Gamma brainwaves are the deepest brainwaves a man can display that is known to man. Scientists have concluded that it is akin to spiritual intelligence. Gamma rhythms modulate perception and consciousness, disappearing under anesthesia. Gamma is also above the frequency of neuronal firing, so how it is generated remains a mystery. The presence of Gamma relates to expanded consciousness and spiritual emergence.

It's not just a case of Omniscience, it also combines well with omnipotence (His ability to fully exercise His domineering power). As a result, you cannot break the whole and ignore the small parts, everything goes, it's either ALL or NONE. You cannot pick and choose. I don't think there has ever been a better debater on the omniscience of God than John Calvin, who was a believer. Omniscience is often misjudged to be predestination. Free will is quite capable within the context of omniscience.

Think of it like the recent FIFA World Cup. Omniscience would have predicted that Germany would win the world cup. But does that mean all the other 31 countries would not play their part? No, knowing does not mean controlling. However, the story has been written and the actors and actresses are in play, which where you and I are found. Whatever we do will not change the ending of the story, because the stage is all set for a grand finale. That is where the Bible comes into play. It tells us of the parts before it is played, that is why it is not an ordinary book.

Did you know that the truth value of any religion is virtually zero? See the argument from inconsistent revelations. The odds of christianity being the right religion are almost zero.

What you also fail to realize is that all religions have a sense of spirituality in them, and that in itself should inform you that in some tiny part of the whole someone somewhere is right about spirituality. If there is a spiritual world (and there is), then it should suffice to seek the best place to learn about it. There is no better place than the Bible.

finofaya: Notable christian theologians, such as St. Aquinas and Richard Swinburne have had to go outside the bible to proffer reasons for why and how there is a God. That is where all those arguments from first cause and what have you come from. You are still here brandishing a bible as proof of its God's existence. The notable theologians have unfortunately been able to tell us why, if there is any God, he should be a christian.

Unfortunately, I am neither Aquinas nor Swinburne, I came to know about God more through the confines of the Bible. Then as the world around me began to unfold, I started discovering that they are simply confirming the words of the great little Book! Let all those religious leaders abandon the Bible if they wish, that is their cup of tea. Not everybody who claims to be a Christian is really a Christian. True Christians read their Bibles and ask the most demanding of questions. If you have ever read the Bible, you will discover it has a length, a breadth, a height and a depth to it.

Circularity from the Bible is only achieved by those who try to learn from it through intellectual perspectives. That was why the religious leaders of Jesus' time got offended when they showed Him the temple of Herod and He replied, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in three days". They were all used to the intellectualism of the length and breadth of God's word, hence the circularity, but when He pointed at that height of it, they couldn't understand. It exposed their foolishness!

Israel was probably a notable and easiest example to pick out in the Bible as an example of the existence of God.

So, even assuming that the prediction you speak of is accurate, it still does not amount to evidence for God's existence.

Regarding the prediction. Keeping in mind that the bible is man made, and the book of Isaiah was written by a Jew, it is only likely that Mr. Isaiah was motivated to write that out of a desire to see the Jewish nation restored its former position. It is something any patriot would wish for. It is wishful thinking. I have to commend him for his tremendous optimism.

Mr. Isaiah was also optimistic that "Zion will not have to suffer long, before the nation is born". By your account it ended up taking 2900 years before it came to be. And as of today, Israel is still at war with its neighbours over the piece of land. What a promise, eh? Not to mention the persecution they suffered at the hands of the Nazis. Mr. Isaiah was anticipating a glorious return to nationhood, as astonishing as childbirth without labour. Israel came to be the same way Nigeria did; by a declaration, which only requires as much time as it takes to get the words out of one's mouth. A full day is too long.

Amos was similarly optimistic. He even promised that they will practice agriculture. Cool.

How did Israel end up back at the same place? You might want to read about the British Mandate for Palestine. That is the matter. EVERYONE of those sinners will be given an opportunity to repent from the errors of their ways. God is a Just God. We were all born into sin, God understands this and the nature of sin is ever with us, God understands this, too. But He has also made a provision for our redemption and deliverance from that eternal place of punishment.
