I have a job for you and not sure if you would make it.

The location is federal polytechnic, bida, niger state.


The laptop is a toshiba A300 intel 4gb ram. The laptop was purchased from
Uk in good working order, however it began to shut itself down.

I have told him to use it on a flat surface and to put some stones underneath to
enable movements of air, the problem continues. He said the fan was not rolling.

I got him to the bios and it turned off again, however the laptop stays for an hour when
left to cool down. This is a job from me to you, if you can, do you sort it out there and there
or do you take it away? let me know cost, so i can give him the money to give you after
fixing the problem. I honestly think the nigeria temperature has contributed to it.

I want to believe that you're able to do it, rather than sending him another one.

I am waiting urgently.

Gospel367: I want to install a flavour of linux on an old laptop and I have decided to go for linux mint 13 xfce but the problem is that the size of the iso image is too large (up to 820mb) and i doubt any of nigerian network will be fast enough to download it and even if it fast, i dont have cash now to subscribe for a plan. So I want to know whether it is possible to get these my choice of linux flavour that is already burned into a cd or dvd at a minimal cost or from someone who already used it or does not need it anymore or from someone who is kind enough to help a brother in need....besides, am new to linux and this laptop happen to be my first laptop and i will also love a guide or a link to the guide for dualbootin it with windows 7. I live in owerri, imo state and will be happy if i meet any linux geek from this area. thanks

DO u know d kind of tins i do 2 pull fast connections on my pc... i rely on the internet 4 80% of what i know as far as IT is concerned.. the other day i was astonished when someone connected a fibre channel to his home network lab for a fee i can afford here in 9ja.. i recently checked airtel broadband rates in indian men u go know say dis country get problem.. even if we are running on electricity 247 it still dont justify d huge rip offs

its either we are stuck on bundles, expensive tariffs, poor network and its substitutes.. how can piple like us leverage our IT skills well enough..its so sad...

u can google d meanin...am sure its against d rules of dis forum 2 discuss such issue......not witstanding.. every chip will always hit up as long as u subject it 2 Stressful jobs like dat of gaming....... the truth is dat laptops dont dissipate heat very well.. de cant really manage heat... unlike desktop..weda AMD or NVIDIA chip.. they will still heat up..

lol..... my core2duo is 4gb ram.. ve got nvdia chip of 256mb and can go as high as 2gb .... urs is bin locked on the bios and one funny tin abt laptops is dat there is no room for bios editing...except u are willin 2 mod your bios... .... you should have checked the documentation and reviews online about the pc be4 buying..

I hardly visit this section but i just had to do it 4 a dear friend..

he is currently 26yrs old by age and will be 27yrs come december dis yr... he is full of life and bright future.....he got a serious hat break last yr wen he eventually came back from NYSC and a relationship of 3yrs was torn apart....this almost broke him down as it was hard 2 move on.... With the help of friends and family members he was able to push on.. few months ago a lady asked him out... it took forever for him 2 at least go out with the lady... I was really happy for him.. but trouble started when he found out that the lady is 6yrs older dan him...

Now he is in love and cant control himself.. the lady is 32yrs.. so many tins are on his mind.. the ladys faith is on a high side and says things can work out 4 both of them only if my friend is willing to commit himself.. he is afraid of so many things... no job, shelter, age difference,family issues (if both parties will be accepted be accepted @ each others home) not 4getting the fact time is not on her side age wise..

the lady told her eldest sister about her intentions towards this young dude of hers..it was not as if she rejected the guy(she has seen him before)...but we all know the matters arising.. how old is he? Banjousman: Pls I need a professional advice, I have a laptop hp 4530s core i3, that just stop booting fine some days ago, if I on it, it's going to on and I can have access to the BIOS settings And system information but once I leave it to boot normally it will get stuck at the windows logo page and wount go further, at first I tot it was a hard drive issue thinking if I format it with windows cd it's going to work back, after using the windows cd it gets stuck again without responding to the windows cd, I changed the hard drive again inserted another one in d same laptop and d same hanging still occurred, I formatted my hard disk again using it as an external hard drive, after formating it, it still doesn't respond, I tried booting via safe mode, in the safe mode page the laptop hanged wen it loaded a driver named classpnp.sys, I tot it was my disk again so I changed it and inserted another one but that didn't solve the problem, I went to buy window xp cd with the hope that it's going to work, but during the process of setting up window xp it hanged again, I took it to am engineer yesterday right in front of me he tot it was a software issue so he loaded all the disk and noticed the hanging stage so he decided to loose the lappy and removed the CMOS battery just to erase the system info but despite all still no luck, he changed the BIOS cos he has the scrap of that laptop still yet it didn't open windows page but hangs at the same window logo startup stage, finally he changed the processor and ram to confirm if that will solve it, still yet no changes, Pls Is there anyone that has encountered this same problem before or Pls is there any solution to the lappy, Pls I need an advice on how to make it come back to life.... Thanks to u all

take a working hard drive with a working windows from another pc and insert it into your system.. if wen booting it get stucks.. change ur ram sticks. if all i have said doesnt work out..

den its time u remove d processor and insert another one.. trust me... u willl be glad u did...
