It is not smart governance to be chasing say 10bn$ while the economy shades 250bn$!
Do you even know why we're currently where we are? What did we gain when corruption was not fought? If fighting corruption shades $, tell me the $ that not fighting corruption has brought us. We humans have short memory and we always encourage quick fix. There is no excuse for corruption to be allowed to go unpunished. Corruption is the only element of bad governance that Nigeria have. I can understand if you talk about Niger Delta militants but corrupt people? No! Corruption brought us where we are. Nigeria made over 30 trillion naira since we discovered oil but nothing to show for it. It's corruption that made our healthcare, schools and public institutions so degenerate as it is now. Corruption is responsible for bad roads, lack of power, and ultimately contributed to the unemployment we have now.

If you insist on this, I can't help but to believe you benefited from corruption.
CareerRe: Where Are The Great Microbiologist And Their Jobs: Advice, ideas And Experience by Boldstar(m): 12:13pm On Oct 07, 2016
I have read almost every comment on this thread. Every one is complaining but no one is giving suggestions for microbiologists who have reached a dead end in practising what they studied.

I believe SLT (Micro option.), Food Microbiologists, Environmental microbiologists, Med Lab Scientists (Micro specialists), and those who read just Microbiology in uni/poly are all microbiologists. What we need is deep collaboration amongst ourselves to help and develop each other. I am a Med Lab Scientist specialised in Microbiology. There are certain sectors where it is required by law to have certain certification before you can work. That is what Med Lab Science (Health sector) and SLT (industrial sector) is enjoying. But in ideal conditions, the jobs those sectors can provide is small compared to what can be gotten. In Nigeria, the gov't has not given any attention to research. Research has the opportunity to provide A LOT of jobs. Although the microbiology curriculum Nigeria offers is full of theory and no practicals (except for Med Lab Science curriculum), I believe if the jobs are created, the skills will be acquired through training and re-training by those who have it.

What we need to do as microbiologists in general is to come together under one umbrella and make serious advocacy to the ministry of science and technology to create funding avenues for research. Research options are abound in Health, Agriculture, Bioremediation, Biogas, Pharmaceuticals, bioinformatics and biotechnology especially using molecular genetics and nano technological techniques. And only research brings advancement in every facet of human life.

Multinational corporations in Nigeria prefer to support music than scientific research that can bring about national advancement. These companies, foundations, gov't and others should be made to pledge some sum of money to research annually.

This same issue affects those who studied Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physiology. Those who read biochem and physiology are mostly pharmaceutical reps these days. They rarely practice what they studied.

So my suggestion is creation of an umbrella that will go on a fruitful advocacy for microbiologists, irrespective of specialization, so as to create job opportunities for microbiologists especially in research and development.

5. Hoarders
And these guys? I think they were the meanest sets of friends ever. Imagine it’s the end of term and everyone’s mad hungry. These guys had enough to feed an entire group of friends. But they’d hoard it and take it back home. Saying something like “I want to impress my parents.” Jeeze those provisions were meant to be eaten not taken home.
Lol. I remember one guy in like that JSS 2 whose corner was opposite ours in FGC Kd. On vacation day, one of the guys in our block mistakenly hit his leg on the other guys box and found it was very heavy. We heard clatter of cans inside the box when the guy hit his leg. We decided to check it out because we have been suspecting that guy that he is a hoarder. From week 1 of resumption that term, he was complaining he had nothing. Luckily for us, he has rushed to DH that morning. We quickly turned the padlock of the box to ashawo padlock and opened it. We saw unopened M&B, G2, whiteman, I pack of CF and half pack of Yale. Na so we call A boy o for inside block. We brought a big bucket and emptied everything inside together. Poured 4 litres of water and everyone in the block started taking one one base each. Na so we finish am before he came back from DH. We put empty cans back inside his box and locked his box back jejely for him. He reported us to our housemaster but we denied vehemently saying he never had anything in his box because he always said he had no provision since like the beginning of the term. EVERY OTHER boy in the block supported us. That was how we were released that day! Even after that, the guy no change. He still kept hoarding till like SS2 when I personally stopped taking tabs on him. Stingy guys never change

Stay on the message!
I am staying directly on the message which is Ground Corruption to a Halt. No field day for any criminal. If we should go by Dino's insane suggestion, then every other types of criminals like Kidnappers, Armed Robbers, Cattle Rustlers, Drug dealers and smugglers should be given amnesty too. There is a reason we have anti-corruption laws. EFCC and ICPC were not created for fun. We have laws in this land. Let the laws take their cause. Corrupt politicians must not be pardoned

You have a good mastery of English language and I learn from your write up.

However, I need to inform you that English language is imposed on British colonies by their slave masters to keep them under subjugation and mental slavery, and also to cause them see British lifestyles and system of education as superior to their native cultures.

In my days at university, I learnt that western education system impose on us is to tame our minds from thinking afar. We are restricted to think within the confine of our area of study when commonsense demands we have grasp of all aspect of life to be termed 'educated'.
In ancient times, the great philosophers like Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Thales, etc were taught in all areas of life ranging from politics, science, history, law, religion to name it..
In order to grasp the in depth fundamentals of any field of study, you need to know the basics which will get you grounded to research and seek knowledge independently.
The elite of the earth who control world economy, politics, finance etc are taught using this all encompassing mode of education which give them the esoteric aura that ordinary person would never acquire.
You are qualified to call yourself educated only when you have grasp of every thinkable aspect of life and universe. Most of our professors are only educated in their field and versed with grandiloquence which gives them aura of erudition whereas they are half-baked.
I am still learning because I know that until I grasp all the fundamentals of life and its relativity to our daily struggles, I am not educated. I think this should be the mindset of all undergraduates and not the mad desire to come on top of their classes.
I HATE WESTERN MODE OF EDUCATION.
Do you know 'Boko Haram' means I HATE WESTERN MODE OF EDUCATION?

Be practical our recession today is cos of the corruption fighting slogan of this administration. Those with little or no economic weight are cheering while the levers of economic might are just in suspension watching and waiting for a change in current bragadooo!
Every economy and nation is corrupt. It is not a nigerian thing but, human. However, the reduction in corruption must mean expanding opportunities in an inclusive manner not, arresting and media serialization. We don't need series on corruption we need better lives.
This govt doesn't get it. The monies in the hands of many will ginger the economy if they are not encouraged to hide them away.

Trunaijian:
I visited Idu station today in order to make enquiries in preparation for my first trip to Kaduna sometime this month. I was lucky to meet the station Manager, Mr Sola who was kind enough to answer all my questions.

Below are my findings:
-The station is being built by the Chinese company -China Construction.
-The speed of the train is 85km/h thus; you spend over 2 hours from Idu, Abuja to Rigasa, Kaduna.
-There are two classes available for passengers; Business class N900 and Coach N500. According to the Manager, both are quite comfortable with very little difference.
-work is still on going to put finishing touches as you would see in the photos below.
-Just beside the terminal is another building under construction which will serve as the Abuja Metro Terminal ie Only meant for intercity transport as against the operational one which is for inter-state travel.
-Work is currently ongoing to link Abuja international airport to the idu terminal to convey passengers to the metro terminal (for those coming into Abuja town) or to the Operational terminal for those who wish to travel to Kaduna. Completion of the metro and rails from the airport is August, 2017.
-There will be opportunities for entrepreneurs in the terminal as soon as all construction works are finished. ie restaurants, saloons, boutiques, etc
- Train works from Mondays- Saturdays
- There is one stop in Kubwa en rote to Kaduna. Passengers who aren't mobile are advised to board or alight in Kubwa for easy access to transportation into town

Find pictures below:

PS: as at the time i got there, there was no train on site and the next arrival was hours away.

RomanceRe: How Many Of You Are In A Relationship Without Sex? Share Your Experience by Boldstar(m): 10:20pm On Sep 22, 2016
JeffreyJames:
Na this talk dey annoy me lol

The fact he's not having sex with her doesn't mean she's getting it somewhere else... Not every girl is a slut biko.
Well, this is my personal experience. I dated this girl for 7 years. No sex. I was the biggest maga of all times. Meanwhile, in our 7th year, I heard my girl aborted pregnancy twice during our 5th year. This was said to a close relative by the father of the boy that impregnated her. Both of them did not know I was by the corner listening cos everyone knows the girl and I together. The man was bitter the girl got pregnant again for his son while the girl's mother was hospitalised battling cancer. He later went on to tell my close relative with whom they're friends about how they took the girl to a particular hospital for D&C. When I heard all this, I wanted to die literally.

You know the shocker guys? I confronted this girl and she denied vehemently. She said I should come and confirm by having sex with her. Meanwhile she was the one always holding back, begging me when we're alone. Always saying she does not want to be a bad example to her younger sisters. She denied sotay she wanted to carry Holy Book to swear. That was when I believed this Yoruba saying that 'ti o ba ka oko mo obinrin nidi, a pe ni shuku agbado' meaning if you catch a woman red handed with prick in her pvssy, she will still lie saying its not prick you saw. I chased her out of room after that incident and that was the last time we saw.

Now, I bleep all my new girls NOT LATER than the 2nd day of relationship. Meanwhile, as a good role model to her sisters, her immediate younger sister aborted two pregnancies for a man who she knew had a wife and three kids.

So OP, no sex dating still occurs but I'll bet you that 9/10 of those ladies involved get regular bleeps on the sidelines. Na the guys be the maga.

Tega4B Its so coincidental that I was advising a guy whose gf got pregnant for him yesterday. He said she wants to get rid of it cos of family (basically mother & brothers) but he wants her to keep it. The advise gave him is what I'll give you.

Search deep within yourself what is more important, avoiding pissing off your mother or keeping a baby that could turn out lovely. The decision is entirely yours, and not your bfs.

OP, while you're talking about your hustles, lazy minds were focused on your 'virginity'. Don't mind them. Leave them with their problem which is intellectual laziness.

Though you sounded off when you criticised the 'illiterates' doing the same, all you said got me thinking about how there are still ladies out there who do not compromise their dignity for money. Keep your legitimate hustling going. If you knock hard enough, the door will open eventually. Meanwhile, try some low paying jobs as you've not gotten one that can give you the amount you need.

About travelling, I know you're a graduate. It's lot easier to travel on education grounds e.g. Masters. Try that if you haven't.

God bless your hustles. God bless mine too.
