Can u really say that we have broadband in Nigeria? if Yes what is the population behind it? if No, how does cloud computing survives in Nigeria?

it depends on d administrator of the network.. A porous one will leave holes behind during installation.. i have succeeded times without number but u must have special hardware.. all laptop nor be laptop

Yes there are always errors on any os.. nonei s perfect.. anyways if after getting mac and u get fustrated maybe becos of lack of softwares not available.. u can either use vmware 2 get a taste of windows, dual boot to have both win n mac or better till turn ur whole apple pc to windows fully..

well 2gb dese days is just an average ram size, more will be better..

As for hard drives, it depends on what you want to do.. An ordinary word/browser user wont need much space unlike a graphic artist who needs to store alot of files

its not about the name, this is the reason why hp has turned us to a dumping site..... @ op wat do u desire on ur laptop.. u should be able to give specifications and then someone can recommend a laptop 4 u.. if u are not the techy type den tell us ur needs.. what do u want 2 use d laptop for? and i heard someone say parts are available..lol... let me tell u.. i bought a pc (hp) core i5 4gb ram wen intel released the the core i5 in2 d market.. i have since turned d laptop in2 a desktop just becos i couldnt get the parts here in 9ja.. i even met someone in computer village scrapping his own becos of d same problem...

even d price for the parts online is discouraging

Hello, I just got a brand new ASUS laptop and it came with windows 8.1 OS

I don't like 8.1 so I've being trying to install windows 7 into the system but its not working.

Am a computer engineer, but I've never seen anything like this before, don't know if the issue is with Asus or windows 8.1.

can u get to d bios and see if there is a way to enable legacy os...

can u check for your product no on ur laptop. it usually ends with ******#***... if u can get it for me.. i will post the links back 2 u.. morealso u can use hp.com, click on support and den drivers... paste your product number before the hash tag lets say LEOIE#AEA just paste LEOIE.. if it doesnt find your drivers, be sure to change your country from united states to africa.. gud luck

so I did install Linux Mint XFCE . updated it

installed PlayonLinux, used it to install MS Office. (no time to be explaining to noob that libre office works fine.)

setup ad block, ghostery and noscript on Firefox.


been 2 days and he has not complained yet.

daz no issue i cant remember but it should be on the clock, language and regional settings on your control panel.there u can change ur keyboard layout.. gudluck

it depends on you.. win7 or win8.. both re gud on the specs u ve got...... but just search the manufacturers site first for avaliable drivers.. but i bet they will be there.. gudluck

it means there will be no operating system on the pc when you buy it.. some PC manufacturers tend to shift some biils down the consumer line so as to reduce cost of sales on their own part.. Instead of them paying for the OEM version of windows 2 be be pre-installed, they dont and instead leave you on that path to foot the bill thereby making the system cheaper than the one that comes with windows pre-installed.


its not something to be worried about..
