TV/Movies › Re: Top 4 Vampire Movies You Should Watch Right Away by Born2Breed(f): 4:38am On Aug 30, 2018 |
Premiumwriter: I've been a big fan of the supernatural longer than I thought and vampires are my favorite.
Below are the top 5 Vampire Movies I'll recommend for anyone.
1. Let the right one in
This movie is quite slow. No action but makes it the top of my list as the best vampire movies out there.
Let the right one in tells the story of a 12 year old vampire who has been alive for more than a century and yet remains the same. No friends or family and just when she made her first friend, a boy who really loved her like family, she had to move on.
Like I said there's not much action but the movie is a pack of emotions, feelings and is quite thought provoking.
2. An interview with a vampire
I'm an avid reader and a huge fan of Anne Rice. I've read all the books in the vampire chronicles and when I came across this movie, I knew I had to watch it.
Well the movie is quite interesting but if you must like it, you probably should read the book first, at least the first in the series.
The movie is just as it is in the book: a dose of feelings, pains, strength and powers of immortality and the utter meaninglessness of life.
Still hustling for queen of the damned though. If you know you know.
3. The Originals
I'd recommend you just watch the first 3 seasons of this series. I've always find it very difficult sitting through more than one seasons of most movies because they often end up changing the initial enemies I hated into friends which I must love.
Same thing happened in the rest seasons and pretty much every enemies became an ally. But the movie is quite great and threw a lot of light on the:
4: The vampire diaries
The vampire diary is a little like the middle of the Originals which tells the tale of the life family of immortals as they travel through the world over a thousand years without an iota of change in physique or character.
The movie is quite interesting especially season 1-3. I'm suspecting you...vampires don't sleep at night and you are awake....

Politics › Re: No President Influenced Me As CBN Gov — Sanusi by Born2Breed(f): 4:29am On Aug 30, 2018 |
14Ebiscoo: Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Emir of Kano
Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has said no President influenced his decisions unduly while he was governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
He disclosed this in an interview with CNBC Africa at the annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Sanusi said the lack of political interference in the operations of the CBN under his watch enabled his administration to control inflation, fix banks and transform the payment system.
Speaking on the need for collaboration in building sustainable institutions, Sanusi said the country has institutions that work but the right people should be appointed to do the work.
He said: “Institutions are those things that lay the foundation for longterm growth and development. And when we speak of institutions, we are talking about the legal arrangements that define their roles; that also give transparency and consistency to their actions.
“Whether we are talking about independent electoral bodies, independent central banks, independent regulators or the police force, how do we get them to understand that they have a role that is in the service of the entire nation and not at the short term discretion of whoever happens to hold political power? This requires the legal framework that can assess them of their roles.
“I keep saying that the CBN act is one of the best central bank acts in the world. So, in terms of decision arrangement, we have it. But we also need the executive to respect that independence. We need the central bank itself to protect that independence. We need the legislature to ensure that is being done.
“Look, I was governor of central bank. In my five years as governor, I never had a situation in which politicians influenced my decisions unduly. Sometimes, they will like to have lower interest rates; sometimes, they will like you to be a bit softer, but none of the presidents I served ever said you must do this.
“They didn’t express the view. If the central bank wanted to do it and it was within our purview, they allow us do it. Because of that, we were able to control the inflation, fix the banks. We were able to transform the payment system, do the BVN.”
On the issue of migration, the emir said: “You cannot discuss migration exclusively when you don’t discuss development. What is it that makes peo

henrygale: I think you have just been saved from what you would have termed your worst marital nightmare coz it is clear the siblings and family has a good grip of the guy who seems to be their source of livelihood. You are seen as a threat who will take away this source of livelihood from them; and funny enough, the guy in question is their dummy and doesn't have a mind of his own. 3years is small and doesn't count compared to a marriage you will regret after forcing yourself into it. There's always time to retrace ur steps and start again. Take it as one of those mistakes ones does in life and thank God for not ending up with him; the societal issues will definitely come but brace urself up to face dem, and move on with your life. One of the worst thing in marriage is to be hooked with a man who doesn't have a mind of his own especially when being advised or tossed about by his family. I wish you luck as you move on. Gbam!!! U too much. Manage this bottles of beer or you prefer the tank?

infonnews5: British Prime Minister Theresa May has arrived in Nigeria, as part of her visit to some African countries.
Shortly after her arrival on Wednesday, May proceeded to a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Issues to be discussed at the meeting include the security challenges in the country, economy, as well as the 2019 general elections among others.
Prior to the visit, the British PM was in South Africa where she decried the poverty rate in Africa and the activities of terrorist organisations.
She had also described Nigeria as “home to more poor people than any other nation in the world,” despite thriving as a country.
The Presidency had disclosed that President Buhari and May would sign vital defence and economic agreements involving Nigeria and the UK. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had also urged the British PM to visit other parts of the country to access the performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government.

Regardless of the party, these old men are same forget about their political interests; they still respect each other behind the scene. I put it to y'all that even if PDP loses 2019 presidential election, Saraki might fly back to home base. There's no criteria of rejection in that citadel of looting...or is there ?
With that said, I'll keeping praying "Dear God, you allowed Buhari to win in 2015 just to teach us a lesson. I swear Father Lord, we have learned the lesson, please don't let us repeat the class."
Amen. A bigger AMEN!!! |
