Crime / Re: How I Narrowly Escaped Ritualist by brownlolly(m): 11:03pm On May 27, 2016 |
One time, I was relaxing in my yard (same Abuja) when this girl in leopard print dress walked towards me. She greeted me and said she came to see me. I turned around to be sure that there was no one else behind me that she was talking to. I asked her if we had met before. She was incoherent. Just talking stuff I couldn't understand. She had a voluptuous body, but it didn't make sense to me. Finally, she asked me to take her inside. She was looking at me like... The whole thing didn't feel right but she was actually expecting me to take her inside my flat and knock her out in bed. Tempting but too easy. I don't like cheap girls. 1 Like |

Politics / Dependence On Oil, Nigeria’s Costly Mistake — Buhari by brownlolly(m): 6:13am On May 26, 2016 |
By Levinus Nwabughiogu ABUJA President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Nigeria made a costly mistake by depending on oil as the mainstay of the economy. The President said the country was in for the worst times for failing to save or diversify its economy, which had been greatly affected by the crash of oil prices. Speaking while bidding the outgoing Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Saeed Koozechi, farewell in Abuja, President Buhari said he was convinced that with greater diligence, hard work and patriotic determination, Nigeria would achieve self-sufficiency in most of the goods on its import list. He said his government is vigorously pursuing the diversification project. “We made a terrible mistake by becoming a mono-product economy hinged on oil and we are now in a volatile situation, due to the crash in oil prices. “We have seen the benefits of diversification which helped Iran to survive many years of sanctions and still come out strong. We are now fully committed to economic diversification,” he said. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/dependence-oil-nigerias-costly-mistake-buhari-2/ 1 Like |

I'm gonna list our present challenges ... at least the ones I know, and then let u guys reason the matter. We run a monoeconomy ie. Oil is our only major source of income. Oil price has drastically fallen. We don't manufacture even simple household items. Everything is imported from China. Yes, you would say the power problem is the reason for this challenge. Remember that you gas pipelines that supply gas to power stations are being sabotaged by some idjits. Now they call themselves Avengers. What a name! The Northeast has been ravaged by terrorists, they have stopped farmers from cultivating crips that feed the nation. This will affect market prices of food. We keep complaining that there are no jobs. That is true. But really, there are also jobs, but not many qualified people. Have you interviewed many graduates lately? Some can't even spell their names. They don't know the difference between biro and pencil. I'm not joking. Who would employ that kind of person? Can you? Indiscipline reeks around everywhere. Bribery, corruption, dirtiness, filth, selfishness, bashfulness, delusion of grandeur (that's why people act like what they are not), many Nigerians are ill mannered. Yes, I said it. This particular problem is the biggest problem of Nigerians. Gross indiscipline. Among the rest are tribalism, stereotype, cultural rubbish that promotes annoying behavior, traditional nonsense. Etc. I'm tired of typing. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigerians are acting like the Israelites in the wilderness. If you don't understand, we're changing the course of our destiny for better by making these sacrifices today. Nigeria was not designed to succeed or prosper. Now, our leader is changing the entire structure to make sure we break loose from this negativity against all odds, and the people are still complaining. It's not a bad thing to complain, but losing hope in this government is terrible. It shows how 'dedicated' we are to our cause of turning things around. Did you expect things to change so suddenly? Remember, it didn't start with PDP. What about the military regime? Have you all forgotten about IBB and Abacha? Please, give this government time. I will join in wailing in 2018 after we have given them enough time and there's still no significant difference. 1 Like 2 Shares |
