GboyegaD: Does that matter? Aren't they both musicians or is she feeling she is better than he is? So because the OP says it's an autograph then it is, right? |

Radoillo: You came on a thread about a Nigerian Festival with Muslim roots and wrote what you wrote. My response to your comment was in context. Now you want to talk about human sacrifice and 'idol' worship? Is Ojude Oba about any of those things? Perhaps you should have saved that comment and made it on an appropriate thread - not here. You "context" is misaligned. The Ojude Oba is still based on traditionalism, is it not? Nigerians and their mentality needs serious re education. |

Radoillo: I don't know why comments like this always enrage me. The Scots should get rid of their bagpipes and kilts and all their traditions before they can move towards the modern era, eh? Oh, wait the Scots are already in the modern era, bagpipes and all. The comparism is ridiculous. Traditionalism in Nigeria is not forward thinking. It is based more on subjugation, archaic human sacrifice and idol worship. How often do we hear "don't go out at this time of the day, the oba is looking for someone to sacrifice to the gods". Abi i lie? |

The sooner Nigeria moves away from traditionalism the sooner nigeria moves toward the modern era. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Right For A Church To Have Football Unit? by Bollinger(m): 11:44am On Sep 27, 2015 |
onatisi: the op asked a valid question . Some ppl are already labeling churches that have football teams as demonic and the op is just trying to seek a clarification.read through this thread and you will see where someone said God told him He detests tv station, football teams and etc. Did you read what you just wrote? boko haram is saying education is blasphemy, so are you going to hold credence to Bh's line of thought. Back in the day twins used to killed in calabar. Some things should not even be a topic of discussion. Only an ignorant person would even consider it. |

oismail: Is football a sin again? NL topic shaa...... The OP and the MOD who put this on the front page are completely and utterly useless. God help the Nigerian mentality. |

blueto: I have the privilege of being a Youth executive in my Church. And since I enamour football, I have been thinking of initiating and establishing a football group, were we can train and organise friendly matches with other Churches as well.
But I feel skeptical about this innovation because it is unbiblical. Thus, it may be unacceptable to God.
So I am don't know if it is really right to proceed with the idea.
Please I need your advise. Your contributions will be well appreciated. The reason you are skeptical is that you are ignorant. Ask yourself; what has sport, in this case football, have anything to do with the bible? |

Ferdynixon: I need the part two of the story Walahi!! This is the strangest thread i have ever seen on NL. The OP is the only one carrying the thread. Half the posts on the thread is from the OP. |

Damn. She still is beautiful. Last time I saw her she was young as hell. I think in the year 2000 at femi's house. We went there to get him to sign a contract with our AD agency. Femi phucked up with her. Should not have let her go. Cheating in a marriage is always counter productive. |

tobimillar: Are all westerners perfect? Yet the cnn and bbc will only dish out favorable news items about their people but will go to any length to paint africa as blacks..trust me, there are positives to take away from Nigeria even in the midst of all the negativity Yes you are right. Some "positives" include; serious and obvious corruption, bribery from the public to private life, instantaneous extra judicial justice (jungle justice), zero security, dilapidated infrastructure, lack of power supply, zero pliable roads or maintenance, and the worst, the absolute worst is the stone age mentality of it's citizens. At least with a somewhat enlightened mentality one can expect change and transformation, but with the present mentality, you might as well kiss that good bye. |
