kunlesmiles: I commend you on your research. biodegradable plastics is d way to go, but these things take time, infact years, so many researches have been conducted in our universities, but are not easily transferred to production companies. So my take is this, let's make what we have work first, den gradually evolve to biodegradable materials. Hmm, but I think we can borrow ideas that work from others. We can use biodegradable water pods instead of using plastics for water and other drinks. We can use arboform for other materials. I saw a guy from India design edible spoons from wheat. We can borrow these ideas if we can't develop ours yet. I learnt Jaiz bank at a time encouraged people to open an account and fund it with used plastic bottles. That is a way to go. Things can work in Nigeria if we put our mind to it. |

kunlesmiles: If dey ban plastic, how do we get affordable drinking water, how many people have access to treated water piped to their homes here in Nigeria, what happens to dat jobless guy dat probably took loan from a microfinance bank, so he could start a a pure water business, it's a ripple effect, yes I agree dis polymers are quite dangerous, but maybe we sud first sensitize Nigerian on the safe use of these materials and also start up recycling plants.our government is really detached from d reality. It's a ripple effect, so u don't just wake up one morning and start passing laws.
store pure water and pet bottle drinks under room condition. Do not boil ur food (moi moi) with nylon. Keep all plastic away from children. Well said sir but I think if the local industries and our universities are encouraged to look into the prospects of material science, the proposal of banning is doable. Countries in Nigeria's Cline have banned it. We can too. I worked with some students last year to develop biodegradable plastics from cassava flour. The result was amazing |

We do not have a good recycling policy. FG should go ahead and ban it but they should first provide an alternative such as biodegradable products. Last year, I worked with so e students in creating biodegradable plastics from cassava flour. Things like that should be encouraged. It is believed that in 15years, with the rate we are going, there is going to be more plastics than humans in the world. |

Hope they will understand this truth bro. I was also molested at age four by two teenagers. The after effects hunted my memory till some years back. Now I am in my late 30s but I have healed. I can also remember their names but not their faces but I only decided not to tell my take actions against them now because I don't know if they were equally initiated by molestation. These days, I only encourage parents to be friends before being parents to their kids |

Christianity Etc › Re: Rape Allegations: CAN Disowns COZA Church by brainhgeek(m): 7:35am On Jul 04, 2019 |
Okwyla: The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) church is not a member of its CAN family following the rape allegation levelled against its Senior Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo.
In press statement signed by National Legal and Public Affairs, CAN, Evang Barr Kwamkur, Samuel Vondip, the body condemned the act and admonished pastors in the country to distance themselves from rape and any act of infidelity.
“CAN is deeply concerned about the ongoing rape allegation saga arising from a confessional statement by a former female member of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Mrs. Bisola Dakolo, against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the senior pastor of COZA.
“The association recognises that COZA, to the best of our knowledge, is not a member of any of the families that belong to CAN. CAN, as an association; it is equally sad that there have been recurrent allegations of rape and infidelity against some gospel ministers and other Christians as well.
“While efforts must be made to get to the root of the matter through thorough investigation, the association condemns totally, any act of infidelity either by a pastor or any member of the church of God.”
CAN frowned at immoral relationships in the society and said the acts are against the teachings of the Bible and the church.
“We urge all ministers of the gospel to shun all appearances of evil especially, unregulated closeness to persons in the church. Rape by every standard is sinful and an act of wickedness.
“We do not know for sure whether or not some or all of the allegations of rape and illicit relationship leveled against members of the clergy are true; we strongly appeal to all Christians to avoid blackmail against any brother or sister in the church for whatever reason. All of us must avoid making ourselves vulnerable.
“The association understands the challenges of preachers who, by virtue of their position as parents of all in the church, may stand the danger of being accused. All Christians, leaders most especially, must be circumspect in the way they walk, not as unwise but as wise.”
CAN called on the security agents and the judiciary to redouble their efforts in prosecuting the various cases of rape and other heinous crimes that are presently bedeviling our society without fear or prejudice.
“CAN recognises that this must be a very trying time for the ladies who leveled allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and on the other ministers whose stories are trending presently.
“We pray for them that to the extent to which they are true and sincere, God would strengthen and comfort them in their fight for justice. The association equally recognises that this is a very hard time for the Christian church in Nigeria, especially for worshipers in COZA and all other churches whose pastors are accused.”

You can also get yourself healed of that trauma instead of burying it. Thanks. I am healed already. I have not forgotten but I have forgiven those who molested me. They surely have their families now. Calling them out will mean I am equally breeding new sets of monsters whose psychological and emotional responses to the aftermath of my calling out my molesters can result to a new version of societal worries, their kids. I've found peace in moving on. I am however resolved to being a father and a dad to my kids. I am never going to be absent from their lives till they are responsible for it. One of these days, I will share my story, not to call out anyone but to change the molestation narrative and inspire parents. Thanks again |

Benekruku: What are you now deducing....?
Make your point clear. What am I deducing? Hmm. Well, I will deviate a little from the trend the story is following and carve out my view on child molestation in general. Well, many people look at child molesters and almost immediately attack the male gender. So far so good, I have seen that all over social media with regards to Mrs. Dakolo and the pastor's caee. The truth however is that there are as many female child molesters as males. The only thing is that the nature of the male child will make many of them enjoy the experience and will rather wear it as a badge and not talk about it. The molested male child has no one to speak up for him. He grows with the uncontrollable appetite and if not rescued, grows into a molester. Alas! the tragedy of the molested male child is multiplied; he was molested as a child, he has no one to defend his plight, he grows into a molester or sex addict which he regrets (openly or secretly) after each episode, he is cursed, criminalised and condemned for going through his pains. I am not defending molestations, I am only saying we stop criminalising genders, offices, posts, titles and whatever. No gender is holier. Molestation is an evil that goes and comes around all sexes. Yes, molesters should be taken off the society but first, their history should be revisited and then, they should go into a rehab for as long as it would take. We all are involved in this. Parents most importantly. We shouldn't be expending much resources trying to fix broken men when we actually can build strong children. I wouldn't name or call out my molesters. Who knows if or when they were molested and by who (men or women). Karma can never stop Karma. It is only a cycle through which vengeance is recycled. I won't call out anyone. I chose to fight the cause by leading a campaign against unlawful criminalising of genders. A call for equal protection of the male child. Background check and total rehabilitation of molesters for as long as it will last. Whatever the law finds to best suitable, they should do.justice to the trending story. I am just bitter about the unsung and unrecognized possibilities of the boy child molestation by females too. Pardon my bias please |

The truth of the matter is that many ladies and women calling for the head of the pastor have actually molested a boy child before. I am speaking from experience. If I should share.my experience, men would learn to protect their sons more than with guns. Some females are ....I don't want to continue. I am getting emotional about this already.n |
