Roland17: Speaking about humans and the environment, I still maintain that it is human behavior that influences the environment before the latter influences the former. Without human behavior there is no environment. Human behavior creates social constructs and acceptable standards that promote communal living.
The human brain is designed to essentially ask the question “WHY”? Do you have kids? If you do, when your kid was a baby and learning to walk and had no understating of morality, did your baby try to go touch or do something you know they shouldn’t be doing? Did your baby at any point push boundaries trying to see your reaction?
The answer is most likely yes and that is because, the human brain from birth is designed to be inquisitive, it is never “conditioned” as you proposed. Does the environment influence humans? Yes but Human behavior is integral to defining society and the environment. I actually think it's the opposite. Our environment is what creates, shapes our behavior and the way we think or acts. I believe a baby raised by monkeys from day 1 will see it self as a monkey, think and act like one. They have been experimentation carried out on it as well. |

I've never seen anyone prosecuted for Polygamy and many people are openly polygamous
Yes I mean under traditional marriage Yes Africans practice polygamy under traditional form of marriage. Legally it's not allowed in Nigeria same as in the u.s. |

DeadPresidents: If we establish a precedent, who says such inbreeding cannot continue for generations?
You’re the one that needs to research the fate of the Royal houses of Europe and ancient Egypt that had incest as a favorite pastime.
King Tut-ankh-amun was most likely a cripple based on his bone density when his interred remains were unearthed. Inbreeding during those days were forced because they wanted to maintain blood line. It's a totally different concept to what the original poster asked. |

raumdeuter: What is good and what is bad is determined by the society we live in
What we consider good or bad today was/is acceptable behavior in some societies
In the west it's more acceptable to have a same sex relationship than to have an heterosexual relationship that is polygamous. Those of us who grew up in Africa and other parts of the world will wonder how that even starts to make sense
Royal families practice incest in the past to keep the purity of their bloodline.
Science has shown that it predispose children from such relationships to genetic defects
We are higher animals and intelligent ones too. Our behavior need to reflect that
As a society we need to have certain standards that guide us otherwise we will become like animals that nack their own mothers and siblings I hope you know polygamy is not legal in Nigeria as well. You are talking about traditionally in Africa. |

DeadPresidents: Even though I’m not the most religious, I’m grateful for the Laws of Moses and the Hammurabi codex for their dictates around incestuous relations.
Let’s assume birth control fails and the incestuous morons conceive. A cretin is the likely product from a geneticists viewpoint.
Liberalism taken to extremes will be the death of us. Come on do a little research. Genetic disorder from incest only comes if it continues for multiple generations. |

Roland17: Sir, my original post is as easy as easy. If we are not talking about religion then why are we debating! Isn’t that what you read in my original post? You see why I said you are debating yourself? You just jumped on it first by creating your own narrative and now you see you are wrong!
Let me also correct you, humans behavior is what actually influences the environment leading to social constructs like religion, not the other way around.
Let me make this easy for you. Seun, the owner of this website is an atheist, he doesn’t believe in God (anyone with better knowledge can correct me). Does the absence of religion in Seun’s life mean Seun can’t decipher between right and wrong? What is human behavior? You realize human behavior is affected and controlled by society, environmental factors, religion etc.. You are still getting it wrong by even using this seun example. I am not debating with you that religion is the only factors in which human decides what's wrong or right. That seems like your entire premise. What am telling you is that humans are not born with an innate sense of what's right or wrong. We get them from society and environmental factors which could mean religion, laws and regulations, Personal conviction etc. Seun might not use religion to determine what is right or wrong but he has other foundations on which he gets his morality from. Maybe we are arguing from diff viewpoint or I misinterpreted your initial post. |

Roland17: Sir, thank you admitting your failed attempt.
Sir, you are debating and disagreeing with yourself. Is religion the only component of the environment? Is religion a product of humans? Is religion a social construct?
Most importantly, before the advent of religion, did people make moral/ ethical decisions? In today’s modern world, those who don not believe in religion, are they able to decipher between good and evil?
Have you ever heard of “Veil of ignorance”? We are not talking about religion being the basic of morality. You seem not to understand what am talking about. The initial post you even quoted made no mention of religion. What am trying to tell you is that humans are not Born with the innate knowledge to decipher good/bad or wrong/right. We are programmed and thought those things from birth hence they are influenced by society, environment factors, Religion etc |

Roland17: Sir, you are disagreeing with yourself. I can not debate you when you intentionally or unintentionally removed parts of my sentence to suit your narrative. I have added your full post underneath and it still didn't make any difference. Can humans decipher what is wrong or right without religion, society and various environmental factors? The answer is clearly no which is what I diagreed with in your post. Roland17: Humans have the capacity to decipher between right or wrong (Morality) without religion. Morality on it's own is a social construct that defines acceptable standards and it evolves as human behavior evolves.
Morality vs Ethics is a bigger debate. What is morally right vs what is ethically right? |

timay1: So FIFA club world cup from 2025 will compose of 32 teams.
UEFA is increasing the champions league to 48 teams from 2024.
European football clubs are massively shortchanging themselves. They can create an NBA styled franchise with the Super league, where they share all the profits among themselves, just like it's been happening in the premier league.
Also, who knows if the likes of Perez that are pushing the super league wants to make UEFA to negotiate and start sharing the bulk of the TV rights revenue with the clubs , instead of giving them peanuts. Do you even know how the NBA works before thinking Football can ever emulate it and I don't know how you can call 2 billion plus per champions league season Peanuts. 95% of the money is already shared amongst the clubs. |

hensben: At emboldened, you lied and it shows you didn't watch our ucl and uel win, we actually dominated teams in those wins including real madrid. Why are you trying hard to paint chelsea bad when we that support and watch the team telling you that jorg is a liability. He is a liability because he rarely progress play and cause attacking threat and defensively he is easily breezed past and dominated in the air. All what he does best i side and back passes and then to some extent maintaining temple of the game like Mikel when with the ball. Personally that type of CDM is waste of space, mostly in epl, when you can actually get a proper CDM like case, rodri and tchouameni that are defensively and offensively solid. Everybody knows you won the champions league playing a tactical low block with a defensive formation. That's not an argument we should even dive into. That so called liability would have walked into Peps team when he wanted him and he would have used him to win multiple league titles in the same tough epl. |

FirstbornWds: I don't think it's fair to compare physique of Gundogan with Jorg though Nobody compared Physique and having a little body mass than another does not make you stronger. The Koko here is Gundogan is not defensively astute and Jorginho is a better defensive midfielder In terms of defensive contribution between both. Nobody can tell me Gundogan is better defensively than Jorginho yet Pep had no problem playing Gundogan as his dm and winning ten straight games in the same tough Epl. |

Take it or leave it... Chelsea simply lacked the major prospeneties to allow any technical DM prosper in the team And even when they have a coach who wants to implement such a system the fans are not patient enough. They prefer kick and rush plus jam body type of football. |

hensben: They didn't know how to use him yet they won ucl with him and he even got individual awards with chelsea compared to napoli. i have personal problem with jorg type of cdm because they are liabilities to their partner and do basics for the team. Why not get a proper CDM then instead of one weakling. Again gudo can progress play and not easily bullied off the ball when challenged unlike jorg. Italian league is slow so his type of cdm will see light there if at all. You used him in a low block to win all those trophies which even gives jorginho more credit for being adaptable. We have seen how good jorginho is in a possession based set up and with Guardiola in the premier league he would have slotted right in. Jorginho does all Gundogan offers in that particular CDM roles. We saw jorginho led Napoli dominate Manchester city in the champions league as well. |

hensben: Again Gudo is astute with the ball and can actually progress play whereas jorg rarely progress play and easily bullied off the ball when challenged. He is with arteta who is pep student so let's see how he will use him to win the league. Again not accurate. We have seen jorginho at Napoli and in his first season at Chelsea under sarri to know you are lying. Gundogan is not stronger than Jorginho In that role. Jorginho used accurately is a pass master. Your team didn't know how to use jorginho effectively. |

hensben: Lies. jorg is weak whereas gudo is astute with the ball, it's just like saying sylva is weak because he is small which is not true. Jorg is weak and easily subdued. Pep would've bought another cdm already and bench or sell jorg. You guys talk like it's every player pep sign that clique. Because he played bousquet in la liga doesn't mean it will work for him in epl. There's no way Jorginho is weak and easily subdued when compared to someone like Gundogan. Pep used the same Gundogan as a Dm in the same league and was dominant. He would have used jorginho to dominate the same league as well. Blame your club for not knowing how to use a player like Jorginho effectively. |

We will likely get a draw again today. 26th is the most important match of the season. They can’t mess that up. Ballzproblem2: your Midfielders
mount kovacic
including ex player jorginho.
can hardly deliver 12 assist per player each season or even create chance ,yet you expect striker to average 21 goals per season , you are not serious no need arguing football with people who don't know that Midfield is the key for any striker to succeed. Liverpool midfield over the last 5 seasons disagrees with you. Their midfield was not tasked with creating chances or delivering assists yet didn't stop Mane, Salah and Firmino from scoring 338goals over the last 5 seasons. |
