Since when has killing become solution to avoiding shame? 29-year-old Mustapha Idris, pictured above, from Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa state, has been arrested for killing his 20-year-old girlfriend, Nafisa Hashimu, who was three months pregnant for him.

According to Audu Jinjiri, the state police command spokesperson, Mustapha and Hashimu, a divorcee, were live-in lovers at Daneji village in the state. The deceased recently found out she was three-months pregnant and informed him in excitement. He however got angry and stabbed her to death. Her body was found in a bush at the outskirts of Daneji village about 22 kilometres from Ringim town.

When interrogated, Mustapha said he killed his girlfriend to avoid the shame of giving birth outside wedlock.

“I’m ashamed of how the society will see us after she delivers the unborn child out of wedlock, and thus I decided to terminate her life to stay away from shame,” he said.

The police spokesperson in Jigawa, Audu Jinjiri, said the corpse of the deceased was found in her pool of blood in a bush at the outskirts of Daneji village about 22 kilometres from Ringim town.

Mr Jinjiri said police preliminary investigation found that the late Ms Hashimu was a divorcee, adding that she was certified dead by a medical doctor and released to relatives for burial.

The suspect would be charged to court to face the wrath of the law, the police spokesperson said.

According to the famous man of God, beating a woman up physically shows how weak and cheap the man is, instead of showing their superiority.

I said what: ‘Shame on you!’ You don’t tell your wife that; you honour your wife, you respect her. She’s smelling and you want to make love to her.”

Fanta Boy Ekwem from Umuchu, Anambra state, took to a popular Facebook group on Monday January 6, to bitterly lament how his younger sister ”insulted and fought him” back earlier today after he demanded to know why she did not wash his clothes as he instructed.

According to him, the sister is not ‘fully married’ as the fiance has only done introduction and paid her bride price. He stated that she still lives in their family house and will remain there until her fiance concludes the final traditional rights on Easter day.

Sharing a photo of himself wearing a shirt allegedly torn by his younger sister during their fight, Ekwem wrote;
I don’t normally bring up my family issues online but I have to do this for you guys to judge it, because everybody who were here when it happened was on her side.

She is married and so fucking what? Am just so sad this morning, this thing that happened today won’t end just like this I swear.

We have four girls in our family two out of the four girls senior me, and I senior two, one of the girls who I senior got married(the guy just did introduction and small something on her head) she is still in our family because the guy is yet to finish up the traditional rights according to the igbo culture.

So yesterday I was going out I bring out my Dirty clothes as you can see it on the pictures, I told her to wash the clothes for me so that today I will go back to base with them. She didn’t talk to me I left. I came back in the night and went to bed I didn’t ask of the clothes I told her to wash.

This morning I woke up around 6AM to park my things so I can start going back to Lagos, I called her to come and give me the clothes she washed for me, she didn’t even talk to me. I said okay let me go to the back yard to check if she sprayed it there. I met my cloths on the same spot I left it for her to wash yesterday.

I asked her why didn’t she wash my cloths for me, she didn’t talk to me again, I told her to leave whatever she is doing this morning to wash my cloths for me or else I will deal with her. Immediately I said that she started running her mouth. Saying things like…”don’t you know that am married now(imaro na m alu go di) why will you tell me to wash clothes for you, now is not that time please don’t disturb me(all these was what she was saying). I said to her “which kind yeye married you marry?

she started insulting me, a girl I senior with a year and 6 months talking to me this way? I got angry and hit her, I couldn’t believe it she fight me back and tore my cloth.

Am crying not that she beat me but my people were siding her, everybody was against me, why will I tell her to wash clothes for me. I should give her some respect as a married girl.

The so-called prophet, who cooperated with Adeeko Owolabi, the boyfriend of the murdered final year student of LASU, Favour Daley-Oladele has revealed that the money ritual did not work.

The whole drama reportedly happened 2 days before Christmas in their apartment in Owerri.

“Good evening ma, please help me post. Justice must be done, see what this wicked lady did to her brothers house help on 23rd December.

“Udeme is a full grown lady staying in her brother’s apartment in Owerri. Favour is a girl helping Udeme’s brother and the wife out.

Christmas day was a great day for some but the family and friends of Samson Adetunji, his wife Opeyemi and their 3 kids will have something different to say about this Christmas as a ghastly motor accident reportedly claim the lives of the entire generation.

The family was said to be travelling for Christmas when their vehicle crashed into an overhead bridge in Abuja, along Kubwa. The vehicle instantly caught fire and the whole family were burnt beyond any recognition.

Mrs Osiebo, a 58year old Nigerian woman who tied the knot back in 1984 has finally given birth.

Recounting the painful story before the birth, she reavealed how she missed her menstruation for 13years, and yet nothing to show for it.

She also disclosed that her younger sister that got married after her is already a grandma before she finally gave birth this December 13.

While recalling how the nurse broke her pregnancy news to her.. she said:

“The nurse looked at my face and said, ‘Mummy, to God be the glory, you are pregnant. I was very surprised. “

She said all her hope was lost after seeking help from everywhere possible, which includes both orthodox and traditional way.

“An operation was carried out at the hospital and I came back home but no solution, rather, since the operation was carried out, I didn’t see my period again.

“When I told my husband, he didn’t belief I was pregnant. But I discovered that I no longer like to eat my best foods and my clothes no longer size me,” she explained.

When her period of waiting for a child lasted, she said: “None of my in-laws disturbed me. My late father in-law did not disturb me, although he once asked why we were just folding our arms and doing nothing about the situation.

“We then told him that we were not folding our arms but trying our best, but that the thing never worked out.

“But I and my husband were worried. My husband is the first born of his father and I am the first of mine also.

“We have younger ones who already have good number of children but it is only us that did not have children of our own. Whenever we remembered all these, we were not happy,” she said.

However, Mr Osiebo said after a long period of marriage and prayer without a child he decided to depend on God for a miracle.

“But by the grace of God today, a baby boy has entered this family; that is the cause of my joy. I am very happy, thank God,” said the excited husband.

Which movie signalled your turnaround in the movie industry?

My first production entitled “Omo VC” gave me a turnaround. It gave producers and directors an impression about what I am capable of bringing into their projects.

How successful are you on the job?

I can’t specifically measure my success. However, I can say that being active and relevant till now in itself is a demonstration of success. I cannot dispute the fact that being consistent worked and continues to work for me.

The movie industry is getting more competitive by the day and female celebs reportedly do all kinds of things to stay relevant. What’s your take?

The truth is that every person has their respective reasons and targets for joining the industry. However, competition has been a bone in the neck for most practitioners, particularly female celebrities. They want to wear the latest designers, see the world on vacation every month, use the latest cars and gadgets. All these and more will only push people to more occupational and psychological stress, leading to feeling of low self-esteem and inferiority.

How difficult is it for an actress to get a responsible man without an ulterior motive?

Love is a relative idea. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. Being an actress or not doesn’t determine if one would have a responsible man as partner. It is just that the recent trend of uncultured actresses has cast the focused ones in a bad light. A situation where Instagram actresses are more than real practitioners is an appalling one.

How do you manage to keep your game tight knowing that there are many who want what you have?

Since I joined the industry, I have always placed my head high and focused. Despite the distractions, I chose to stick to the rules of engagement, which is being committed. I think that has worked effectively for me so far.

Would you act nude if the money is tempting enough?

I can never act nude, not even for the highest offer of millions. I cherish my body, mind and sanity. Whatever an actor does for the sake of fame, we should remember that the internet never forgets. I can’t take up a role I won’t be proud to let my children and grandchildren watch in the future.

Was there any role you wish you had taken but was given to a colleague?

I don’t think there was any.

People say the new crop of actresses are too desperate for fame.

Sincerely, I can’t speak for or about them. What I am sure about is that time will tell. If an actor or actress lacks quality training or practice ethics, they go through back doors to get roles and do unthinkable things.

Some of your colleagues say acting alone doesn’t pay the bills. How are you coping?

Acting is expected to be a lucrative job in Nigeria the way it is in other countries. Due to some circumstances, however, the industry isn’t settled enough. I can state that seven out of 10 actors don’t live on acting. They have other means of survival. And they service their acting career with the money they get from their other businesses. I am also not exempted from this situation.

With the state of things and structure in the industry, do you think Yoruba movie industry is growing?

Truly, the Yoruba movie industry is growing, yet there is a lot of things that need to be done. I believe the industry will be better if the leadership can focus more on membership data/status and proper sanction for erring practitioners. An association without discipline will collapse. I have confidence in the leadership of TAMPAN led by Mr Latin. His administration has brought new touch to the industry.

As a Muslim and an Alhaja, are you in support of a man marrying as many wives as he wishes?

Marriage is a delicate topic that I am always cautious to discuss because it cuts across various faiths with personal interests and different kinds of persons involved. But as a Muslim, my religion gives room for a man to marry more than one wife with clear explanations that such a man must create balance on the home front. If a man doesn’t have the financial, mental, physical and psychological capacity to marry more than one wife, he is not expected to go into polygamy. I however don’t have any issue with polygamy as long as there is adequate care and respect among the parties involved. Personally, I like married men more than single guys because I have never been lucky with single guys. As it looks, I might end up being second, third or even fourth wife, I don’t mind as long as I am happy.

Would you quit acting if your man wants you to?

First, I can’t marry someone who doesn’t have interest in my profession. Acting is my pride and it gives me joy. Before going into relationship, my man must have been aware of how passionate I am with acting and filmmaking. So, his unconditional support is non-negotiable.

How many movies do you have to your credit as a producer?

To the glory of God, I have produced seven movies so far and I hope to do more.

In the city of Mexico, a woman who many could not trace either to be the ex of the group or just wedding crasher divided the attention of guests as well as the couple when she crashed into the wedding and then started screaming hysterically.

It was reported that the 3 men did try to stop her but could not, as she approached where the newly wedded couples are and then screamed and said to the group

“Richard you cannot get married. I love you, you cannot marry,”

She was then seen running towards the wife and allegedly slap her


as the screaming continued, the husband could be heard saying loudly ”take her out”

One YouTube user who seems to know deeper revealed that

“He slept with her and then he married the other one.”

Another user commented that: “The one that married Richard seems to be a bit clumsy, he is obviously unfaithful.”

Few days ago, we released a trending news about a Caucasian woman who replied Nigerians claiming his husband married her for the papers.

The couple has now been interviewed by LiTV. The couple revealed that they’ve been married for a year and four months.

The wife, Derby was born in Ireland, but base in New Zealand, while Michael is from Nigeria, Delta state to be precise.

This type of relationship is definitely bound to have more people talking, and the couples have not shied away from the fact that, that is true.

While speaking to LiTV, Michael said marrying Derby is the most wonderful thing that happened to him, and also that it’s “been fun and challenging due to cultural difference.”

When derby was asked about how they met, she said she was a in the military, ex-royal navy to be precise. And there, she was there aeronautical engineer for good 13years.

The navy has an “external website for Maritime and that’s basically how we connected.” She continued.

“I was helping to do administration on this maritime website and Michael became a member and was asking a lot of questions about the Maritime industry, about Naval, because he was very interested in that type of thing. He was also serving as a maritime person as well. And so the connection came and then we started to chat off the business level.”


She further revealed that as at the time they started their romantic relationship, they had not met in person. “I’d just seen a photo,” Debby explained.

She was then asked if she was scared or think about the relationship twice due to this mentality that Nigerian men go into relationship with Caucasian women just for the papers and money? She replied and said:

“I was initially, but I’m sort of very intelligent on that aspect and my view was, I just basically said to him, ‘if you’re going to try and scam me and steal all my money, I’ll just kill you’.”

The two couples laughed at this moment..

Death they say is no respecter of time, gender or personality, it can take anyone at anytime and at the most unimaginable way.

That is the story of a 30 year old California man, who was murdered by uninvited wedding crashers on his wedding day few hours after exchanging wedding vows with his wife.

It was reported that the groom, Joe Melgoza was attacked with baseball bats across the street of the wedding reception and suffered a blunt-force trauma to the head which eventually ended his life after he was rush to a nearby hospital.

The killers are Identified to be two brothers, Rony Aristides Castaneda Ramirez, 28, and 19-year-old Josue Daniel Castaneda Ramirez.

According to the police department of Chino, the whole tragic story started when the two uninvited brothers showed up at the event and allegedly had disagreement with some of the invited guest, and it led to a fight.

According to the brother of the deceased, Andy Velasquez, they were then asked to leave which they obeyed, but they eventually came back after a short while with armed with baseball bats.

He continued, while narrating the news to NBC Los Angeles through sobs that his brother only tried to confront the “coward” wedding crashers, but was dragged away and killed.

“My brother did not deserve to die like that, he was a good man, he was a solid man,’ Velasquez said, while comforted by his two surviving brothers and a sister. ‘My brother was protecting his family. They came and they murdered him”


The deceased, Mr Joe Melgoza is survived by his wife (Esther Bustamante Melgoza) of few hours and daughter
