resumed my MBA lectures this week @ University of Northampton Biz school, taking 4 modules this term: HR, MKT, FIN & ACC,Strategic Management, been fun so far and understandable, its only gone crazy this night while trying to study the Balance sheet structuring part of accounting, it's hard as transactions get complex on the financial statement, please does anyone have an idea of the best textbook to use in studying for beginners in Accounting and Finance like me?

Thanks justwise, a friend will actually be picking my up, plan on arriving the uk like 2weeks before my resumption,but wouldn't be resuming at the school straight away, will be hanging with my friend till the actual date of resumption and see if during that period I can get an accommodation that isn't school's own,maybe around the school's environ. how do i mention this to the immigrations, will this affect?

First all thanks to Baba God, next loada appreciation to my nairaland peeps up here, ell77, justwise and everyone for ur time and patience in explaining things in here.

Got my visa today, wow! Received my sms alert yesterday, its all good at the end.

Just for prospective applicants,these were the docs I submitted for my application:

Copy of my CAS
Bank statement and cover letter from bank
Btech cert,transcript and waec cert as stated on my CAS.
Letter from the institution confirming my 25% scholarship
A photocopy of each doc.
Took 21working days!

Now uni of northampton welcomes me, Lol

Good evening, please amongst we that are waiting for a visa application alert. please has anyone tried tracking on vfs website today using the reference number given to us? tried mine a couple of times today and it comes back with the message "ERROR Occured while performing operation !!!"

Well, let's stop saying they were quick to publicize a nigeria, please u check out the news well on dailymail for instance, u will see pictures and names of white looters that have been caught and jailed as well, even going as bad as mentioning those that are from the rich homes amongst the whites, their millionaire kids looting,family name and monetary worth of family spoken about as well,so their media aint partial at all.

Told u all I mailed, the uk embassy,abuja visa customer care unit just replied me requesting my passport number,age n name to enable them help me track my application, haven't replied em yet though, Should I do that?

Now this is a cool topic,well I bet cotonou buys are 50/50 chance,my dad's got a couple of cars from cotonue atleast 4 and he has been lucky to use them well and sell afterwards, but we became unlucky on thn 5th buy, lol, Was a c-class,american specs, padded,classy in its class,painfully it got siezed only after 6months of using it just after berger along ibadan expressway on an interstate travel,we never got it back till date,worse is the money,bribe we incured in a bid to get it back, lost a lot of money atleast over half of the cost of the car was used as bribe etc in a bid to have it back which we neva had.
Maybe we worsened the matter by not engraving the car allover sha.

Since then all other purchase has been either from the u.s or canada o,even mine, very perfect n clean, summing up to 4 purchases nw from us n canada, a c-class, isuzu trooper,2002maxima and this year a muscle, its been cheaper than lagos car mkt prices. At this point I think I want to visit VFS and put my complaint forward or something, its taking to long.

Also the person have borrowed some fund from wants her money back this week, been on my neck.

The major fear nw, is that in the news that intercontinental bank is liquidating,can't afford to lose 3.6M to a bank in the cause of awaiting visa,some of d funds which aint mine,wanna withdraw all bfor d bank's death. Was at d bank today to enquire on the liquidation,they are claiming to be merging with access nd nt closing down but one can't trust them!

Have sent mails to vfs and the british high commission this a.m,not a reply yet except for autoresponses that aint helpful.

Do I go to VFS today? Do u think news of a bank u have presented to ECO liquidating wouldn't even affect one's application, am visiting VFS, What do u all reckon?

@nana28, morning nana, i bet we in thesame shoes, i did applied since july 18th as well, honestly exhausting my patience now, so expectant that i rush to my mobile at any alert of text msg, but on seeing that its not from ukba i just take a deep sigh and might not even read d text gan.,,,funny!,

Lets be optimistic, i expect them to prompt me today thought, or atmost monday for collection.

But people seriously, if it is taking this long, does it mean they are doing an extra investigation than normal or what?, a bit scared!

Hi Fellow Nairalanders, please i need your help and opinions on this, i intend to start this little project (BULK SMS WEBSITE), the type that sends text msgs through the internet via a website, I have just started a career in the IT Industry, am a bit of a novice though, but I intend to make this my own little project, I also intend to commercialize it in the future, but i really don't know where to start and all it entails, building a website and also am i going to be hosting the website and progam,servers, ISP provider, e.t.c. i really don't have an idea and where to start from, can anyone be of help with a step by step guideline or an idea no matter how little it is?

Thankz justwise and dming, as a matter of fact, I will be able to complete my tuition fee before my registration at the school, cos the school has made it mandatory for me as one of d conditions in securing my scholarship grant.

If I have done this, I guess its not d school concern or ukba anymore to chase after d fact dt I still have my maintainance fee as I have claimed or go ahead to further verify in the future? Since I will be paying the whole of my tuition which is d one that matters the most?
