TheBigUrban2: Mystery in the human body = evidence for God and spirituality.SCIENCE says there is a brainwave called GAMMA wave, but you are claiming it doesn't exist or you are claiming because this wave has been attributed to spirituality, you want to deny it. So, you have become a glaring LIAR on top of being FOOLISH? You claimed that the Bible cannot be trusted and not you are at war with science? Who will you pick on next? That Nigeria is a made-up fathom? ![]() Listen to yourself man! You have been exposed to be living in denial. Your arguments lack any merit. TURN back to your Maker! |
TheBigUrban2: The problem here is simple- you (indirectly) claimed that brain waves couldnt be seen and i proved you wrong. No, I never said it couldn't be seen, I asked you to show me and you made a PARTIAL display. Also, I thought you were intelligent enough to take me on my questions there because I wanted you to make you realize how stupid you are in your conclusions, but you did it quickly before we could get anywhere with it. You want to try again? ![]() |
finofaya: When you say Yahweh made a prediction, you are saying that he exercised his omniscience. You are refefring to his omniscience. Obviously you did not see reason with my earlier comment about Isaiah and Amos' predictions, but leave the small fry behind and let's deal with the big fish, whch is omniscience. Have you seen the arguments for or against Yahweh's omniscience? Google it. His omniscience is shaky at best. It does not sit well with freewill, or omni benevolence, for example. And you know all it takes to falsify anything 'omni' is one instance of failure. It might suffice for you to know that God's punishment for humanity is not because Adam and Eve sinned, it is because they choose to reject Him. That is why you have a sinner like me or David, who can still be beloved by God. It is the pride and arrogance of Man that actually invites the judgement of God. God knew we would sin or are capable of sin, hence His provision for the redemption or purification that Man needs. That was why it was written thousands of years ago that: "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10) OR precisely expressed in Matthew 25:41 that "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" But God made a different provision for Man, right from the beginning, "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" (Matthew 25:34) So, as in my previous example of the German World Cup win, if Mario Gotze says "I am not interested in the Gold medal, I'd rather have Robin Van Persie's bronze medal", won't the world wonder why such absurdity? The same can be said of the atheists, their refusal to accept the offer of God instead of their preference for what was prepared for a different set of people. |
TheBigUrban2: Mystery in the human body = evidence for God and spirituality.Unfortunately, your delusion starts with the MYSTERY of the unknown that you have acknowledged. GOD DOES EXISTS AFTERALL! ![]() |
TheBigUrban2: Mystery in the human body = evidence for God and spirituality. Why are you feeling so defeated in your own explanations? Did you not post the 4 brainwaves? Why were you ignoring the FIFTH? So, the FIFTH brainwave is as mysterious as God Himself? Look at it yourself, a scientist comes to you and tells you that you have five brainwaves, you easily believe him. But when the same scientist comes and showed you the FIFTH brainwave you cry "foul". ![]() Laughable! Isn't it? ![]() No, you can't pick and choose! It's either you believe you have brainwaves or you deny them. ![]() |
TheBigUrban2: . ![]() You balk again? Gamma brainwaves are the deepest brainwaves a man can display that is known to man. Scientists have concluded that it is akin to spiritual intelligence. Gamma rhythms modulate perception and consciousness, disappearing under anesthesia. Gamma is also above the frequency of neuronal firing, so how it is generated remains a mystery. The presence of Gamma relates to expanded consciousness and spiritual emergence. Google it and read more. ![]() |
finofaya: When you say Yahweh made a prediction, you are saying that he exercised his omniscience. It's not just a case of Omniscience, it also combines well with omnipotence (His ability to fully exercise His domineering power). As a result, you cannot break the whole and ignore the small parts, everything goes, it's either ALL or NONE. You cannot pick and choose. I don't think there has ever been a better debater on the omniscience of God than John Calvin, who was a believer. Omniscience is often misjudged to be predestination. Free will is quite capable within the context of omniscience. Think of it like the recent FIFA World Cup. Omniscience would have predicted that Germany would win the world cup. But does that mean all the other 31 countries would not play their part? No, knowing does not mean controlling. However, the story has been written and the actors and actresses are in play, which where you and I are found. Whatever we do will not change the ending of the story, because the stage is all set for a grand finale. That is where the Bible comes into play. It tells us of the parts before it is played, that is why it is not an ordinary book. finofaya: While you are charging atheists with ignorance, you fail to acknowledge that any meaningful discussion about the existence of God must necessarily be had from outside the confines of the bible and all other religions. Did you know that the truth value of any religion is virtually zero? See the argument from inconsistent revelations. The odds of christianity being the right religion are almost zero. What you also fail to realize is that all religions have a sense of spirituality in them, and that in itself should inform you that in some tiny part of the whole someone somewhere is right about spirituality. If there is a spiritual world (and there is), then it should suffice to seek the best place to learn about it. There is no better place than the Bible. finofaya: Notable christian theologians, such as St. Aquinas and Richard Swinburne have had to go outside the bible to proffer reasons for why and how there is a God. That is where all those arguments from first cause and what have you come from. You are still here brandishing a bible as proof of its God's existence. The notable theologians have unfortunately been able to tell us why, if there is any God, he should be a christian.Unfortunately, I am neither Aquinas nor Swinburne, I came to know about God more through the confines of the Bible. Then as the world around me began to unfold, I started discovering that they are simply confirming the words of the great little Book! Let all those religious leaders abandon the Bible if they wish, that is their cup of tea. Everyone to his own choice of weapon, mine is the Bible and no devil from a pit of hell is going to separate me from it. finofaya: If you are serious about understanding the why's of atheism, I suggest you put down that bible. Considers the number of religions out there. Consider the arguments against the existence of any God, not just Yahweh. No, I don't need to try and discover why there is atheism. It is quite an obvious one - depravity of the human mind. But, the truth is that it is still bound by the conscience that prevents the depravity from exercising itself in self-destruction. Think of it this way, a complete acknowledgement that there is no God would leave Man in a debased state and irreverent of the human life. It will make him feel no sense of value for others because it will be ruled by the maxim, "Do what thou wilt". finofaya: That bible will only lead you to circularity. That's how if you ask any christian if the bible is true they say 'yes, cos it's God's word' and if you ask why it's God's word they say 'cos its the bible'. Stupendous acrobatics. Not everybody who claims to be a Christian is really a Christian. True Christians read their Bibles and ask the most demanding of questions. If you have ever read the Bible, you will discover it has a length, a breadth, a height and a depth to it. Circularity from the Bible is only achieved by those who try to learn from it through intellectual perspectives. That was why the religious leaders of Jesus' time got offended when they showed Him the temple of Herod and He replied, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in three days". They were all used to the intellectualism of the length and breadth of God's word, hence the circularity, but when He pointed at that height of it, they couldn't understand. It exposed their foolishness! |

Mr Brainwave, where is the FIFTH brainwave? Let me help you, so you can Google it to fill up your foolish brain. It's called Gamma Waves and exists between 38 to 42 Hertz. What do I need from you now? Tell us what scientists say or conclude about this specific brainwave. Thank you. ![]() |
rationalmind: Thank you for confirming my point. No, you are still miles apart from sensibility. I am not defending God - He doesn't need anybody to defend Him - In fact, I am the one who needs to be defended by Him, He's my Shield and Banner. I challenged your foolish minds to debunk the Biblical prophecies, especially the one someone cited about Jesus and ALL of you chickened out! All you're doing is puffing smoke with no fire. I even brought out a simple topic in genetics, you all ran for cover like beaten dogs with its tail between its legs. If you are bold enough as you claim to be, disprove any claims of Jesus Christ! |
TheBigUrban2: https://static-1.mojvideo.com/foto123256-9324-278361/brain-wave-programming.jpgIn your foolishness, where is the FIFTH brainwave? Do you know what scientists conclude that FIFTH brainwave to be? You're terribly DUMB! Common, tell us that you KNOW something about the non-existence of God. Define the FIFTH brainwave for us, tell us what scientific minds conclude about the FIFTH brainwave if it disproves or proves the existence of God! |
With all the knowledge that so-called scientists have today, especially of growing stem cells and the like, why have they not been able to chemically create their own version of the human being or at least an animal? All they have been doing is manipulating the one that is already in existence and that with terrible results - Frankestein! |
TheBigUrban2:I, BRAVEGUY, am an image of God Almighty! You can read what I am writing..... it is not fiction..... I am living and ready to kick the bum of fools! I was born in Naija and live somewhere in the world. TheBigUrban2: I think too much and I get headaches because I am stressing my brain. No, you have headaches because it lacks the most important vitamin called "KOG" - knowledge of God. And it won't stop until you feed it some! TheBigUrban2: https://static-1.mojvideo.com/foto123256-9324-278361/brain-wave-programming.jpgThe more reason you're such a blatant fool, because you can believe the claims of a man that this is what your brainwaves look like today, if he comes tomorrow and says it isn't like that you won't even question him that this isn't the picture you showed me yesterday. SO FOOLISH! |
TheBigUrban2: =====================================I asked you a simple question you can't answer, show me your THOUGHTS, mr vision! or Show me your mind, I need a picture of it. FOOL!! |
TheBigUrban2: Leveticus 17:11I should be asking, "Are You As Blind As You're Dumb?" Look at that verse 11 again, "For the life of a creature is in the blood" ..... If you know anything about medical science history, you will be aware that prior to 1840, they used to think the life of a person is in the brain. But it has been stated since the time of Moses that it is the BLOOD THAT CARRIES LIFE (NEPHESH - OXYGEN/AIR). How else do you want to read that? It seems that it is the thickness of your cranium that has made deluded enough to conclude that there is no God. |
TheBigUrban2: For us to say something exists, it has to beVery simple. Show me your thoughts and brainwaves! Can your thoughts be felt? Can others see your thoughts? You're so dumb! Ignorance is an expensive word to use for your atheistic judgements. Maybe you need to get more coaching from atheistic professors who are so stupid that they fail to see beyond their noses. You don't even know your left from your foot, I feel sorry for you! |
TheBigUrban2: I am not a scientist. It shows how limited and ignorant you are! Yes, science is not needed to prove the existence of God, yet right in the Bible, THOUSANDS of years before Hünefeld discovered that hemoglobin carries oxygen in the blood (1840), God declared it. Do you know this? Go and check Leviticus 17:11. You are so ignorant and that common sense you claim to have lacks adequate oxygen to refute the existence of God! |
TheBigUrban2: I am not a scientist. Science is not needed to debunk the existence of God. All one needs is simple common senseOk. I am here to declare to you that my common sense says He Exists! A psalm by David says, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky displays what his hands have made. One day tells a story to the next. One night shares knowledge with the next without talking, without words, without their voices being heard." (Psalm 19:1-3) And another one adds, that after you have looked around you and seen all these wonders of nature and "Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are all corrupt, and they have done terrible things; there is no one who does what is right. (Psalm 53:1) So, even before you were born, someone (David) looked down in time and says, "You are such a fool to contemplate the existence of God." |
What you guys & gals must realize is this, I am just another human being like you but with a difference. I have been on a journey with God, so my thinking is different; Christ is simply the difference between us! You may deny Him, you may lie against Him, you may even blaspheme, but you simply can't ignore Him because He's right there near you! |
TheBigUrban2: The ignorance is strong with you. You cant even see how you are mistaking atheists for your science teacher!!!Ok, Mr Atheist Science teacher, let me pick a simple topic for you. A topic that is with all of us on this planet - Microbiology. Tell me what you know about the DNA and how it disproves the existence of God. That should be a very simple one for you. |
qstar: This Braveguy has a deep atheistic leaning. He just craves for it. Similar to the hypocritical gay basher.Deep atheistic leaning? I am the one claiming that no one is knowledgeable enough to conclude there is no God, you are the one claiming you have enough evidence to make such claims. Gay basher? Why are you so desperate to change the topic? |
qstar: This Braveguy has a deep atheistic leaning. He just craves for it. Similar to the hypocritical gay basher. You balk at my challenge? ![]() I thought you made a claim on Jesus Christ' prophecies like an expert. Come into my den of Christology - make my day - if are bold to do it. |
Weah96: I never said that there is no God. Secondly, being an atheist doesn't require intellectual knowledge, it merely requires that one has two or three brain cells left to control what remains of his eyesight. I'm the one claiming that I don't know what happens after people die. You're claiming that you DO know, that you read it in a book written by Jewish people called the bible. You require the impeccable knowledge. Thanks for the clarity and I apologize to you if I have misclassified you as an atheist when you are not. In simple terms, you need to examine your dreams as more than just the workings of your mind, because they are simply telling you that there is more to your physical existence that you can make of it. I would like to refer you the work of PENNY SARTORI, who did an 8-YEAR study of near death experiences (NDEs). It gives a glimpse that there is truly life after death. See it here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2545668/Is-proof-near-death-experiences-ARE-real-Extraordinary-new-book-intensive-care-nurse-reveals-dramatic-evidence-says-banish-fear-dying.html and http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-89926/Scientists-discover-near-death-evidence.html When you have finished reading those, which are just the tip of an iceberg, go back into the Bible and read some of the stories there again and you will discover more. |
qstar: If we were to rate Jesus' prophecy on the success-failure scale, His' prophecies would get a10% success.Good. I guess you're an expert on Jesus' prophecies. Prove one or two that are inaccurate. I am waiting. Make my day! ![]() |
TheBigUrban2: I asked you if you have been outside Nigeria. I didnt make a statement ![]() I have been and live outside Naija, if that will satisfy your curiosity. |
I am quite disappointed that the best of the atheists on this forum, especially on this thread is quite ignorant. Is this the best you lot can do? Is this the end of your intelligence? You make me ..... Honestly, is this all there is about you lot to quickly conclude there is no God? What a wasteful exercise!God created you lot to go and become fruitful and all you can do is turn against Him and that with some tiny knowledge, thinking you know it all, what a pity! I was expecting someone to come up with some unique knowledge of the galaxies, some unfathomable scientific truth about the oceans and some unchallengeable understanding of the planets and then surmise that due to his inside knowledge of these things, there is no God; then I would have shut up! But all I am reading are just kindergarten stuff. No-one has even brought up the displaced understanding the microbiology yet in the light NEW Biology - I doubt they even know what that means. |
rationalmind: After finofaya's beautiful reply, I couldn't wait to see how braveguy would reply. You have been watching too much History channel ![]() Have you not noticed how ordinary minds debunked Nostradamus prophecies? That it is more like people trying desperately to interpret the prophecies and make it fit into history? If you had picked a genius like Leonardo da Vinci or Nikola Tesla and used their predictions, I would have said you were beginning to make sense, but you are also displaying your ignorance in a pitiful way. Go back to the thinking board or go and put on your thinking cap. |
Weah96: Why do you care about Israel? Why does your God care about Israel if he created human beings? Are you worshiping a racist deity? I couldn't make sense to you even if I tried. Your debilitating illness began during childhood, and is one of those that require an extraordinary amount of fortitude to overcome. You believe in having ALL the answers to everything, including claiming to know what happens when people die. I don't. I like the truth.I am very well, with perfect health! ![]() No, I don't have answers for everything - read my previous comments - we are all creatures of LIMITED knowledge. However, I cannot deny myself like you are doing, I am just what I am and I have a little knowledge that may be more than the average and can't deny it. Rather, it is you who thinks he knows everything and hence can "rightly" conclude that there is no God. Before anyone can claim there is no God, like you, such a one needs to have an impeccable intellectual knowledge, a deep emotional intelligence quotient, the ability of a mineral to resist scratching and the mentality of a genius. I must say that you have yet to convince me in any of this that you even have an ounce, hence the displayed foolishness (according to Psalm 14:1). |
TheBigUrban2:I live outside Naija. Thousands of miles away, perhaps I would have challenged you to an face-to-face debate. But then that is why we have a forum like this. Read your own words again, "this guy is ignorant", do you know the meaning of ignorance? Part of your ignorance is thinking that I live in Naija, the nairaland, where US$ is like god. |
I don't. I like the truth. ![]() Try harder, maybe you will make sense next time! Keep on trying all your scattershots, I can guarantee you that you will never hit the target with an arrogant attitude displayed in arrogance. Israel was probably a notable and easiest example to pick out in the Bible as an example of the existence of God. ![]() |
finofaya: Firstly, the bible is not proof of God's existence. I'm sure you are aware that every atheist, and many other persons, dispute that the bible is the word of God. If any. So, even assuming that the prediction you speak of is accurate, it still does not amount to evidence for God's existence.Delusion is a simple word to use in describing your comment, perhaps ignorance might be a better word. I picked on that particular example because it should be easier for you to examine, yet you displayed your ignorance in the reply, you tried to cover up your ignorance with chaff failing to observe that it is no match for the wind. Your comments are a living proof that the height of intellectualism is the lowest of spirituality displayed. Using Israel as an example, should have been an easier target practice for your intellectual prowess, but instead it exposed it to be nothing but an exercise in vantablack. Before an event took place, a Person comes along and make precise and accurate prediction and then you come along and declare that such a Person is non-existent, why has no other book or some other atheist tried the same as proof that God is not existent if it is that easy? Regarding the activities of the British you are claiming, maybe you failed to realize that the same British Government betrayed that nation of Israel with the acceptance and declaration of the Palestinian state. Besides, due to your ignorance of Biblical knowledge, whenever Israel sinned against God, He would usually bring a nation or people they thought were less superior to them to either punish them or torment them. A good example of this was Nebuchadnezzar, a Gentile king whom He called His servant even when the man had no clue about Him. The Bible may be written by men, but it was inspired by God, so no man can glory that he's the author of it. It is a pity that you cannot see the essence and all you see is the abstract, which is truly the basis of your foolishness (absence of the knowledge of God), for this I honestly pity you. |
Weah96: Yet another one of the countless biblical contradictions. How is your God responsible for the prosperity of atheists if the Thing has already promised to send the unjust to hell for ALL ETERNITY?I think it's better to put aside childish comments, I asked a question are you ready to refute it? Weah96: I don't think that I could care any less about the state of Israel. I believe that Hitler had a point about the Jews and their manipulation of currency and banks. What he then considered a conspiracy of financiers has grown one thousand fold ever since 1945. So EFF Israel.I wished you could make sense for once, then I would have gladly answered you. |
aliciab: It never ceases to amaze me when these so called ( believers) talk about heaven and hell.I asked my colleague recently about the purpose of hell. What joy can possibly be derived by sending people to burn for eternity for sins committed within a specific earthly life span.I mean let's say a man lived 80 years on earth an committed sin for 75 out of the 80 yrs, he would be doomed for all eternity. Appears really unjust doesn't it? It doesn't make any sense to me.That is the matter. EVERYONE of those sinners will be given an opportunity to repent from the errors of their ways. God is a Just God. We were all born into sin, God understands this and the nature of sin is ever with us, God understands this, too. But He has also made a provision for our redemption and deliverance from that eternal place of punishment. The Bible declares that God NEVER made Hell for Man, but a man chooses to go there, so you want to blame God for the choice the man made? In Deuteronomy 30 verse 19, God says, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:" Would you blame God, if this man chooses death instead of life? Or would you expect God to ignore the choice of that man and automatically give him life by disrespecting the man's choice? PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE or is it not BETTER BEING SAFE THAN BEING SORRY? |
