NotProphet:There's realistically no difference between both. He's working for Nigeria under the employ or appointment of Tinubu. If he hadn't gotten the ministerial nomination by Tinubu, he wouldn't even be a Minister to be able to render the services of that office to the Nigerian people. So he's working for Tinubu as well as the Nigerian people. |
plaindealer:Smh. |
limitless777:😂😂. I deliberately ignored that part of his write-up. That guy has passion for the poultry lifestyle and it's admirable. But this his thread is rife with so much falsehood and inaccurate data. By his submission, if he bought 4 cartons of Agrited chics at 74K, then each carton cost him 18,500 naira. Even if his home is just outside the Agrited hatchery in Ibadan, it is realistically impossible for him to have gotten their chics at that price. The last time Agrited sold between 17K and 19K was sometime in December 2021. So he either has to tell us what magic he used to buy 4 cartons of day old Agriteds at 74K, or be honest enough to stop deceiving the public with falsified figures. |
GorillaApp:Lol. It's not that hectic. You can keep up, quite easily even. All it takes is one breeding circle and you'll get the hang of it, so long you pay attention and are committed to it. |
costandi:Throwback: - Governor Peter Obi doubled as the honorary Special Adviser on Finance to President Goodluck Jonathan until May, 2015. - Governor Peter Obi was also a member in the Presidential Economic Management team under President Goodluck Jonathan until May, 2015. And he held those positions for years before he decamped to the PDP between September and October of 2014. So, where is the bold-faced lie? |
nairalanda1:In days past, I had engaged you on certain issues of national relevance, one of them being our very flawed subsidy initiative prior to its removal and in the early days that followed the infamous decision to remove it. There is no arguing your commendable intelligence and confidence to exhibit same, but you have nonetheless, proven to be in the moulds of young men who are fixated on their knowledge, are too sublimely arrogant to give room for corrections and most certainly believe your opinions should be "ye and amen"! You remind me of this Garfield fellow here on nairaland. - I cannot agree with you for suggesting that Cameroonians are responsible for their current existential woes as regards awful democratic leadership. - Whatever brings the Nigerian issue into this discourse has to be a cause for concern, as nothing explains why you're mixing two seperate issues in one discourse and failing to sample a connection between both. - Again, the issue isn't about me or the Nigerian people, but Cameroon and her leadership/citizens. It is wrong for you to "assume" Cameroonians have not made practical efforts to get involved in their own politics with attempts to float political parties and be active members of same. What do you even think is the fundamental reason behind the civil war that has existed for years now between the Anglophone and Francophone regions of the country? You think they're struggling lands or killing themselves over women? You insult the sensibilities of a people under subjugation and pain when you make unguarded, uninformed and insensitive comments such as you've done on this thread. |
nairalanda1:With all due respect, this your submission is nonsensical to the very last alphabet. You cannot sit in the comfort of your home and feel you know enough to have a modest opinion on every issue. Just reading through these words goes to show that you're very un-informed about the goings-on in the political landscape of the Cameroonian society. Most Cameroonians do not take the risk of participating in their politics? I sincerely want to believe this was meant to amuse the audience rather than inform. Please be mindful of the kind of opinions you publicly posit on sensitive issues. |
AllenSpencer:Are you insinuating that Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke is an illiterate? |
To this day, it remains a subject of awe, how Dapo Abiodun managed to find legitimacy enough to be the Governor of Ogun State of Nigeria, having been convicted of credit card fraud in the not-too-distant past. Nigeria is a really sad excuse of a democratic country! |
Silentgroper:Lol. Did you say "she/it"? I'm enthused as to your choice of pronouns. |
God will punish Ben Ayade wherever he is and wherever he goes! His generations unborn will know no peace! That stunted clown didn't start and complete one single stretch of road in Cross River State, spent 8years erecting one substandard flyover at Odukpani junction which he didn't even finish, left months of unpaid salaries, pensions and gratuities, only to raise the debt profile of the state by over 120percent while El-rufai of Kaduna spent the same governance period completely transforming Kaduna city into what it is today, yet the state's debt profile isn't even up to half of Cross River's. Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade is not going to die pleasantly in this life or the next! |
Not bad. I currently speak Lokaa, English, Spanish, bit of French and learning the sign language. Looks like I have to learn more, going forward. |
Broveens42:Make Westham no hear you sha! |
donjazzet:Can you ever address issues without calling people names? You're a very disturbed young man. |
Abbeytoy:Brooding lasts between 7 to 10 days. Once the first vaccination is done, chics can be relocated to the permanent pen. |
OgogoroFreak:He did. Which was fine. Until people started to ask questions to know more, and his subsequent responses prompted readers like me and a few others to begin putting in corrective statements. It is supposed to be an interactive thread. And you might argue that poultry farming is done according to the discretion of the farmer, but you cannot negate what has long been standard practices. I know a farmer who doesn't use veterinary medications from week 3. He has his organic combinations of herbs, leaves and certain seeds/fruits that he blends and administers to fight poultry ailments, and it works for him. Doesn't mean he has to put that up in a public conversation forum as a standard farming practice. Personally, I don't even use manufactured medications to combat fowl typhoid or manage newscastle disease. I have tested and proven remedies that I cannot pass off as standard practices. Hope you dig?? |
limitless777:Never patronised Y2farms, so I can't give any recommendations or observations in that regard. |
OgogoroFreak:When you're giving the public a step-by-step approach towards actualizing any initiative, you have to differentiate between standard practices and personal specifications. That's the mistake he's making that has to be corrected. Standard practice does not put brooding at 3 to 4 weeks. That's his personal approach to brooding and he has to specify that to the audience. |
UmehzEmmanuel:Never heard of the New Hope feed before, but I'll research on it and probably use it subsequently, if it's up to standard. |
SaLongs1:That's most likely the case. |
coldzobo:Oga, I don't know how and where you're seeing trouble in my responses. Like others, I'm following your updates and chipping in corrections where necessary, but you seem to have problems with being corrected. There's nowhere poultry brooding is done for 3 to 4 weeks. NOWHERE! Not even in the US. |
coldzobo:You should actually be the one to calm down and read. Someone asked you how long you raise broilers before they're ready for sale, and you said 3 to 4 months. And I'm letting you know again, that no commercial poultry farmer raises broilers beyond 7 to 8weeks. At that point, they should be very ready for sales. |
coldzobo:The moment your newspapers or carton litter materials are replaced with wood dust and your birds moved to larger spaces, you're done with brooding. And no professional commercial poultry farmer broods for more than 10 days. That guy was right. Broilers should be ready for sale from 7 weeks. |
successmatters:You're asking questions that are running foul of the issue in discourse. This thread is solely about Wike and where his allegiances lie. But to answer your question, Tinubu at this point is working for Nigerians, having been (s)elected on the platform of the APC. He's neither working for himself nor his party. He represents his party, but serves Nigerians. And please don't call me "boy" in your subsequent submissions. Accord me what respect I do you. |
Xkale1996:Same reason you put socks on the feet and mittens on the hands of babies. Prevent them from cold and germs. |
zhirkovrado:Points duly noted. Quick question though: does your aunt buy her Agrited chics by herself from the hatchery in Ibadan, or does she order her purchase through a high-end agent/distributor? |
coldzobo:Properly raised broilers should be ready for sale from exactly 8 weeks, that's about 2 months. If over 60percent of your 200 broilers do not weigh 2.8kg upwards at week 8, then your practices were wrong. No commercial poultry farmer keeps broilers for more than 10 weeks, not to talk of 3 months. |
successmatters:What are you saying? GEJ of PDP appointed Obi of APGA. Why would GEJ be moving to APGA? And in this scenario, has any of Wike or Tinubu remotely suggested moving over to each other's party? |
zhirkovrado:Agrited chics are way better than Olam. If you're having good sizes, it's all down to your feeding commitment and level of attention. Chikun makes good feed, but they don't hatch quality chics. |
- Putting feed on the bare litter material for day old chics to "snack" on was and is a poultry practice that defies logic. If those birds were not properly vaccinated from the hatchery, you'd have had more deaths for that very mistake. - Tray feeders are no longer advisable for brooding. The idea of chics stooling in their feed and pecking in it, is partly responsible for early coccidiosis. There are modified chic feeders that are price friendly. - Even if electricity cannot be afforded, kerosene lamps are bad for chics. They're very contributory to Chronic respiratory disease. Small solar lights are serving that purpose now. - You're wasting medications with the amount of water you're using for your brooding. One drinker of water is enough to meet any round of watering for all 200 chics. A tablespoon of medicine in a drinker, stirred, then shared into other drinkers can serve the purpose, since the water gets replaced three times daily. - Your vaccination process is a bit worrisome, especially looking at that black container you're mixing it in, which is the same you use to wash drinkers. You're setting yourself up for fowl typhoid, and believe me, that's one illness that 80percent of inorganic veterinary medicines cannot treat. - Agreeably, heat is important to regulate their temperature, but be certain to properly ventilate that brooding pen whenever the sun starts to come up. Circulation of that "smokey" heat not only causes CRD, but hampers proper growth. |
