@Aventures, many thanks to you for checking back on this thread once again. ______________________________ EXPERT'S ADVISE ON BUILDING CRACKS Regardless of construction type, walls crack because they are overloaded or because the structure has settled or heaved. Vertical and angled cracks are usually caused by settlement or heaving. Horizontal cracks are caused by lateral pressure. Wall cracks that are wider at the top than the bottom indicate settlement. If your building has cracks, it is time to talk to an expert/structural engineer to diagnose the cause and severity of these cracks. See pics below - make una pic your own!

NextHome is looking for a good land for residential development. Looking to the future, our client needs a plot of land (60 x 120) on which to build their home. If you have any land you would be willing to donate or sell at reasonable cost, or any leads on any good land in any gated community within Lekki (Ikota, Badore, Abraham Adesanya, Thomas estate, and environ) …please let us know! Note: Land must be free from encumbrances, and be in a ready-to-build environment (not flood-prone or deserted areas). |

UPDATES GEO-TECHNICAL SOIL INVESTIGATION Still working on logistics! Water on the street is going down now. We are working on how to manually move the Rig to the site using the 'abokis'. Let's see if we can achieve something today. AREPO LUXURY BLOCK OF FLATS Its just been 10 days of recess - I noticed some people are beginning to remove planks from my german floor. Na wah o - just 2 weeks off! People fit thief foundation, if possible. |

Hello Friends, No matter the type of house you're trying to build, there are two ways, and only two ways to accomplish your dream home. You can either figure it out for yourself. . . . . . .or find someone who already has the experience and expertise and ask them to show you how. The first way can be highly compelling. . . if you're the person who enjoys watching people try to figure things out for themselves. For example, my father loves to do things on his own and if after wasting time and money does not succeed, finds a professional to help him. On the other hand, my mother will tell him lovingly to seek professional help. My Father believed he could figure out how to do things--also known as "guessing". . . . .while my mother knew it would be easier to accomplish his task and save time and money by seeking professional help. . . Friend, what do you think? Do you want to build your dream home with "guesses?" Or would you like to KNOW exactly how it's going to look and feel and how much money to invest? Our designs and concepts remove all the "guesses" and empowers you to build the dream home you always wanted and deserve! Call on us TODAY and we will design, modify and build to suit your style. Best Regards, Bosun Davies. NextHome We believe in YOU and we are committed to YOUR success! |
EXPERT'S ADVISE ON CONCRETE SLABS AND CURING PERIOD It is important that freshly poured concrete is kept from drying out too quickly during the ‘curing’ period This is because the full bond between all of the ingredients will not be achieved if it is left to dry out on its own, leading to a weaker structure with a greater tendency to crack. KUNTASH, na part of the thing wey dey cause crack be this o. With the columns, this is achieved by wrapping them in plastic, thus preventing evaporation of moisture. With the beams and slabs, it is done my periodically spraying them with water to ensure they stay wet.

Loving this! |

Are you building in Arepo? The business name is Mayus Block Industry, ask any bikeman to lead you to there office in Arepo. |
@jerryben12, unfortunately we don't deal in that area. But you can send me the details with pics, let's see what we can do. |
@nameoh, thanks for you interest and comments, points well noted. The dining is at the far back of the building in the 1st wing - next to the kitchen and not directly under the stair. The kind of staircase we intend using on the other apartment will not allow dirt to fall on the dining. I'll post the pic of the stair (concept) later. The land is less than a full plot of 60ft or 18.3m. The in-to-in measurement is 51ft, so the parking space is at the front of the building - big enough to park eight cars (ie. 4 on each wing). The built up area of the land is 13.4 x 20.4m Forthright estate is just adjacent to Arepo - I've been there while hunting for properties to buy for a client. Good estate! I love the estate gate design. |
UPDATE AREPO - Block of flats Visited the briefly this morning - not much difference except for the things happening around us. OGOMBO - Geo-technical Soil Test Still expecting the rig at the site.
