Travel / Boeing 747 With Five Engines by Boeing777pilot: 4:40pm On Jan 10, 2016
If you are an aviation enthusiast or regular traveller, you would think that the picture below is photoshopped because the Boeing 747 usually has four engines.

How however this particular one has five engines because Qantas airline had to send a spare 747 engine to Johannesburg from Syndey to fix on one of their 747's in Johannesburg.

It's truly an amazing feat.

What is the rating of this university? Is he the first to bag first class in Nigeria? Is that a Herculean task? Will that make him wealthy in life ? Will he perform better than okonjo iweala that went to havard and mismanaged Nigerian economy? Bullshit.

Your story doesn't add up.
Anyway we get the point.

Stay away from your ex.
Avoid se.x with your ex.
If you must do it, let her sign a written consent form stating it was mutually agreed up or record the conversation where she agreed to it willingly.

Most importantly, you are a cheat and lack self control.

1. All International Airline Pilots speak English.

Yes we do but the truth is, in some countries the English of the air traffic controllers is horrible, you can sometimes barely hear what they say, we just pick out the key instructions for take off, approach and landing.

34. Autopilot is usually turned on during most of an airplane flight. The computer can make more precise adjustments, which leads to better fuel efficiency (except during turbulence). Autopilot is not typically used during takeoff or landing, although it is available to use.

Yes but no pilot ever uses auto pilot during take off or landing. Extremely rare.

39. If a plane needs to make an emergency landing, a pilot may decide to dump fuel from its wings. While it’s not very common, it is a safety procedure to keep the plane from experiencing an overweight landing. The fuel usually evaporates before it reaches the ground.

Primary reason is to reduce the risk of fire upon impact on crash landing.

43. Aspiring commerical pilots generally invest more than $70,000 in their education and clock an average of 4,000 hours of experience before they are hired by Air Canada.

* Once their flight simulator training is complete, pilots move directly to piloting fully-loaded passenger airplanes. They are, however, accompagnied by line indoctrination pilots for their first few flights. After a second test by a supervisor pilot, they’re fully cleared to fly on their own.

* Pilots are sent back into the simulator at least every eight months to renew their license; every six months for those who command the Boeing 777.

* Pilots can fly only one type of aircraft at a time. Before acquiring a license to command a different model, they must go through 8 to 12 weeks of training. The process includes “ground school”, pre-simulator mockup flights and simulator training.

* Pilots may spend long periods of time away from home. To keep their loved ones close, they’ll often keep photos of their family or spouses in the inside lining of their hat.

* Pilots aren’t allowed to share food. As a safety
precaution, pilots order and eat different crew meals while on flight.

When an aircraft is about to land and it has descended to a certain level, an automated voice in the cockpit says "Approaching minimums"
And the pilot in command says "continue"

My brother, your destiny is approaching it's minimum and you are proudly saying continue.

I hope you can still salvage your life when it becomes too late.

Then came this innovative prosecution method currently applied by federal government of Nigeria.

The new method of prosecution being applied by the federal government is explained as follows: If you steal yam, meat, egg, rice and the government is aware, they will arrest you for stealing only yam, sue you to court. In a month or two you procure bail for stealing yam. You get arrested and get sued for stealing meat. Maybe in another two months you get a bail, then you get arrested for stealing egg and the process continues. As this goes on, your resources goes down, the people willing to sign surety for you decrease since you may have to use different persons as surety in each case of bail. Also the fact that you are on bail only means you can come to court from your house it does not acquit or discharge you from the case. Thus you will be going to two or more courts at the same time. This will further weaken your resolve to continue to fight because of the huge resources and energy you will need to drag on the case. In doing this the government has fully complied with rule of law. This is what have been applied in the case of Dasuki and other cases. Buhari has not disobeyed any court order. Everything Buhari has done is legal.[/b]

This is one of the best write ups I have seen on this subject.

All those shouting that Buhari is not complying with court orders are doing it out of crass ignorance.

This new method of prosecution is the best.

Since birds have learnt to fly without perching, hunters have learnt to shoot without missing. grin

Please I want to kindly request that a special section be created for aviation related topics. I'm a commercial pilot and I'm yet to find my niche here on nairaland.

It will be great to have an aviation section where pilots and aviation fans can connect.
