basilico: Comey did not lose her many votes. He was forced by the contents of Weiner's laptop that had tens of thousands of her emails. Some detectives unofficially said they threw up.
Comey had to, else the contents would have leaked. We might hopefully know what else was in that laptop and who was involved. I feel you are struggling with honesty, basilico. The little of it you hold on to still keeps me respecting you, despite you insulting my intelligence. See how you admit Comey lost Hillary some votes but not many, despite there being no way to measure how many votes you admit Comey did lose her. Then you bring up reasons for Comey's actions, forced, and justified or not, that you admit did lose Hillary some, but not "many votes". O, how I wish you could credit me with a brain inside my head. I am sure there is hope for us yet. |

Minent: The bolded is so misleading, don't you think things can change even a month to the election? For example a scandal can surface and proven true or what if a document or video or voice call surface that shows a candidate actually working against the system let's say with Russia. Let's not mention a debate one month to the election... Just saying. Also, can you give me your source on definition of confusionist cuz I think it's also misleading. I agree. I for instance think Comey's investigation of Hillary two weeks befor the 2016 election lost her many votes. |

donjazet: When you use the word, you also subscribe to a political ideology "thrown at you" according to you. A centrist still falls within my purview of someone who finds it difficult to make decisions because you will most likely end up eventually making decisions based on populist ideas. Not necessarily is a centrist one who decides on populist ideas. Populist ideas may not in fact be centrist and usually aren't since they tend to be an extreme. A centrist may just be someone who is moderate in their ideology even if those ideas are not popular. donjazet: For instance, that Donald Trump is now the president is because of these so called "centrists". Again, not necessarily. Some Democrats voted for Trump just because they preferred what they perceived his ideology was and agreed with him or just disliked tge alternative. Trump himself, and just about every politician worth their salt, know this and will sell what would be bought and would flip at the toss of a coin. |

The photo has been deleted, but critics have deemed Falwell a hypocrite, citing the Christian university 's rules of conduct, which require “modest” attire for students while on campus. I believe him. The thing in his pants had grown since he last wore those pants.

FOLYKAZE: Please Buda, stay away from this.
Jw have denied millions of people chance to live because of doctrine against blood transfusion. Many children are been abused and the act covered up in that organisation.
What would Maximus69 do with people experience when he cannot proffer solutions? Why are we talking about people dilemma when we can't help them out? Orisa bi o le gbe mi, fimile bi mo se wa. I do not think your powers extend to telling buda what to do or not do. First, JW do not force anyone to accept any of their doctrines nor do they deny anyone blood transfusion, there are many JWs who have accepted it when needed. And almost all organisations have been recorded to have abused children and covered it up, so that's not unique to JWs. You mentioned the word "we". And Maximus was not here proffering a solution but seeking one from all of us "we", which is why, "we", and not only JWs, are talking about it with the hope that our collective reasoning could come up with a solution, but your own contribution is a complete disregard of that fact and a juvenile irrelevant attack of JWs and blood transfusion as if the topic of the thread is a JW problem and blood transfusion is it's cure! Ti orisa kan ko ba gbe ọ, lọ wa orisa o miran! I use "orisa" here to mean, 'one way of reasoning'. Your current one can not possibly gbe ọ, and it definitely does not gbe we as it adds nothing to our collective welfare! |

Help me please....I never intend to be this confused in my life You are confused because you are not yet mature enough to marry or decide what you even want, which is why she is deciding for you! If you were mature enough, you'd wait for this relationship to develop to a point where marriage becomes a consideration, which it obviously hasn't since ordinary visiting is a "huge task". Grow up, is my advice. There's no need to hurry. |

You are suffering a loss of confidence due to the shattering of your previous conceptions and beliefs. Sadly, experience, which is only accumulated over many years, is going to be your teacher so you get it back. Thankfully, teaching is also your profession, which you wrongly think "is not encouraging", and shows how much you need to learn. Read Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. Tell me what it makes you think. I think HCQ is meant to work by increasing deaths. Its like poison to kill people. The more people died, the more effective HCQ has been. At least that's how I see their reasoning. Perhaps the plan is to give it to Democrats to reduce opposition voters. |

Mintum: But liberals like you and Democrats condemned him for banning travel from China and condemned him when he suggested travel ban on European countries too. You all called him xenophobic then so why all this your hypocrisy now? The people travelling from China at the time were mainly Americans and the ban did not affect their travel. But even while he was banning China he was still claiming US had escaped corona, and we all can see how comical that claim was. In fact, apart from banning travel from China, I can't really see he did anything else! |

basilico: Not with regards to wuhan virus.
The republicans love wars, that's where the money is. John Bolton was desperate to start a war with Iran , a needless war The major thing Trump did with regard to coronavirus was ban flights from China, which we are now finding out was ineffective since the virus found other routes. Even then, he failed to acknowledge this could get very very bad even when all the evidence indicated it would be very bad! Do you live in America, basilico? I don't, but if I did, I just can't see how I could vote for trump on his coronavirus record if nothing else, but then, I'm liberal, I suppose. Not the America's Right definition of Liberal, but as properly defined, and to us trump just sounds like Mussolini.

DissTroy: I did state in previous my first allusion to Trump trumping Obama's employment record here ( https://www.nairaland.com/4508641/american-politics-thread-2020-election/803#92572293 ) that the Coronavirus pandemic ruined the remarkable 3.5 percent level. That was in February. Every economy in the world too a hit due to the lockdown and if you refuse to acknowledge that, you are being dishonest.
That's why the Left want the US on continuous lockdown - so they can tout the circumstancial figures. I am acknowledging it Diss. And blaming the left for what happens under Trump is disingenuous, and is like blaming the right for Obama's fuq ups! The circumstance of Obama's employment record is there to see that he took over from the heights of unemployment Bush left him to the lows he handed over to trump, which have now blown through the roof. But I guess some just don't know how bad Bush fuqed up. It was so bad that America finally decided to give a supposed black Muslim woman from Kenya the chance to put things back together again. |

DissTroy: Halfwit, I provided evidence from official US bureaus/agencies - directly from their websites to prove Trump trumped Obama and 'ethered' his records, speeding past the lefty ISIS-sympathizer like a Nascar. Sorry DissTroy, but you do seem to be disregarding facts here. Part of Trumps record on employment includes latest figures which are pretty bleak and nowhere as bad as trumps figures, and only bias, blindness, or the desire to blatantly lie, would make one say otherwise. www.nairaland.com/attachments/12085300_960x0_jpeg19546c1a35b6f92ab3b4eccd7290d7e2If Obama had anything like these figures, for whatever reason, I think he'd be in jail today or would have had to migrate to Kenya to escape imprisonment. We would at the least be vilifying him here and anyone who supports him would be written off as retarded.

basilico: Back to the children matters and school reopening. Fredo's brother ie Cuomo the York governor has said he wants schools to reopen in the fall , well there are guidelines to be followed.
Like teamwork Schuck Schumer also supports the reopening of schools.
Looks like the dems are seeing that school shutdowns is not a winning strategy. Any parent would not want his/her kids to stay at home for a long time.
Meanwhile some teachers union had bodybags representing the children who will fie if schools reopen. Most parents would not want to risk their child's life, if you think of it, and there's the child's fear too. Just imagine how a parent would feel if their child does go to school and catches corona and dies or infects others who die. The guilt alone could kill! America is not the only place with school lockdown. We are responsible over here in UK, but the Germans, albeit a minority, are against lockdowns.

Zuorom: If Obama faced a global epidemic like the coronavirus that caused all countries to shut down all businesses and impose lockdowns on their countries, then I would hardly blame him if any of that happened. The US economy was soaring and unemployment was at it's lowest before the pandemic struck. If you want to talk about GDP loss and job losses, at least you should be honest enough to say the context in which it happened. Even if you choose to bury your head in the sand, majority of the people are not dumb, they all saw and know what happened. You may not have blamed Obama if this happened on his watch, but when this current pandemic began all the talk was about how more died during Obama's pandemic and how well Trump was handling his until Trump's deaths overtook Obama's death and that song stopped playing so well. As you can see if you bring your head out from where its buried, even trump was singing that song. Thanks salford1 for helping him see. |

garetz: How was it a misrepresentation? He said Biden asked a black reporter if he was a junkie and that's exactly what Biden did. In his own words to the black reporter which you yourself already posted, Biden asked him 'are you a junkie'? "No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man,” Biden said. “That's like saying to you, before you got on this program if you had taken a test were you taking cocaine or not. What do you think, huh? Are you a junkie?"
