Mamajama:
@youngies Let me take you back to law 101

If my brother went to a departmental store and stole a Big screen TV and posted it for sale at his local store. A total stranger walked in and paid for the TV without any knowledge of how the store owner got the TV and was given a genuine receipt.

When katakata come start. The purchaser was arrested for been an accessory to stolen goods; his picture was posted on all the media news paper as a thief.

Do we the public have the right to condemn this individual as a thief in the court of public opinion without knowing all the details and facts of the case?

We are all entitled to our opinion, but I thing this woman is been persecuted for the crimes allegedly committed by her father
too much tory, d woman ran away when she was asked to come forward, why? if u are innocent you dont need to run,go into hiding or flaunt the law of the land in your bid to save ur tail(she has a pretty tail too, grin grin)

those acts are nt the actions of someone who is innocent but traits of a law breaker, so pls save ur self the stress of fighting a loosing battle by defending her

if she was so innocent why was she running? and if shes so innocent why did she travel across the globe to use a phony name to sign a mega deal with foreigners to do a project whos direct control is under her father?

don't be so naive, dear in as much as the rule of"innocent until proven guilty is being observed even in naija but some people just convict themselves by there idiotic actions, why run? haba u sef think am, check am,

Whoever is behind this move is a dullard. It seems to be the most cowardly move I've witnessed in recent times.
For God's sake, she was said to have used the money public service.

This weak strategy to get to OBJ's skin will end up backfiring as it did in Atiku's case. Atiku was a well known thief, but today, he is well celebrated.
Why don't the so called EFCC go for OBJ direct?

This whole Iyabo thing is just laughable and also goes a long way to showing that most Nigerians are fools and are OK with that as they keep buying all sort of cheap propaganda.

Nigeria is really doomed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

na wah for goldcircle and his quest for aisha 2, na wah for dis obodo nairaland, grin grin grin

anyway to more important issues, until the courts finally convict a person under investigation he is considered innocent, so i see nothing wrong with the process. the onus is on efcc to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the lady took a fancy to public money, so why all this hullaballoo abt efcc huh?? sometimes ppl just dey post unnecessary alarmist threads sef 4 dis nairaland, undecided undecided

They couldnt push jack on the guy during questioning. It was amazing that with all the maga-maga talk they where posturing in past sessions they could just not bring enough proof to cut the guy down to size.

if anything the guy came out looking more competent than all of them on the committee cause he could defend his actions with facts which they cldnt debunk. This goes to show that this so-called probe is a jamboree that wont yield any tangible positive for tax payers whose money is being utilised to keep these jokers asking stupid questions.

props to el-rufai, that is wat a minister shd be like,

again on all these contract allegations, abeg e doo, ohhh!!!

Bros ur post is riddled with inconsistencies, down right fictitous assumptions e.t.c. i wonder why ppl r really giving u advice cause it just doesnt make sense e.g.

damola1:
Here's what he needs an advise for:

He's saved enough all these years for the future, and thinks it might be best to move her out of the hostel to an apartment, and don't want her to stay back at home because he feels her parents will continue nagging plus being the talk of the town in their neighbourhood. also for convinience he's thinking of buying her a car for mobility and less risk for the baby before and after, she's born, mind you this stupid friend of mine still lives with his parents and doens't own a bicycle talkless of a car.
kai haba, this must be the stupidest part of d gist. u r a student with a part time job and u have enough to want to rent a house as well as buy a car for a pregnant girlfriend whom u love but dont want to marry who (i.e. the girl) happens to be a part time journalist, nna take am easy

just cause u r nt aware of incidents such as mubarraqs does not negate the fact that alot of ppl have also gone through the same / similar circumstance. dont patronise me with that "it happens occassionally" line because it is more than an "occassional" thing.

@poster
Gimme a break. I flew British Airways 2 weeks ago, and i'm as Nigerian as you are. In fact, i even took ill on the flight and they made sure they had someone constantly helping me. At least 80% of the flight crew stopped over to ask me how i was doing during the flight.

Try not to turn everything into a 'nigerian' thing. As far as i know, you don't have the mandate to speak for or represent all Nigerians.
you see dis is typical of humans, just because it didnt happen to you doesnt mean it doesnt happen to a dozen other ppl. I for one have heard cases of acquaintances/friends who have experienced one form of abuse at the hands of british airways operatives or the other. I was nt surprised at the post because it is common knowledge, or has anyone never heard of incidents where nigerian passengers are meant to stay in flight cabins while the whole place is disinfected?(dis one was on emirates)

look there is a lot of things gone wrong in the attitude of foreign airlines to nigerians . but a lot is brushed under the carpet. Please posters try and be objective when you analyse issues on threads and remove that mindset that because i never went through the same ordeal that means it doesnt occur, it is totally wrong

bros mubarraq take heart

PoliticsRe: Read Carefully To Understand The ''eediot'' That Is Danjuma by buchio7(m): 8:01pm On Apr 05, 2008
the man has shown brazenly the sort of minds that occupied the top rungs in the nigerian military during his stint. it is utterly unbecoming of an officer in the military to talk such hog-wash abt his superior no matter the sentiments/emotions. he has further exposed himself as a shallow human being without a shred of shame nor honour.

abeg i no get much time for that bros .as he said in his lecture a few weeks ago his generation is a failure(that was his own words) so what form of decency can u expect from such a man that has proclaimed himself a failure?

thank God he saw the error and futility of his ways and apologised. End of story
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Governors! by buchio7(m): 7:51pm On Apr 05, 2008
yes there is some improvement here and there in the acions of some governors which is very commendable. For one fashola has impressed me though the task ahead is quite daunting owing to the complex nature of lagos but he has shown that from the first day he understands the enormity of the role he is occupying as governor.

i believe that we need more of such people with clear cut vision of what they want for there states and how to achieve it rather than propaganda mongerers who dont have a shred of idea of why they even contested in the first place other than to pilfer treasuries
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Glo Calling by buchio7(m): 10:36pm On Mar 29, 2008
Thats rather strange that u dont knw for what department but either way the interview will be you giving them a brief rehash of ur self as well as your knowledge of the particular arm/dept you are interviewed for(dats why u shd know what position u r being interviewed for).

note dat u must look smart, dress sharp cause it carries marks in glo and be vocal and not seem timid. also make constant eye contact with whoever is interviewing u as well as always smile to show u r not under pressure.

it can be a really interesting but u can make it with prayers and a dose of self confidence.

Glo called me for interview. Nairalanders pleaaaaaase help me with what the interview is going to be like. May God help us all amen
it would help if u mentioned the position u applied for. if it is technical then you would expect technical ppl to fire u with questions the same applies with if u applied for a marketing or customer care position. so what did you apply for before any meaningful advise can be given?

PoliticsRe: How Peter Odili Stole #100 Billion Naira. by buchio7(m): 7:37pm On Mar 04, 2008
a while back when the electioneering process was going on and he was a pdp presidential hopeful a lot of us on this fora talked abt d crass corruption epitomised by odili and d way he wrecked rivers state but as they say " in every 12 , JUDAS" sycophants took there stock in trade to a grand level praising him to high heaven.

the gross under-development inherent in rivers state is due to a misguided, corrupt and utterly brutal nature of one man, but where is he? he walks free on the streets of nigeria with no effort to bring him to book by authorities. amechi cant do much cause he was part of d system dat wrecked rivers under odili
PoliticsRe: Where Is Obama's Wife? by buchio7(m): 7:30pm On Mar 04, 2008
4 Play:
Obama's wife might prove an albatross particularly in the light of some of her recent comments about being proud of America "for the first time in her adult life."It gave the impression of a woman with a shocking sense of entitlement who only felt proud of her country because her husband was on the brink of political power
on the contrary she has been everything asides an albatross to the mans campaign . Her intellect and passion for her hubbys campaign has resulted in a lot of support.

PoliticsRe: Oil! Who Owns It Nigeria Or Niger-delta? by buchio7(m): 12:37am On Feb 03, 2008
control which oil? it is about time the niger-delta people wake up to reality. in as much as a lot needs to be done to assuage the feelings of neglect in the region but i fail to see any tangible proof of what the funds already allocated to the states has yielded. The leaders of the zone have just turned local war lords sponsoring militias that thrive on criminality.

all the south-south governors of the past 8 years have turned state funds to private piggy banks which they use to finance there expensive habits both in and out of nigeria and the present ones are no different so who in essence is going to see to the judicious use of this resource if turned over 100% to the niger-delta people?

abeg this story/debate has gone on for far too long. the people of the region shd hold there leaders responsible for the degradation rather than trying to shift blame all the time.
PoliticsRe: What Do You Make Of The Democratic Debate - Obama Vs Clinton? by buchio7(m): 12:17am On Feb 03, 2008
i believe that obama came out tops in this debate. I saw someone who appreciates the problems the u.s. is facing as well as its role in the global community. i see him going on to winning more states owing to his appeal to younger voters who are turning out in droves for him. He is even doing well amongst conservative democrats.
