Location is surely Northern Nigeria, most likely Borno or Yobe.

I'll rather starve to death than accept a job offer anywhere in Northern Nigeria (Apart from Abuja) where you are surrounded by uneducated morons and religious fanatics who cannot eschew from violence.

I remember the 4 harrowing days I spent in Nasarawa. It felt like being right in the heart or Sambisa forest.
