Angelfrost:My brother.. !!Can't believe I'm saying this, but I darn well miss Sani Abacha! You have to be mad to be allocated funds to commit into any agency or institution, then have the audacity to embezzle or misappropriate it. You'll be jailed or outrightly shot. And that man had a soft spot for sports and athletics, as well as education. |
IconicR:Lol. Rose, stop being dramatic. A woman who has established and sustained a budding company for over a decade cannot suddenly be too slow to know when she's being pilfered by her staff. That she decides to ignore those nefarious activities and retain the services of the said staffs, shouldn't portray her as being incapable of handling affairs. Your place there was to learn how to be productive and contribute to the furtherance of the company, not to assume the role of a watch-dog simply because the company's your mum's. Even if you felt the need to draw her attention to such happenings, the right thing would have been to do so at home, not confront the staffs or seek to take unilateral actions. And you don't take issues of "mental health" to a working environment. She's more concerned about the continuity of her income source and you're fronting your mental health as an excuse to avoid discipline. This is basically one problem I have with Gen-Z females. The moment they brandish phrases and words like "mental health, literally speaking", they begin to feel like they've made enough sense for the world to pause and listen. You of all people should know better than to reason like this! Deciding not to put in an appearance at your mum's company doesn't change the fact that work is going to continue and you'll be fed and clothed from the proceeds of that company. |
Angelfrost:Funny enough, about 65percent of the first team was dominated by Igbos and never were we ever concerned about the issue of tribe. We all just grew up enjoying the ball played by these players and believing in their collective capacity to achieve greatness. Atlanta '96 is a memory that's evergreen. That gold medal saw Nigerians hitting the streets that evening in wild celebrations. I remember having about 4 bottles of that slim fanta, all provided by neighbours who were all scattered in the open in a party-like frenzy. For an entire week, I and my cousin went to and returned from school with different assorted snacks ranging from cabin biscuits, yoyo sweets, locally made pancakes, etc. |
Freshtruth:He still alive and well? |
IconicR:She was right to have scolded you and dispensed appropriate disciplinary measures in front of the staffs. Her actions sent out two resounding messages: - Your place in her life and home is not going to be a yardstick for her to condone inappropriate behaviour, no matter the circumstances. - If she can discipline her own daughter, no errant staff is going to be overlooked or treated with mild gloves, no matter how efficient or indispensable that staff might feel he/she is. Clearly, all parties got the intended messages. And you'll do yourself a world of good to learn from your mistakes instead of creating a nairaland topic to seek public support and validation for your uncouth mannerism in a work environment. |
Why's that looking like the express that reroutes to television garage in Kaduna? |
I remember participating in this poll here on nairaland. |
How many times will they close this third mainland bridge for maintenance works bayi? |
Thank god Manchester United is not the victim of conspiracy theories this time. |
Fugazy2023:Avoid me, please. |
THeUNIFIER:Well, considering the repulsively disjointed and odious nature of our political system, there's the need to remind you that our perceived abhorrence of the President's self-centered approach to governance and what he opts to prioritise, can neither be altered nor catalysed by whatever opinions we both nurse. |
cosse:I was more shocked than embarrassed, my brother. |
Almost all the responses here so far, are amusing..😂. Except Seunmsg (and I have to admit, you're quite smart for an APC supporter), the rest of the crowd has failed to recognise the reverse psychology embedded in this article. This Okorie of a guy just succeeded in calling out the US government to give closure on Tinubu's controversies, and smartly avoided setting himself up for backlash in the process. |
discusant:You're turning logic on its head. When you call Nyesom Wike and add his portfolio, do you call him an Honourable Minister of the APC or an Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? |
😂😂. When is the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal delivering judgement again? |
OlujobaSamuel:I'm quite impressed with this feedback. I'll probably have to re-evaluate my options in my next breeding circle. |
discusant:But Peter Obi served as a Special Adviser on Finance to Goodluck Jonathan, during his second tenure as Anambra State Governor under APGA. An appointment which lasted for about 4years and terminated when GEJ left office. Where then is the devil's advocacy you're accusing me of? |
CodeTemplar:Please remove this comment from public view! |
Some things just defy logical explanations. How old is this Hannatu? Isn't age 30 supposed to be the constitutional threshold for NYSC service? Why is a serving youths corps member getting a ministerial appointment? This country seriously needs in-depth sanitation. |
So somehow, you nairalanders managed to find a way to twist a harmless and expository thread showcasing one of the wonders of African waters, to a fertile ground for tribal bashing and regional animosity? Omoh, una dey do things for this forum sha! |
Zupay:Again, there's nowhere in that paragraph the security outfit was mentioned. Where's the name? Who's in it? Where is the pilot outfit taking off from? The reportage is just vague with narrations of some meeting that was held, having Fulani elders in attendance. |
THeUNIFIER:- The contextual subject here has nothing to do with merit or lack of it thereof. We're focused on appointments vis-a-vis party affiliations. - There's nowhere in my submissions where I insinuated that Wike's appointment was based on merit. I simply stated that a President can appoint people into his cabinet "as he deems fit". Whether the criteria here is interest, merit, political settlements, tribalism, religion, etc.., all falls within the definition of the President's purview. |
GorillaApp:No offence, what's your stock in trade? |
Quite honestly, even if I'm offered a free visa to the UK, I won't take it. Never liked that place for one bit. I'll rather live in Russia than the UK. |
finallybusy:Oga, rest. Too early to be getting dramatic. Be acting like a girl on menstrual cramps. |
This thread is misleading and inciting. There's nowhere in the entire write-up where the security outfit was mentioned. |
finallybusy:Lmao! Coming from the same emotional young man who once lamented about being a magnet for only broke women. I'll say you fit right in. |
Okay. Moving on... |
Adaisback:😊😊. |
Hallams:I honestly won't be able to respond to this in here. If you can find a way to contact me, I'll be able to give you a more detailed guide as to how to handle CRD in the various broiler growth stages. |
LOVEALAIGBO:That super highway initiative was a conduit for him and his brother to hack down trees in thick and unexplored forests in the State for the timber benefits. He subsequently bulldozed hundreds of such trees, processed and exported the timber, and when indigenes cried out having realised the deceit and damage to environmental resources, over a dozen civil society organisations took him to courts and the project was halted. That's basically how the much touted super highway became another failed government project. |
