@ the Topic, The issue has never been about the AMT. of tax revenue the government of raises. What % of the tax revenue would be put to judicious use [that's the big question]?
If this is not questioned , what this policy would succeed in doing is to make more money available for thieves to steal.

And as for the rich, trust me they'll do just fine. For one they have the machinery to institute all sorts of tax avoidance schemes to navigate the potential liabilities.
The so called 'poor man' may bear the brunt of these initiatives.

Again the broad demonization of the rich does no one any good.
