and too optimistic in the way he's setting up the team and on what he expects from many of these players. After two defeats now and strong teams coming next I expect him to adjust and be more pragmatic so we can start getting results which will remove pressure from his shoulder then expand from there.

Mctominay is usually decent when we don't have much possession. He actually did well yesterday. Made a few mistakes here and there but he also did well on many occasions. His decision making should be quick tho.

That's why I prefer Gakpo, that boy has shot power and accuracy. Can play at LWF and CF. He's tall too at 1.87m. Antony is limited. If the funds dey, get the two but the one more pressing is Gakpo. Man will bench Rashford flat.

Gakpo is a left winger and we already have two players in the squad who prefers the left wing Sancho and rashford. Gakpo has played his entire carreer as a right-footed left winger, he Is not a striker and nothing suggests he will be an effective striker if converted. We have zero capable right winger in the Sqaud so how is buying another left winger more pressing than a left footed right winger.

Brazil attacking options going into the world cup is scary. Neymar,Vinicius, Gabriel, Richarlison, Antony, Ralphina, Cunha, Rodrigo and even Coutinho. Clear favourites for me.

The plan and set up is the most important thing which is why Pep can use Gundogan as his Dm and still dominate in attack and defense without missing a beat. There was a season fernadinho was injured 2018/2019 I think and Pep used Gundogan in that position for 5 to 8 matches in the league and won all. That should tell you something. So how exactly do you come to the conclusion that not using them for the 3rd time was the reason he lost the champions league final ?

With the style ETH wants to play, we'll be very susceptible to dangerous counter attacks whenever there's a sudden loss of possession. We need ball winners in the midfield. ETH definitely thought Mctominay was one until he saw him losing out on duels back to back.

Every possession based team is susceptible to counter attacks so that's nothing new or relevant. They have a well defensive plan and shape when out possession not because they have ball winners or defensive cover. What each coach tries to do is limit those situations which can only happen when you have players capable of keeping the ball from the attackers down to goalkeepers and were everybody presses together under a coherent plan and pattern.
