Adams simply chest controlled Southampton keepers long ball and took a shot in the first half with Martinez marking him. There were also plenty of similar examples in the second half as well. Southampton were enjoying long balls on top of Martinez/Malacia in the second half, either winning it uncontested or picking up the second ball from short cleared headers. He was not dominant in the air like it's been made out to be.
