^^^Oga, I really don't know the block maker from Adams. I just picked him out of about 20 block makers in the area and give him my specification/requirement. You too can do same, tell them the kind of quality you want and have your bricklayer/engineer confirm it. Moving block from Arepo to Shangisha will cost fortune o. |

TODAY'S UPDATE I got to the site very later today (around 3pm) due to heavy traffic on 3rd Mainland bridge. On getting to the site, the aboki man had cleared some portion of the site leaving the heavily flooded part. I think we should be fine carrying out the test in the cleared portion. Pic Updates 1. Road leading to the site 2. The land - cleared 3. NextHome Team - in a boat to another project site in Ikorodu 4. Water

Hey Spyder - kudos to you. |
What kind of people do you think would be living in such a place? Politician, Yahoo-Yahoo, 419 - Properties like this are for the big boys in the telecoms, banking, oil industry, expatriates and the like. Such property attracts high profile clients - no be politician. Make I no talk too much jare. Just take time to visit. ---------- Let's digress. |
Oga Fhemmmy, those houses are serviced-apartments maintained by the people we call Facility Managers. The services provided includes Power Supply/Generating set (lights always on 24/7/365, high speed wireless internet service, intercom facility, laundry service, gymnasium, security service (alarm/cctv system), DSTV and every other thing you can think of in a luxury house. This one no be political speech o. Just think of what N300m can buy! |
@Fhemmmy, maintenance! These houses are what we call serviced-apartment. As you see am so, na so he go be for life. That's the truth. |
@demain-man, thanks. @Blink, I remain loyal. Those houses are very expensive to build. I cannot give you exact figure but similar project that I did in Ikoyi costs around N2.5bn The pictures are there draw inspiration and forget about all the uninspiring designs and concepts we have nowadays. A guy asked for a concept from me on NL and I told him my cost - he thinks I'm too expensive. Well, he maybe right! But what I know is that Brabus and NextHome, in not too distant future will be more expensive. I'll give out some concepts for free on my website one of this day, maybe we can draw one or two inspirations from them. |
UPDATE - OGOMBO SOIL INVESTIGATION RESCHEDULED. Due to heavy downpour at the site where we presently have our RIG to be used for the boring test, we had no choice than to reschedule the test on this site till Monday. I personally apologize for the inconveniences caused as I know most of you guys are already waiting for updates. I got the info very late. However, I'll still be visiting the site to see how far the aboki man has gone with the clearing. So, expect some update. |
No Chinese doors! Simple aluminium windows. Nice and spacious compound. Beauty and elegance are not just something pretty but products of personal style that come from within. That explain the reason why Blink didn't see the beauty until now. |
I think we need a rethink now. I hate seeing those houses with concrete poles we call pillars and worst of all bad renderings. Did you guys noticed anything similar in all the projects? They are simple design with modest architectural finish. Check the windows and doors. |
@Aventures, more grease to your elbow! You can build anywhere when you give your job to the expert. I didn't know you do soil investigation, I just gave out one site to an engineering firm yesterday. Hoping to do business with you in the nearest future. |
Good morning! NextHome will moving down to Ogombo from today for Geo-technical Soil Investigation. Follow along, let's learn new things! Admission is still free!!! While you wait for updates, pls kindly visit page 18 to feed your eyes with the best of naija LUXURY homes in Ikoyi, Lagos. |
I used to laugh back then when we say we are building luxurious house. I no go lie - I'm not part of the team that designed or worked on any of the building above but I think there are 3 or more projects like this that I have been priviledged to work on in the same Ikoyi. So when we say luxury, I sabi the definition well well. As for professionalism, imagine if someone who had worked in any other building above is giving advice, suggestion and report? So don't be surprised at all Bro. I love Nigeria! Yesternite, na Ikoyi night - maybe we should do Oniru today. |
Finally my brethren for tonite - work dey tomorrow. If you don't believe this pics, you don't belong. You be smallie for naija. Take time to drive round Ikoyi and see for yourself. If you no fit enter Ikoyi, the last picture here dey easy. Just stand in front of the The Palms, Lekki - the house wey dey the other side of the lagoon, na him be this. See am!!!

Well done Spyder! I met one-on-one with one of your silent follower (living Magodo Phase 1, Lagos) and he asked a very funny question "Are those (Spyder's) price realistic?". My answer is "They are realistic in Enugu and not Lagos" especially not in area like Magodo. Keep up the good work Bro. Lagos people dey enjoy you o!!! |
