Trust me, so much ceremony all in the name of the public servant trying to show off what he's done, ![]() |
TextCast: the governor is greeting dignatories present and taking his seat Peeps, it's still not late to join in, |
admin: we are awaiting the arrival of His Excellency 5 minutes to 3pm |
I'm only hoping and thinking the whole thing would not just tun to a big waste of my precious time. I'm just hoping it's a mere demonstration of Nigeria's indiscipline when it comes to keeping time. I hate the fact that we cannot send comments to the field directly though. It's always going to the moderators and people don't even get to see it. It's ridiculous. They're trying to cherry-pick our questions for the governor and it'll probably turn out the one he sees are those of people reighning heaps of praises on him because our questions would be filtered and not make it to the gov. |
Guys, kindly register on this website. It seems the governor is going to be answering our questions but now they've said it's gonna be 3pm (Nigerian time). |
redsun:LOL, he's not ganjaman but 9jaganja. Are you sure you're not suffering from London effect (i.e. too much ganja. hahaha) |
GettysBurg:I hate to argue against you though I have my facts to go against some of your points however, this thread is a matter of opinion so I'll let it rest because you have a reputation of digging very deep and I think this would go on and on and probably never die, so I'll say though I think Obj doesn't deserve all these accolades you're awarding him, I don't have the energy to argue so I'll let it be. ![]() |
I'll not make your weekend any more complex Cre8tivity, however I feel you're deeply obsessed with this man Ribadu. Make sure you go for detox else, you'll suffer from Ribaduism and that has no cure I'm afraid. Enjoy your weekend, whatever's left. |

Muza:I don't think he read the article at all. Why bother reply him now, at leats he's a Homo Sapien!!! |
The point is this, we cant all be so blind to things when it is taking a good or better shape, i have seen the problem with people here is food, example maisuya - why not eat some of your suya my man? no wonder you have refused to see changes when there is one, how sad can some people be? When in the history of Lagos have you seen xmas lights festooned all the way down ikorodu road? no one is saying this is a big deal, but i am talking of things that make me as a person proud, example, you might be proud that you ride a car, which to me is nothing but a dung, you reserve the right to be proud of it, therefore, if i tell you i am proud of my country for the changes i have seen, that is my own, you can never control or tell me what and what i will spend my time being proud of - other people are proud of other things you think does not matter, but hey, what is your own business with that? So, for all the chages i have seen, for all the beautiful ideas, for the beautiful city of Abuja, whether there is one better than it or not, I hold my head high and say, I am proud of my country Nigeria- if you are not, then, good and well for you, you cant change my opinion or what i feel about my country, kapish.
It's good and nice to talk about these things but the problem was that you actually didn't say these things without abusing these peeps and I think that's where the whole problem stemmed from. To be honest, even PapaBrowne posted his comment without abusing anyone. I thought this is a forum anyway and our opinion would always differ- that's life. |
The thing is i_laugh is so quick to abuse people and I've seen that on his profile, I just can't believe he's gone quiet here. I just wish we could claim victory by progressing an argument rather than abuse each other. Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles for some peeps. |
Sky Blue:Limited resources? - The amount of money looted and still yet to be recovered could easily tackle a sector hands-down without touching what we have in the reserves. If we get these money back from Ibori, Fa**y-Kayode ( ) and the likes, we'll definitely make a progress. So regardless of the price of crude oil, why did we overlook these funds tha could have been put to giid use?Sky Blue:LOL, Did yo just write that? I thought you love this dude, ![]() |
PapaBrowne:Without trying to criticise, Haiti is not among the world's 50 most populous countries. Colombia is 27th world's most populous country and has gained notoriety for drug dealing (so kidnapping might be a by-product as a result). Brazil - is one of world's most populous countries and I think is pretty similar to Nigeria when we consider the climatic conditions. Mexico and Venezuela are the world's 11th and 4th most populous countries respectiely. Among these countries listed before Nigeria, only Brazil and Mexico are among the world's top15 most populous countries and (though not really saying that they deserve to be there) but for Nigeria to rank among the likes of Afghanistan, Iraq and even Haiti (the poorest country in the world, isn't that troubling? So from your list, I think we shouldn't be comparing them in the same line when it comes to reasons for abyssmal rate of kidnap (Nigeria, Venezuela and Haiti). |
Couldn't believe you guys would eventually agree, though I sort of tend to lean more towards KoboJunkie because I believe in getting the very basics right and then get onto bigger things, Oh well, I deal as well, ![]() |
hajifaty:NObody messes with hajifaty, ![]() |
PapaBrowne:What's your honest opinion regarding Lord Lugard calling our nation "Dark Area" out of hatred? Also, as far as your quote is concerned (real heroes aren't celebrated here), do you regard Lord Lugard as a hero or do you not? I just would like to know how you feel aout that if you don't mind. |
Kobojunkie:That's very very true you know, lol, probably someone involved in an affiliate marketing and using us to get some cheap traffic, nice one. |
I've registered in order to be able to voice my opinion so people'll not refer to me just as an armchair analyst, we'll see how this PR works out to be. |
Mustay:Blind talk. Only if one of your siblings is in that condition in order to get an education. |
Just for those who are interested,I 've just checked the Naira to pound rate from the post office (MoneyGram) and it's N215 - £1. |
ode remo:LOL, tell em. |
It's a shame that in Nigeria, we love to praise mediocrity. How could we praise someone who'se ruled the country in the seventies and had the opportunity to turn things around but instead he didn't do jack. While we had Abacha and Babangida, remember those were the military days!!! Obasanjo took over as the first democratic president and people thought things was going to change but nothing changed. Is he the best, well go say that to the relatves of the thousands of people who were murdered in the village. Say that to the relatives of the people who lost their lives in the plane crashes that happenedduring his renure (apparently, his friend Fani-Kayode) was in charge). What's the difference anyway? OBJ's elction campaign was bankrolled by IBB so what's everyone talking about? You guys should wake up and stop loving a 3rd grade leader. Kidnap is inevitable anywhere in the world, faienough, we all know that, but for fck sake, Nigeria is worse than Afghanistan when it comes to kidnapping (and there's no war in Nigeria, well yet). Oh well, I'll not bother arguing with you guys. You might call him the best but that's because we don't have much to choose from. |
Mr Sammy aka allboyz We know Fash cannot do all for the state but he's not even done half the basics, has he? Goodnight ![]() |
ode remo:This has really made my Friday night, ![]() |
Sky Blue:Hahahahhaa, don't get obsessed mate. Let's just keep watching else you'll turn to a prophet of doom. ![]() |
lol, Kobojunkie predicted this, what a lash!!! ![]() |
Kobojunkie:Hahahha, you know I'm very hard to please, lol |
As long as I keep gettin the news that it takes 3hours to drive from Ogudu GRA to Ikoyi (instead of 45minutes or thereabout), As long as my fellow Nigerians cannot afford to even take their relatives to the General Hospital in Lagos, As long as there's never light in my neighbourhood for more than 10hours a week, As long as there are still many boreholes capable of swallowing a car the size of VW Golf, As long as the kids in Ketu Alapere, and the kids in kosofe highschool alapere ketu keep sitting on the floor, As long as there're still a minimum of 10,000 beggars on the streets of Lagos, As long as people are still suffering the pollution of Lagos, As long as my friend told me they have to put the bin in the boot of their car and transport it from their house in Gbagada to Lagos Island (in oder to empty), As long as there's still no water and people have to turn to smelly pure water sachets, As long as people still have to trek miles in order to fetch water, As long as people (ladies especially) are still scared to walk outside after 7pm, etc, etc, Fashola has done jack sh*t, Mind you, these are the basics (or aren't they)? |
