Installing and testing the dusk-to-dawn garden lights

olubuffett: 5m! that's high then after the tiles go on it will look different. The width of the building is something else to comment about. Hence the reason a 5m high roof seems like 6ft |
Just the way I want it!

Rendering work (ongoing)
|
^^^ The thing high o! We didn't modify at all. The highest point remains 5m as specified in the drawing. |
mufutau55: Thank you. What is the cost difference? Up to 50%?Could be lesser than 50% depending on installer |
Roofing Woodwork - Update
|
mufutau55: Oga Brabus.. Is the parapet used here or a precast? I am trying to see the physical/facial difference between the two. What we have here is a parapet and not a pre-cast concrete. It may be near impossible to spot the difference. In fact, precast concrete fascia have better finish than most parapet designs. |
Rendering continues... Here's the side with the fence rail and amazing curtain wall will be installed in the stairwell. Happy New Week! Happy New Month!!

oldenglish: Please how much does it cost. I will need it by early dec when am ready and around. Thanks.Cost is dependent on the total coverage area. I can give you contact details of my pre-ccast guy for further discussion. |
lawali: Thats good to hear. My inference was just from the pics. Thanks for clarification. Any choice of roofing sheet for chateau yet?We are waiting for the woodwork to be completed. |
lawali: To seasoned builders in the house, I need your candid advise on this issue. The kitchen & dining of my building under construction are 1.9m & 1.8m.The length is ok (up to 4.8m). They were bigger on design but reduced to current sizes to create required setback from the fence. The sizes are looking too small to me but my builder is saying they are ok and standard enough. I know average dining table is less than 1m in width but my concern is room space around the table while dining. Is the size good enough for commercial house or I should just start to modify the area by tearing down another wall? What is the implication of modification on structure integrity? I hope not to finish the house and nobody wants to rent due to small sizes. Your candid opinion pls.Bros, that space is too small. To provide traffic pathways behind dining chairs, I always recommend providing 3ft from table to wall, depending on the amount and kind of anticipated traffic in the room. However, in spaces where there is no need for a pathway (studios, bachelor's pad and other smaller apartments) I recommend 2ft from table to wall to permit a person to pull a chair out and sit. Just think about it. Its better you fix the problem now |
Till next weekend, wishing you a happy new month! |
Now...

Here's something alternative. Cheaper! PRE-CAST

Chateau De Brabus - Now and Then
|
mufutau55: Lawali, can you really tell that those staircases are in the same area? I cannot tell from the pictures Brabus posted. The spiral staircase is hidden. Take note we are still constructing the house. |
The well now buried.

Before and After Pics - The Well I dug the well before the commencement of the main project. However, we found out that it was standing right in the middle of the land and the driveway. The well has served us so well and in fact its serving the house and neighbours for domestic water use. Here's what we did to the well.

mufutau55: Agreed 1000%. Nice spiral and private staircases. The parapet is in the oven at the moment. It will take some days for it to be ready. In the mean time, here's a shape of things to expect in the next few days! We used the same template. Pic 1: Parapet rendering at Diamond Estate, Sangotedo Pic 2: Biggie (bricklayer) checking out the works. It has to be neat, straight and solid.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past one week. I have been very busy managing three other projects and also carrying out design work for a number of other clients..... So, on with the Chateau update: Roofing Woodwork Ongoing

segcy.moor:Amin! My reply is "Ire a kari o" |
Please can you explain why: - you opted for a concrete slab instead of interlocking tiles for the way? COST! Although, I already have some concrete paving stones prepared for the driveway. I just decided to go for the concrete after seeing the inspiration picture. - How does the perimeter drain pipe work? How is it best installed? The perimeter drain pipe is installed around the foundation of a house to draw water that would otherwise sit around the foundation and possibly prevent ground/surface water from damaging the foundation. It should be installed at a lower level than DPC so as to prevent capillary action. - Is that an inspection chamber on the drive way (the area you covered with a marine wood) No, it is a well. We dug it at the beginning of the project. I intend to steal some of your concepts. |
Onuokwu: Who made these windows/nets. I will like to get his contact. My junior brother made it. So you can contact me +2348023429122 |
