This is really shameful. Police officers had to be called in to settle a crisis which rocked the Celestial Church of Christ, Staten-Island Parish, in New-York City. It was gathered that the members who are mainly Nigerians (judging from their Yoruba dialect), engaged themselves in a heated quarrel between two factions as the chaos was too much that the police officers had to wade in.

Even when the police stepped into the church to restore peace, one of the female church members told an officer, "you're not supposed to come to the church with your sandal"as other church members hushed her down.

In the video footage posted online, one of the church members can be heard saying 'those people are coming back, they embezzled money and do sexual harassment in this church'.

The church members were told to vacate the church premises so it could be locked down.

Actor, Ibrahim Chatta has debunked the claim that his ex-wife, Salamat, who is a Senator’s daughter, left him because he was a woman beater.

There were reports that Salamat decided to walk away from their union because she suffered domestic violence but Chatta, in an interview with Punch, wondered how he could have summoned the courage to batter a politician’s daughter.

The actor explained that he tried his best in making the marriage work but to no avail after the woman declared that she no longer loved him.

Speaking further, he said, “I am not a wife beater. It was reported on different occasions that I beat a woman but no one came out with proof. When one beats a woman, don’t you think the women will come up with photos of injuries sustained during the beating?

“During an interview, a journalist asked me if I had hit a woman before, I said once but she slapped me first and they twisted my words and used it against me.

“When we die, we should not think it is over because God will like to know how we spent our lives.

“When I married Salamat, the daughter of a senator, here was no trust in the union . I begged and did everything to make the marriage work because I feared what the fans would think about me. I didn’t want the public to think I could not keep a happy home or see me in a bad light because I know I am a role model.

“But she said she had stopped loving me since 2012 when we did our Nikkah. According to her, she was only pretending all the while. Even though my mind was no longer in the relationship too, I still wanted her and was willing to put things in order.

“When couples fight, I don’t know why people always put the blame on men. If you are an entertainer, it becomes worse as there is a general insinuation that entertainers are promiscuous and irresponsible. heard different stories when Salamat left me.

“They also said she left my house because I didn’t have a good home . But I had four bedrooms , two sitting rooms and I accommodated people too.

“I love having people around me, which also became a problem . But she saw all these before marriage. They also said I beat her like I did to my baby mama. What kind of money do I have that would make me beat a politician’s daughter?

“Are people so gullible to believe those lies? When people make accusations , they should come out with proof apart from word of mouth.”

Ajegunle-bred veteran musician, Professor Linkin has come for Pana crooner, Tekno for failing to acknowledge him as the original owner of the song, “Kpolongo” which he sampled in his single, “Jogodo”. According to Linkin, he settled Danfo Drivers and ignored him.

In the song, Tekno also sampled some lines from a song originally done by a music duo from Ajegunle named Danfo Drivers. When the music duo raised dust over the use of their material, Tekno settled with them in private and is even set to drop a new single with them soon.

However, all of that didn’t sit well with Professor Linkin who felt Tekno ought to have contacted him too just as he did with the Danfo Drivers.

In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, Professor Linking laid his mind bare.

“Danfo Drivers are my friends and immediately the news broke that they had made peace with Tekno, I called them and asked why they did not tell him that I am the originator of ‘Jogodo’ but they gave me some excuses and claimed that the singer did not give them anything.

I am not dead, so why would someone want to take something I worked hard to get. I am the originator of ‘Jogodo’ in the whole world.

I am the only one that can tell people the real meaning of the word ‘Jogodo’. I heard rumours that Tekno paid Danfo Drivers N2m.

As my friends, I asked them if it was true and they denied it. When I called to ask them, they said that he did not give them anything than apology.

They claimed that they sat down, had some drinks, chatted and took pictures. If they are lying, God is watching them because I cannot read their mind.”

A notorious armed robber with one hand along with his accomplice got more than they bargained for after they were caught by angry villagers in Obeledu area of Anaocha local government Area, Anambra State. The suspects believed to have been terrorizing the community before their capture - were said to have been nabbed while trying to snatch a motorcycle from one man at gunpoint.

They were chased by the villagers and caught as the youths decided to make an example out of them by beating them mercilessly.

They were later handed over to Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.

Some Nigerians who absconded to other countries after traveling to Russia for the 2018 World Cup tournament, are now calling on the federal government to come to their aid. According to journalist Sapele Oghenek, the Nigerians fled into other countries from Russia in order obtain Schengen visa - with two dying in the process due to the cold weather.

It was reported that the group of guys paid N17,000 for a night just to hide themselves so that they won't be caught by security agents there.

It is said that when one's money finishes, the same foreigners who collected money to protect them from the police, will later expose them to the authorities.

Some Nigerians who can't afford the money per night, are said to be sleeping on the streets and also begging for money for food.

Due to the hardship they have experienced in the past few days, the group of guys who are staying in one room - decided to contact the journalist in order to publish their story so that the government will come to their aid.
