Well, I listened to PKM's vision and manifestos during the Presidential debate in 2019 and it was quite impressive. I am happy he is not cowed by his inability to clinch the position.

He however needs to do more if truly he is pursuing the presidential ambition for the 2nd time by getting deeper into the grassroots and creating more visibility. He also need to expand and spread his newtorks, merge with all the other smaller parties to form a formidable third force, and hoping he emerges the consensus candidate for the third force with the Coalition.

Whether from the south or north, we should not allow sentiments in choosing our next president. Nigeria is gone and let's help salvage what's left.

Truly, we need a new crop of leadership. Maybe we should give someone from the 3rd force an opportunity to erase PDP and APC from the scene.

In my l opinion it could be as a result of many things playing out.

Scenario 1 - Inferiority complex: The man probably felt slighted that the woman is taking up his role which naturally affects the male ego. Dear men, when will you realise that and accept the fact that marriage is no competition.

Scenario 2 - Financial Strain: Come on, we can't be talking about mosquitoes and nets in a situation where there probably isn't food available in the house. The man might feel his wife is wasteful.

Scenario 3 - Spur of the Moment: The man probably lost it and snapped when the wife gave an insulting responses.

Well, we don't have the full gist of JOS situation so it's difficult to judge, but from my experience, power is the most damaging element to Human beings. God help an arrogant person to get to power, he/she turns to a demon.

I once had a boss who we all saw as an angel because he would bring himself down to even clerks and cleaners to be a father-figure and encouragement to. He was so down to earth (in our opinion then) that we all wished and prayed that he becomes the Director. We felt the Management were not treating him fairly by not making him the Director and eventually through some connections from Aso Rock and some spiritual assistance from his side-chic who is also a colleague (another story for another day) he became the Director.

This man's tenure was the worst we ever experienced - brutal, wasteful, hateful, crises ridden, tyrannical, division ripped, gossip-rewarding, vindictive, multiple transfers and threats of transfers, just name it. He carried himself as if he was the No 1 man himself and arrogated himself so much power. Could not even respond to greetings. Gosh!!!

And unfortunately, no one could voice out cause he was "connected" and had Management's ears.

We lived in perpetual fear of the unknown and only had some peace when retired.
