That is true o, I served in bayelsa also, was living around Arietallin area around the stadium area, I was robbed at broad day light (2pm or so) on my way to the market, #15,000 and my Samsung s5 containing important documents and my Passing out Parade pictures. I vexed and left the state the same week.

Seems its been a common occurance here. The other day, these boys were carrying guns and blocked the road in broad day light at Swali, police didn't even bother. I haven't seem this brazen display of lawlessness in my life before and the governor said the boys shouldn't be disturbed that "our people are not many"

Chairman, if you dey Bayelsa, you wont call this jungle justice or suggest they are handed over to the police. The town is very very unsafe. It is abnormal not to hear 10 cases of robbery a day. Everyone is feed up and scared. Bad boys will be patrolling with weapons as if the is not law in the land.
I came to work around the Federal Medical Center, bringing robbery victims to the hospital for treatment is as common as passengers coming to the motor park. E no good, anybody can be affected

Thank God dem catch dis ones. Thiefing don too much for Bayelsa. As a visitor here, the news is alarming and depressing. No day dey pass without hearing more than 10 stories of robbery. By 6:30 90% of the shops don close. Without exaggeration I have not seen a single person making calls with a smart phone any time after 7pm, wetin nah? Na Libya we dey?

So the foreign interest are the reason the country is the way it is? Insecurity is at its peak, nowhere is safe in Nigeria, people are desperate to survive. Supposing your stolen iPhone has been sold to an innocent person who never knew it was stolen, how will you deal with that? You don't need to be hard or you complicate issues. If you find such a person, just use your IQ to find out how your phone got to him or who sold it to him before taking further action. It is an error of judgment to walk up to somebody and start hitting him because you see your phone on his hand. You may be charged for assault .

I won't hit anybody, he will tell us how he got the phone and we will take it up from there. The circle of thieves selling phones to innocent persons must be stopped. Without demand, there will be no supply
