My brother was robbed at gunpoint and his phones stolen, ATM pin collected at gunpoint, and the robbers went on a shopping spree with the card. In less than 2hrs, before he could get his Bank to block his account, over N1.3m was already missing. As a Banker, I used all my connections and got the CCTV footage of the robbers. Went to the shops where they purchased very expensive gadgets with his ATM card and Lodged complaint at the closest Police station. Nothing was done even after dropping something to facilitate the investigation. Had to move to another Police station when unsatisfied with the way and manner the matter was being handled. For where. Same old same old.

The murder suspect (son) who wanted to leave home for Oshodi, Lagos State, around 6am, killed his father who prevented him from going out while insisting that he would accompany him somewhere.

Taiwo had brought out the cutlass to scare his son, however during a struggle with Babatunde who wanted to take it from him, he was slashed in the stomach by the cutlass. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi,  who confirmed the incident, said the case had been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta.


It's quite a pity. I see reasons with anyone who wants Babatunde (son) to go to jail but let's pause and ask ourselves this question. The picture of the suspect shows he is a grown man (maybe in list late 20s or early 30s). Is it right to continue to exert control over an adult at that age. Moreso, to try to 'scare' him with a cutlass because you wanted him to accompany you to somewhere! Come on! As much as I am not holding brief for the suspect, we all know a lot of people would try to resort to self defense if there is a threat whatsoever to there lives.
