This is this man's private business. Leave him alone. He is not poke-nosing in what you do. He also did not borrow money from you or your father. He is not producing, it is his loss and yours.
What kind of stupid talk is this?

Are you not aware that the Federal Government bought stakes in the refinery with tax payers' money? We have every right to ask questions when appropriate.

If you don't know, the military is not the solution to misrule in Africa! The worst civilian rule is better than the best military rule! I cannot support Putin, I dont trust that guy! Putin has ruled for 24 years in Russia! Is that your model? Please, stop this nonsense! You are not suffering yet, honestly!
Abeg, miss me with that emotional blackmail bullshit joh!

Putin has ruled for 24years yen yen!
Who is asking Putin to come and rule any country in Africa? That's how you people have been so twisted by Western propaganda that your mind has literally been fine-tuned to believe that "alliances" come in the form of "being ruled", because that's basically what the West has been doing by proxy, ruling our democracy through greedy politicians.

An alliance is a working understanding with a partner. Africa is big enough to form an alliance with Russia or China where we'll function as partners with mutual respect and not being subdued while our resources are stolen from under our noses.

Something must be wrong with that Northern elder.. So we should just fold our arms and watch things go bad for the people of Niger?
Whether we accept or not, the pros of democracy far outweigh the cons.
And who said things are going bad for the people of Niger? Have the citizens even complained one bit since this coup began? Have we rather not seen pictures and videos of the people supporting the plotters? What is our business with their democracy? How is it even our business if they decide to practice military government? Has Paul Biya not been President of Cameroon for about 40years? Una don go Cameroon try to enforce democracy and rule of law there? Or is it because the foreign backers of Biya is France and the UK? Is Cameroon not our neighbour too?

Why must you be comfortable with our leaders having foreign backers. These so called backers are in it for their own national self interest. You think Russia and China are giving money to Africa because they are kind huh. They want to control our resources just like the west are currently doing.
My argument is that we need African nationalists in leadership positions and not replacing western stooges with stooges of the far east(Russia and China).
You obviously didn't read my second paragraph properly. Cause we're literally on the same page. I want exactly what you've just described. But in a case where the coupists want to form alliances, as would likely be the case, then let them form new alliances.

Let us just do something different for a change!

Wike remains the most sought politician in Nigeria presently. Everybody dey rush him.

As a Governor, he invited leaders of all the major political parties in Nigeria to commission projects in Rivers state.

Peter Obi came
Tinubu came
Kwankwanso came

He's the true UNIFIER but PDP sold the ticket to the highest bidder...the beginning of their downfall.
First time I'm agreeing with you on something.

Wike seems to have sat down to study the kind of politics that got Tinubu to the Presidency. He used his Tenure as Governor to bury political roots to virtually all the regions in the country. Either he or his personal Judge, retired Mrs Odili, have done favours round and built loyalties that will be difficult to untangle when the time comes calling. By so doing, he has established his relevance, even if he was crude and brash about it in the process bruising some other egos, he just doesn't seem like the kind of politician who has any plans to fade away after his tenure.

Wike has BIG plans for Nigeria's politics. And it makes me shudder when I think about it, knowing who Wike is and what he's capable of, after his audacious performance in Rivers state during the Presidential elections.

These coups are foreign backed. If you think any coup is for African liberation then you are quite naive.
It is just one faction (of the same class) replacing another faction.
I don't care about the backers of this coup, but let the status quo change. If the new backers are Russia, then so be it. We've tried alliances with the Western countries and we haven't been the better for it. Let us try fresh alliances with Russia and see what prospects that holds for us as a people.

We are not sub-humans to these whites for God's sake! Africa is the engine room of the globe. We are fucking Blacks! We're considered the Iron backs of the continent. We do the hard and dirty tasks that people in the rest of the world cannot handle. We have the brains. For once, let us take our own lives with our hands. Let us truly be independent!

And if it only takes military coups to achieve that in West Africa, then so be it!

Don't sneakily plant military bases and personnel in our countries and be using stupid ass "diplomatic and economic ties" as fronts to be stealing our god-given resources while handing us remnants of your currencies in form of aids and low interest loans, thereby keeping us in perpetual servitude.

Make e end abeg!

I'll be lying if I claim to be displeased with this Niger coup. Africa has been tied down for way too long. Decades after independence, we still live like a people still under the thumbs of Colonialists.

Much as I'm not a church fanatic, I'm pretty certain God wasn't just cruising when he declared that "since time immemorial, his children suffereth violence and oppression, and it is only the violent ones that will take their freedom by force".. huh

Some of you, out of hatred for the government have lost your sense of reasoning and behave so foolishly that one wonders if loss of election means loss of sanity.

The money was saved after subsidy removal.

The loan was taken before subsidy removal by the previous government.

You may argue that be could have returned that loan but that is if we don't need the loan....we sure do need it
Are you listening to yourself?

We're neck deep in debts to various countries and international monetary bodies, yet you somehow feel we still need more loans, despite the claims of saving 1trillion naira in 2months?

Currently, over 70% of our yearly revenue goes into servicing loans. Motherfvcker, SERVICING loans! Not repaying them. That is, paying the interests on those loans and not repaying the actual loans themselves. Then a government comes and claims to have saved 1trillion naira in 2months, and your 2 megabytes brain is still grandstanding and supporting their decision to proceed with more loans.

Who's the one losing his sense of reasoning now.. huh?!

donjazzet:
Please my fellow Nigerians, don't listen to people who are paid to push agendas and propaganda for foreign interests even to our own detriment.

No matter how bad a democracy is, it is still far better than a dictatorship.
No matter how Buhari or Tinubu bleeps up, we still enjoy the freedoms enshrined in democracy. The freedom of information, freedom of press, freedom of movement. You can move in and out of the country as you please without any government illegally holding you.

You can visit any website you want and criticize your government and its officials as much as you want. These might seem as a common and easy thing but know that these are not privileges afforded to citizens under a dictatorship.

A dictatorship is ruled by decrees and junta. One where only one man has the final say and does as he says.

Please don't let Russian implanted agents present across the internet to let you see anything good in a military dictatorship. Worse, one that is a puppet of Russia.

Please don't be fooled my fellow Nigerians. Don't fall for Russian propaganda. You may hate the west all you want but Russia is definitely not the answer to our African problems. Military dictatorship is definitely not the answer. We have had Babangida, Abacha, Buhari, Gowon etc and these dictators were all worse than the problem they had claimed to want to solve
This is all noise.

Western Countries should dismantle and remove all military presence from African countries with immediate effect!

There's no excuse that justifies their presence in African territories. Our continent long left the shackles of colonialists and shouldn't continue to be in their systematic control.

You always sound like someone who suckles from the tits of these oppressors, making a strong case for the West and seeking to demonise Russia and China, when the West is worse than the other two in actuality. Let them leave Africa alone. The continent is not a crawling toddler that needs the support of an adult to stand.

No dey come here dey vomit rubbish as if you were climbing mango trees while your mates were having their basic education. I only even replied you cause that your last message was nauseating. You're practically teetering on the brink of lunacy!

What are you saying? in the North East and North West the airforce is extremely active. You are talking about Tucanos meanwhile much more sophisticated aircraft are being used daily in that theatre.
The North East has been under seige by terrorists and insurgents who have camps in various forests. It is understandable if the airforce puts up a strong showing over there.

There is nothing happening in the South East to warrant the intervention of the Airforce. The police can comfortably handle the challenges, it they possess the will and requisite government directives.

so failure in the north is your yardstick to determine your own progress. FYI, multiple times tucano jets have hovered the north east, northwest region. Even recently they bombed bandits in nasarawa state.
The Airforce has no business flying fighter jets in the South East. The security challenges there can comfortably be handled by the Nigerian Police if Nigeria were a working country.

Let's stop attaching sentiments to these things.

Yes, the jets showing up in the sky over enugu will have some psychological hit on miscreants looking to cause menace.
I am in enugu and I like the way Peter mbah is using his executive powers to assert himself as the CSO of the state. In such I just came home from work now and on my way home I saw beefed up security in almost any angle I looked.

Any criminal that has mind can come test power. Fools.
Only reason some of you can be confident enough to even contemplate the idea of fighter jets hovering civilian airspaces is because the Nigerian system has largely abused the essence of the armed forces.

A society where soldiers aimlessly roam the streets and meddle in civilian disputes that are constitutionally within the working purview of the Police force, is enough yardstick for the citizens to be misinformed enough to believe the air force should fly jets in a region that is experiencing security challenges being perpetrated by ordinary hoodlums.

So this comes as no surprise.
