other two elements. cases where you can easily hold the bank on negligence include, unauthorized publication of your account, injury with the bank equipments negligently displayed, drinking of contaminated water frm d banks water dispenser, injury from slippery floor etc..

Brilliant.

1stly, u aint married to dis gal neither are u engaged to her. Who knows, you cld see another fine gal and carpet cross,so allow dis young woman to have what her mates are having if u can't buy it 4 her.
2ndly, if a gal gives u an iphone,I'm sure u wouldn't rescind the gift to be realistic.
3rdly, if u can reason well enough, u ll realise that you have nothing to lose. that iphone is not taking anything away from your body.u are just too emotional to realise it now.
4thly,enjoy your gf nw dat you hv the chance, its not like you even have plans to marry her.

This is for all the guys who pick up random
girls on the streets without knowing anything
about them. Here’s how to know if you are
sharing your bed with a mammy water:
1. You picked her up from the street or
some other random place. Maybe she
was even standing in front of an
uncompleted building
2. You don’t know her surname. She told
you her name is “ Just Julie”
3. She agreed to sleep with you on the
very first day, in fact she moved into
your house, no questions asked.
4. She never gets tired. She can pound
yam, fry garri, grind pepper with a
stone and still have s*x with you when
she finishes.
5. She always looks perfect, even first
thing in the morning. No pimples, her
make-up looks permanent and
everything is always in the right place.
6. Her Brazilian hair looks natural. It really
looks like her hair but maybe salons
have found a way to remove natural
hair and put it back later.
7. She never talks about her family and
she doesn’t have any friends. You only
hear her saying “My sea sisters”
sometimes at night but you’re not
bothered because girls call themselves
all sorts of things.
8. Ever since you started sleeping with
her, your life has turned upside down
but of course your stepmother in the
village is to blame.
9. She has stopped you from eating fish.
Ever since she came into your life, it’s
only chicken or meat, nothing that
comes from the sea.
10. She doesn’t ask you for anything. In
fact, she’s every Nigerian boyfriend’s
dream. You don’t pay for human hair
or BIS and she doesn’t even want
Blackberry Z10. She doesn’t care
about Valentine’s Day and you don’t
even know her birthday sef. She never
gets jealous or goes through your
phone and she couldn’t care less
about your Facebook password. In fact
she’s the best!
If the girl you’re with falls into all these
categories, you better wake up my guy, NA
FISH SHE BE!!!

It was gathered from a reliable source in kiri kiri prison that the distinguished president of ASUU,in a brief meeting with the EXCO members of the union reached a decision to end the misery piled upon nigerian students by calling off the strike action for 30mins.
Even though the strike has been called off, it should be welcomed as a brief relief as ASUU is prepared to strike again after 30mins if the FED GOVT continue to dance skelewu with the union.

excelkoms: are u a Nigerian? Are u aware of d new electoral act? Or can u recall d Amaechi vs Omehia case? In an election, a party is voted for n nt individuals.

Chief...come on,you don't need a prophet to see how erroneous and ridiculous that judgement is. this rule is not even absolute, its still subject to change/overrule (ofcourse with a better argument as that is how courts arrive @ their decisions).
when you compare similar rulings of the Federal High Court, particularly the judgment of a Federal High Court in Gusau which upheld the defection of then Governor Aliyu Shinkaffi of Zamfara State, who defected from the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a platform he rode to Government House in 2008.
Also, at Imo State where then governor, Ikedi Ohakim, who contested and won election on the platform of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), later defected to the PDP and still maintained his position.
Of course, it could be argued that if it was the parties that contested the elections, they should have been made to vacate the seat since it was the ANPP and PPA that won the elections and not PDP. And this should have been the case in Abia, Bauchi and other states where some governor defected from their original parties after winning elections in their respective states.
