Helical Spiral Staircase ~ The Making ______ @Hajji M., I'll revert with figures later sir. Your guy is not good memorizing numbers.

jam04:Yea, I remember that was in 2013 when the guys at Stoneworks supplied me some granite in Ondo. I never waived it aside. That singular transaction informed our decision to own our truck. I was taken by surprise at the quantity supplied and the amount paid. Now that I have a truck, I'm even more surprised. ![]() God punish hypocrisy of our suppliers! The best environment for healthy conflict is in private, just between the two of you. |
twinskenny:Haa! The street is calling me back. I don't have to shout here. Let's see what I can pull sha. I did a lot with First Funds, Silverbird Mall, NuMetro Cinemas, The Hub Media, Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Apartments in Milverton, Ikoyi, Citylodge, Royal Cedars, Ceddi Mall, Abuja, Ogun State Government House, OPIC, Lastma Cams (first test cam at Maryland), Soul lounge cafe and so many others. Omo, those are good old days o! |
alakara:You don't need any static ip bro. Get a very skillful network engineer with good NAT-ting Routing and Port forwarding skills and also have a good knowledge of Dynamic DNS. It's not so complicated. And you have to be sure your ISP is not blocking some ports. This is construction class sha. |
I'm not WOWed!!! |
Even residential projects do incorporate structured cabling and networking (cabled, wireless and IP networks) into their projects enabling their guys to work from home. I can count a number of estates we did back then in Osborne (NAMTL, Eleanora, Monique Water Gardens, etc) But what do we have now, estates just spring up without features just because we have GSM and the funny CUGs. How can that ever replace VoIP that connects you to your office network? Infact, I laugh when I see some of the electrical drawings we have this days. |
Baba lastpage, nice one! I think you're still in line and you're discussing an area of my core competence. It's still part of building construction. Structured cabling and networking is a standard thing in most corporate projects, low-rise and high-rise MDUs/MTUs, apartments, malls and other public buildings. @twinskenny, I'll suggest you look towards that direction. Na your boys go dey handle residentials walahi! |
Jummymine:Can we have a pictorial representation of the bricks and stones you're talking about? |
Oga NL1960, Building on public forum like Nairaland is like appointing Oliseh as the Head Coach of super eagles and having 170m Nigerians as the technical advisers. Based on my experience on this platform, I discovered most time that this approach always benefits the ‘interfering’ parties' ego and not the client. Clearly other people (technical advisers) jumping in are also trying to help, but the jumbled mess of multi-voiced opinions is the reserve of the football terrace not a place of learning. One voice, one direction is the spirit of the game. The quickest way to encapsulate this is, how many people taught you maths at any one time? So I see it as fun when we are doing our thing. I mean the same thing that makes super eagle what it is today. The Gej-must-go thingy, Bubu-is-slow, nigeria-is-worse, it's-possible, it's impracticable... That's what makes us a Nigerian in the first place. So I don't blame those guys who don't bother to come here to showcase their projects. Trying to listen to everybody leads to paralysis of analysis. My humble opinion. |
nameoh: No cause for alarm says Brabus. |
mufutau55:Haba Alhaji! Bar beach ke? Go through this document and see what has happened in that area and how well the ocean surge issue is been combated. http://resilient-cities.iclei.org/fileadmin/sites/resilient-cities/files/Resilient_Cities_2011/Presentations/C/C5_and_D5_Oniru.pdf |
amanikondo:Already, a N440bn government project is already ongoing. See pictures above. We will definitely have to do our part. No doubt about it! |
mufutau55:Less of thread derailing this days. Thank you Hajji M. for giving us this platform. |
NL1960:Baba NL1960, I do not intend to blog this project but I only posted this to get feedbacks in order to help us prepared very well for the massive development. Your inputs and comments will help us achieve a very resilient design. Our buildings will have storm-resistant foundations with piles blasted down 20 or more metres. _____ Also you might be interested to see what government is doing to protect the 87 kilometers Lagos coastal shoreline which has already gone past Alpha beach from the back of Atlantic city now. Beside this, there are many other ways to combat problems of erosion of the shoreline which include the use of sand saver, sea wall, X-bloc, sand bags, floodgate and sand reclamation. Thank you for reminding us.

EgunMogaji:American Dream to be unveiled on houzz.com I don beg all the witches and wizard make them allow me do my own. |
@egunmogaji, 12615 sqft is just 0.3 acres. I'm talking of 196000 sqft of space to say hello to destiny. |
EgunMogaji:Watch it coming! The builder just go gaga. This time it's world class! A 4.5 acres of amazing views featuring tree lined driveway, a pond with a bridge, an acre orchard with a variety of fruit and trees, boat dock and more. Who needs a fence? |
EgunMogaji:Oga mi, it's easier for camel to pass through a needle eye than... Fill in the rest. ![]() But one thing for sure is this "Nothing is impossible!" |
EgunMogaji:Just can't help you sir. I'm only responding to a question "How much does a standard 4 bedroom cost in your area?" Am I supposed to take a bow like the senate nominees? |
A place you'd love to spend summer. Imagine waking up every day and going for walks on a long sandy beach. Wouldn't life be a little fun in your coastal cabana? Watch this space! ________ The site was carefully chosen to take full advantage of dramatic ocean views. We are live!

brabus:Let me open the floor. Both projects below are Nairaland projects and handed over to their respective owners. A standard four bedroom bungalow should range between: 3 - 3.5m in Ogijo, Ogun State 3 - 3.5m in Lambe, Akute side 4.5m in Ajah, Lagos State 3m in Owode Yewa, Agbara and environ 2.7 - 3m in Abeokuta, Ogun State 3m in Ile Oluji, Ondo State Ogijo 4 Bed Bungalow | 2011 - 2014 I've done only one 4 bedroom bungalow as a project for a client but this house cannot be used as yardstick as the total cost of the building is 4.5m It has the following: 1. 14 X 20' main lounge with a VT 2. 15 X 17' dining 3. A very big kitchen 4. 22 X 22 masters bedroom (ensuite) 5. Drive-in garage with a ramp for the disable. (Clients request) 6. A Big Porch and kitchen terrace 7. Other Rooms at 12 X 15 8. Plot size is 2 plots. Cost includes fencing the 2 plots and gate installation. 9. POP ceiling in all the rooms and living room 10. 0.55 gauge step tiles Aluminium. Lambe 2 units of 2 bed on 2 floors | 2012 Here's another very close project built in 2012 in Lambe, Ogun State with a build cost of N3.5m 1. 2 units of 2 bed house on 2 floors (masters ensuite) 2. 15 X 12 living room with a balcony 3. 5 X 8 kitchen 4. PVC ceiling 5. Imported sliding Windows 6. Long span 0.45 gauge roofing There's no need to flood this thread with pictures of these projects. They're on my project thread and the clients are reading also. |
So my question is "How much does a standard (forget the jaras and effizys) 4 bedroom bungalow in a dry and table flat land cost in your area?" Use your area as sample and possibly back it up with pictures and other evidences as the case may be. Who knows someone may benefit from this! |
^^^ Getting emotional rather than logical. Interesting! |
