yes it should have rebooted by itself after installing the update but it's one of those things, companies make mistakes, aahh you have nothing to worry about, it's not an issue at all, you're good to go.

I purchased the Redmi 9T during the weekend, had it update the software this afternoon, it asked to reboot after the update got to 100%. I clicked on 'reboot' but the phone hasn't come back on since then. What could the problem? Has anyone encountered same challenge?

press and hold the power button it will take longer seconds but it will boot up, I've read several cases online after that particular update, ur device is fine it's the miui update that has bug
