nonsense.!!! can u hear urself..."how people use their money is not ur Fu..cking business"

can Pastor Chris use other innovative ideas to obtain such money without using God's word...because people will be gullible when it has to do with God.. we know all these antics by people who call themselves men of God

You have a very faulty mindset that's why you think someone is trying to collect money from people.

If people decide to pay to attend a service willingly and they weren't forced , it's honestly not your problem.

You are okay not to agree with them but criticizing them means you overstepped your boundary.

Since you are an antic detector, clap for your self. Well done. undecided
Romance / Re: Why do many ladies prefer a salary earner to a budding entrepreneur? by Boeing777pilot: 4:37pm On Jan 01, 2016
Toks2008:
If you ask any lady to choose between a salary earner or an entrepreneur i guess many will gladly go for the latter.

Yes most ladies will gladly settle for an established and successful entrepreneur but will prefer a man that earns a salary to a BUDDING entrepreneur aiming to make success of his career?

How amazing is the fact that many ladies would rather prefer a butterfly to a caterpillar.

It is amazing how an average Nigerian lady will go all out to kill the zeal of a young and promising entrepreneur simply because of the fear of the unseen, she will advice him to take up a job just because she is more interested in having the assurance that there is a regular in-flow of cash either for her selfish gains or for the sake of the children.

Ok I guess you will be saying in your mind ”this guy don come again” so do me this favor and lets do this real life testing..

If you are a guy who is still searching for job simply call your lady on the phone and tell her “honey wow! guess what? I have gotten a business idea I want to start” and please observe her response.

Wait for another week and call her again but this time say “Honey you won’t believe I got a job” and also observe her response.

And for those who are already working, simply call your lady and tell her “honey I have decided to quit my job to start my personal business” ..i am almost certain you are in for a long sermon on why you should not.

Some ladies are even kind enough to ask you to get a job first then probably raise the money for the business as though they are so certain that all the money you earn monthly from the hopeful job will be saved for your intending business and unfortunately by the time you start a job
you intend spending just few years, you will wake up after 20years to discover you are still stuck up in same job because the employers we have are pretty smart enough not to allow you space for yourself and you will even have to lie in order to attend an interview for another job offer.

Please don’t get it twisted…as a man, there is absolutely nothing wrong in taking up a job if that is what rocks your boat but I am simply laying emphases on some Nigerian ladies who lack vision, those who are mediocre and those who just believe that getting by is more important in life than attaining a potential maximum IN YOUR CHOSEN CAREER.

Our ladies must understand that just as we have men who are ok with a paid jobs and depend on the employer to gain promotion and more take home pay,we also have men who are visionary, men who would rather want to be an employer of labor rather than be an employee, men who will stop at nothing to achieve their dreams and men who will later become the Dangotes and bill gates of today and eventually become a owner of a company many see today as well established and many ladies will even pray and fast for their men to be employed there.

This is my point ladies…the choice remains yours but please do not stress our men who are visionary, determined and result oriented. Allow them pursue their dreams.Get a life for yourself, get financially independent and allow this man space to actualize his dreams.

My candid view.

I'm very sure a lady turned you down because you are budding entrepreneur. grin

Let's be realistic for once please and use our God given intelligence pleeeese!

How much did Jesus charge as crowd control fee when he feed the 5000 and when he died on the cross for the whole world of sinners? I tot christ was supposed to be our model in Christianity!!! I started one in 2001 where many Nigerian youths were empowered in their hundreds and if you have any body who went to uniben around 2001 in engineering and medicine department you can make your confirmation and my comapny remains diamond field international.

At this point in time i was a member of the Haven and we give hundreds of thousands to GOD just for the purpose of some christembassy programes.

The Haven PCF is made up of professionals whose goal is to give to the ministry and just around November 11th in 2001 the unexpected happened..i had a terrible accident which affected mt mobility and the once vibrant young man became terribly incapacitated.

These haven member came to my place and they prayed together with me and that was it..no enquiry to my welfare or how i would manage with my life and i was left on my own for months.i spent all i had trying to get myself back to my feet and these people practically forgot i ever existed.

For confirmatory purpose im talking about the branch around alakija bus-top aong lagos badagry express way headeed then by pator tony ikoku and they know me as bro koreede so i am not making things up.

But to GOD be the glory i got back on my feet and went back to church and still remained in same haven but i got so disappointed when the haven president then announced that the members are obliged to contribute money to buy a car for the pastor who wants to celebrate his birthday and i was like WAT?

Not about the birthday gift but i was like i was totaly forgotten by thee same people and i have hardly come back to church with my bank account in red and these people are asking for this and trust me,when such task comes up and you are not able to make some contributions they will start looking at you one way....so i just turned a deaf hear and mind less whatever they may say or think.

This ws just part one of my ordeal and it was the part two that saw me making up my mind to leave Christ embassy for good.

I am not writing this to tarnish the image of any church but it is a clarion call for them to wake up to their responsibilities that they are not juyst meant to collect ofering and tithes but to really give people's life a meaning not by psyching them up but by empowering them.

GOD help me cos i still believe i will be in aposition to empower the youths once again.

Sorry about your ordeal I'm sure it was painful.

It's obvious you were really pained.

My point is this, if you experienced something like this did you talk to the leadership about it to set up a structure to ensure some one else doesn't experience the same?

No one can help God. But feeding on the gullibility of the masses on the ground of preaching is against God's will. Church is meant to be the place of last resort for solitary for anyone including the rich and poor.

Has any poor person come to meet you that he couldn't afford the fee?

I have no issues if you have reservations about the fee but calling people gullible is highly uncalled. If I see the need to pay such an amount, I will especially if I do it willing. To say some one is gullible, is patronizing especially when it's not your money.

Apparently you know nothing about volume printing because the more copies printed each month evens out any possible increase in the cost of preaching.

And please understand that I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT just that he should be more open with the fact and the fact that it was actually being paid for by the members especially the october 1st edition.

Asides that please help me pass this message to pastor chris that indeed he is a good teacher but that moment when a pastor preaches to the members without actively involved in empowering them then it becomes empty psyching which is not good enough for the youths of today.

The day i will write my ordeal with christ embassy you will understand why i will never step into that church to worship again.Bynch of money freaks who only think of what they can get from members but never ever caring about how they can empower the lives of the youths and the needy. Business center in the name of church

No I don't, if it's free, then some one somewhere paid for it.

As for empowering, I think there are empowerment schemes but if it doesn't exist, why didn't you start one?

Does that change the fact that Oyakhilome is a money freak?

Why are other pastors not collecting money for 31st night worship?

Bishop oyedepo and Pator adeboye could as well follow suit. I joined christ embassy when i was in Lasu way back in 1996 and i became a haven member in 2000 so when i write some stufs i know what i am implying.

Look at the rhapsody you guys distribute every 1st of october in Nigeria and other countries, pastor chris owns the printing press and he makes people believe the rhapsody is free but nah..it is paid for by the members while he makes his regular profit after printing.

Now i do not have any problem with that except the fact that he makes people believe its actually free as in printed and distributed F.O.C

It is even an absurdity to hear that a church collects money before people who may have teh chance to get born again to pay their way into salvation..please let me just stop here.

Your argument lacks a sound foundation.
About Rhapsody, it's 15 years in print and the price has not changed. Tell me the item whose price has not changed in the last 15 years.

If he owns the press and so effing what?
Doesn't the printing press have running costs?

I understand there are partners who pay for free distribution so others can get it for free, is that a problem?

Pastor Chris is not other pastor. If you don't like what Christ embassy does, the correct thing to do is pray, it's far more effective than criticisms.
