This are the factors you should consider when starting the project
1, Try by all means to know the average weight of your gate in kg or pounds. this can be done by weighing the gate materials before welding or after welding by industial weighing machine...
2, The weight of the gate will help you select the grade type of automatic controller you need.. (they ranges in D3, D5, D10) the D5 is normally used for home...
3, Uninterupted provision of point light at one side of the gate the controller will be located
4, Keep in mind the Gate will be sliding to one side when opened.. Adequate stopper should be provided in case the gate over runs it set limit
5, Make sure the controller is well embeded in solid concrete to avoid movement in the gear teeth moving the gate..

keep number 4 in th tip of your finger... Automatic gate na still computer program o... and you know computer gadget get mad at times...that is why they reboot sometimes o..... make sure you provide a rigid stopper that can hold the gate any time the controller misbehave o..

Addressing Mental Health Issues in the Construction Industry

Yesterday, I got a report that a very active worker died in his sleep at a site near mine. This got me worried and I feel I should share this.

Demanding workloads, extremely busy schedules, tight deadlines, long working hours, family demands and pressure, stigmatization, financial issues and concerns are some of the major issues contributing to high levels of stress among workers in the construction industry in Nigeria.

Lately, there has been an increase in cases of people slumping and dying on sites. This is worrisome because young people are more affected now unlike before when it was mainly the old ones.

Construction workers and anyone involved in construction projects needs to be mindful of their health, as prevention is better than cure. They should regularly conduct medical evaluation to manage their health.

Construction manager must have a clear duty of care toward their workers to provide a working environment that is not detrimental to the mental health of their workers.

Beyond having a safe working environment, project managers should create an assistance program that can help their workers with a variety of issues, ranging from health problems to financial challenges, that could cause them stress and worry and thus lead to lower productivity, absenteeism, increased mental health issues and untimely death.

I recently walked away from a project because of lack of respect for best practices and schedule. The client would rather have workers work till they breakdown by barking them down.
The culture at NextHome doesn’t allow incidents of bullying and harassments at construction sites from anyone (client, supervisors, artisans or labourers).
We treat everyone with equal respect.

As a matter of fact, my workers earn more than my supervisors and they know it.

I value my mental health and that of my workers and I always do my best to support and point them in the right direction whenever we detect anyone who needs mental support.
I also maintain construction managers and supervisors who do nothing on site other than provide me with need-to-know information on every worker. They've been trained to identify early signs of mental health problems and learn to listen to employees who need to talk.
They listen to every complaints and advice me on the tools to invest in to make work easier and reduce stress on site.

It wasn’t hard for my last client to say “You work with these guys like they’re your family.”

Once again, I’d encourage us to pay more attention to the health of our employees.

I am not surprise you said you won't get mad over 30k to 130k... But when I help register kobocity for half that price... you know all we both went tru on price before we reach agreement and settlements... Bros.. I am not a begger...
