krisjnr007:Why would you want to pressurise democratically elected people to leave office? ![]() |
krisjnr007:Yes we can do the same, and have done the same, and for reasons not as bad as what even happened to Lebanon. Here is some history of people power in Nigeria so you know how powerful you actually are. It's just a pity that we did not come up with a solution till Abacha stepped in which just show we should plan better next time.

IamaNigerianGuy: Friendlyjoe:Personally, I believe you and all those who reason as you have done above really have more sense than you exhibit here but are hiding the fact perhaps for fear your sense will run out. These and other posts like them is like looking at all the Yoruba and Igbo yahoos and ignorantly believing all Yoruba and Igbos are yahoo, which, if you are one of those tribes indicates blind willful stupidity Trust me when I say your sense will never run out but will grow because you use it. If you refuse to use it however, the little sense you have will be lost.

usermane:The people you mention here are telling you that what they know of Nigerian culture is "notorious for perpetuating very serious crimes, they're popular among lowlifes whom dealing with often yield disastrous outcomes, generally loud, adamant, dishonest and risky to deal with", but you showed them how ignorant they actually are by letting them see that the culture they know as Nigerian is not the only culture of Nigerians, which you would not have been able to do if you had no culture at all or fit into the stereotypical ignorance they think is Nigerian culture. The pity however is how you seem to have adopted the same negative perception of blacks not having civilisation, which you can see has annoyed many here and me specifically because I know, or rather, I believe you are much wiser and smarter than you displayed here and I wish I had the right to insist that you don't disappoint me in what I believe about you. |
achorladey:I think its fair to assume such people lack what they begged for or they wouldn't be begging for it. On a side, people read this sort of posts of mine then send me begging emails. Let it be known that buda does not favourably respond to Nairaland beggars and that I have beggars around me whom I may or may not hearken to, and last week three street beggars got a total sum of £46.50 off me and this week, so far, £0. The Lord will forgive me for letting my left hand see what my right hand did. |
basilico:It was money making. Even if they blatantly lie, the are protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution that grants freedom of speech to all Americans and press, the liberty to criticize the government and speak their minds without fear of being censored or persecuted. They can of course be sued for defamation of character if they publish lies.
|
Someone should challenge the police for this! And sharia courts may condemn to death but they have no right to kill anyone since the accused has the right to appeal to higher courts. |
Maximus69:But the poor are always amongst us and should be given bread instead of stones!
|
feedthenation:This is the equivalent of Nigeria's loaf of bread and a litre of kerosene, and I fear many Americans might willingly sell their vote for it. |
salford1:They were all busy making money and did not care for the consequence of their complicity until it became too late and were called out.
|
basilico:What naive ignorant nonsense! MSM's only job is to make money, but I very much doubt you'd know that and probably expect that the butcher, the brewer, or the baker do what they do for the benevolence of providing your dinner! www.nairaland.com/attachments/11628843_20200503141157291_jpeg_jpegdc9d3882addf0454b40b7a902afc68fd |
basilico:Are you not missing the very obvious point that anything does not go, especially the ignorance you are promoting here, or is it that perhaps you miss the point? basilico, what you are saying is stupid and ignorant and full of lies and misunderstanding and should be disallowed by even yourself and if I had a say in the matter you'd use your brain instead. In short, your sort of unthinking should definitely not go, but my liberal stance permits me to defend your right to your ignorance while I express my right to oppose you with intelligence. Hope that's clear enough for you. |
sexylassie2:Kkins25 just provided the antidote to the blindness that makes one "read everything then relate it with the world through observation". Below is a summary of his "fuq you maarrrrtinnnnnnnnnn" but if you do want sense, I advise you read the full post here and perhaps realise you are merely observing into your reading what you wish is there. kkins25: |
kkins25:Bravo, kk! And yes, "fuq you maarrrrtinnnnnnnnnn" as he fuqs up our understanding of all that we think we know. |
basilico:Really? You need to close your eyes to the evidence before you then come here and spew ignorance and expect to be taken serious? Sorry dude, but I reserve my freedom of rights to criticise, denigrate and dismiss you as inconsequential! |
sexylassie2:So, we should go read debunked conspiracy theories by to prove conspiracy theories are not conspiracies? Good thing about this is how you are easily influenced into your unreasoning is being exposed by yourself. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (Russian: Протоколы сионских мудрецов) or The Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion is a fabricated antisemitic text purporting to describe a Jewish plan for global domination. The hoax, which was shown to be plagiarized from several earlier sources, some not antisemitic in nature, was first published in Russia in 1903, translated into multiple languages, and disseminated internationally in the early part of the 20th century. The International Jew is a four-volume set of antisemitic booklets or pamphlets originally published and distributed in the early 1920s by the Dearborn Publishing Company, which was owned by Henry Ford, the American industrialist and automobile manufacturer. A libel lawsuit, brought by San Francisco lawyer and Jewish farm cooperative organizer Aaron Sapiro in response to antisemitic remarks, led Ford to close the Independent in December 1927. News reports at the time quoted him as being shocked by the content and having been unaware of its nature. |
basilico:He couldn't be removed because he was far too clean for the evil schemes of those who wished to remove him! And please stop making out all US media is liberal and glorified Obama. Its simply glaringly very untrue! basilico:I respect your acceptance of your ignorance, pity you had to include unfounded conspiracies though. Please never take anyone's word for anything because we could be lying to you. Always do your own research or be led by the nose. basilico:I do agree on that with recognition that you are very limited in knowledge and instead of accepting you have been lazy in seeking out knowledge, you blame others for hiding information from you and therefore spew the little they have bothered to reveal to you, which is a true definition of lemming like sheepishness. No president has lied so blatantly, been as repugnant and been as divisive as trump so it would be hard for any president to have gone through what he is going through. However, see a list of 10 Worst U.S. Presidents, and after investigating the information easily available to those who seek, perhaps come back and tell me what you think. |
basilico:This is a lie! Breitbart is media and is not liberal. Fox New is media and is not liberal. basilico:Another lie. Or ignorance, actually. Freedom of speech allows you to say whatever you want but you must understand that other rights exist too, and that expressing your right to say what you want has consequences. I have the right for instance to say Niggars are cretins, but I should expect a fight back from those I call niggars, and even my employer might fight me as they rightly should or those my employer sells to might refuse to purchase what we sell and be forced to close up shop so you and other employees' and my own livelihood suffer. You have the right to freely yell fire in a cinema, but after we've all stampeded and crushed some on the way out, we reserve the right to lynch yiur evil ass. As to "limiting what you need to know", please tell if you are one who needs to be spoonfed or one who would go digging for knowledge with your own might by your own self, because smart people know that if they seek knowledge they'd it and even Wisdom screaming "come and get some" from the rooftop. basilico:So, your accusation here is liberals don't fight for everyone's rights? As smart people would advise, first save yourself if fire is burning. It is said on planes too, "put on your mask before helping others". Hopefully you can see the logic in that and would heed it as advice. basilico:Ignorance is what would make one think gender equality means men should have children (I'm assuming you mean, men should get pregnant, because most people think men and women do have children together, unless you do not intend to be the father of your children). As to gender surgery, the liberal would tell you the individual has the right to have a disorder and abuse their own body if they wish, and simply ask that you respect their preferred pronoun. “Hello sir, my name is Taylor. My pronouns are ‘they, theirs, and them.’” basilico:Why should they believe in "traditional family values"? Do they not have the right to believe whatever they wish to believe, or are you just trying to impose your dogma on everyone else? Do note that traditional family values in my own society allow men to have as many wives as they wish but thankfully, an increase in knowledge has ensured most are abandoning those traditional family values, which many see as enlightenment and progress. basilico:"Outdated"? No, I would not call you "outdated". I'd say you are completely ignorant of human development and the progress we have made, but "outdated" would be far too mild a description. basilico:Since you have failed to provide your own definition of liberalism, and have shown very little knowledge of the ideas behind it, both past and present, an answer to this question would mean I first have to educate you on the history of liberalism, which I strongly suggest you read as soon as possible. Also consider reading the link in my signature. You'd find how obvious it is that you parrot the ignorance you've been indoctrinated into and have failed to consider the evidence for yourself. |
FOLYKAZE:You know my opposition to your JW bashing, so see this as an exception. Jesus never taught that one should only love one's neighbours, but also one's extremely very hard to love enemies, whom he said, turn your other cheek to be slapped if they slap one side of your face, and as we all know, its hard to do this as it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, so, Christ followers would learn to forgive those who know not what they do. Perhaps we can learn from the Parable of the Orangutan, who Christ said one should emulate. budaatum:It applies to the JW as to the Christ followers like the forest and twigs in one's eye. |
FBS:It just seems like the team are going to do anything to make LH win a 7th Championship, and one can't blame them since he sells Mercs. |
I need to read your threads to decrease my ignorance about Fulani. |
basilico:Really? Like the republicans moved on and supported her husband, and as they moved on and supported Obama, both Democrat Presidents we all know the Republicans hounded and hounded and hounded and hounded? Do tell, were you born after trump was elected and therefore have no knowledge of the past, or are you just intentionally presenting alternative facts hoping we are all too liberally ignorant to know the truth? |
fieryy:Me too, fieryy, though I then forced myself to go back and read to the end, and what I found was little knowledge of the terms used and confused thinking such that a response would be a waste of my time. I might go back and treat parts of it though, but we'll see. In the meantime, here's a little, it seems, unknown aspect of what makes Israel great. A kibbutz ("gathering, clustering"; plural: kibbutzim) is a collective community in Israel that was traditionally based on agriculture. The first kibbutz, established in 1909, was Degania. Today, farming has been partly supplanted by other economic branches, including industrial plants and high-tech enterprises. Kibbutzim began as utopian communities, a combination of socialism and Zionism. If they did not commune together, they'll be working in isolation and be easily picked off, as one will note by how we are divided and conquered in Nigeria, and it was actually this communing together that Weimar Germany feared that made them commune together and slaughter Jews enmasse. There is great strength in togetherness. There is synergy in numbers. Spirituality and selfishness cannot coexist, so we should help others to stand along with us. Spirituality implies sharing: our goodness, knowledge, wealth and happiness.
|
basilico:Your lack of knowledge just shows you definitely do not think for yourself, and while we can direct you to water, the assuaging of your thirst is entirely up to you. How can we know why you call liberalism a mental illness when you've shown absolutely no knowledge at all that you even know what liberalism is? Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty, consent of the governed and equality before the law. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but they generally support free markets, free trade, limited government, individual rights (including civil rights and human rights), capitalism, democracy, secularism, gender equality, racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion. Do let us know which of the ideas below you disagree with, and if you may, let us know your own understanding of liberalism. |
SonofLincoln:You do not seem to understand that those we umpire are umpired because we assume they have brains and will learn, and those we don't umpire are those we assume can not and will never learn. We are simply testing our assumptions, Son, with the hope we assumed right. |
AbdulSleeky:Incidentally, my last post was in response to usermane who tried to deflect all I said by his notion that I am aggrieved and "should check your feelings, and don't bear grudge", but failed to realise its his display of stupidity and ignorance that aggreives me simply because I actually have much regard for him. If I didn't think he was intelligent enough to use his brain, which he shows by the threads he creates even though he is little informed, I probably wouldn't bother at all with him. My hope is he sees he is intelligent despite his ignorance, and I can only assure him of this fact by continuing to engage with him calmly till he abandons the prejudice that blinds him and bothers to understand what I say. Uncalmness is the first step in being discriminated against. Those who would oppress know that once you've lost your rag they've won, so they'll do anything to rile you up so you get irritated and annoyed and respond in anger. I once lost a job because I lost my rag after 3 days of disciplinary action and knowledge of this fact is what probably helped me further cultivate a calm attitude, that and the fact that I cannot fight, lol. Even in school, I'd win battles with intelligence than my fists. On the assumption that you are a Muslim, the cleaning of the senses during wudu is calmness cultivation amongst other things. Wudu is like the first wishing step, like saying "Almighty Allah be in control of my senses". It means you are conscious and aware. If you bear it in mind in all your doings you'd find one day that calmness is cultivated in you especially when you realise that there are better ways of using your emotions and time than being angry and uncalm. Below are some verses that may assist and guide your wishes. And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return". Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the rightly guided. Al-Baqarah 2:155-157 O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. Al-Baqarah 2:153 As is written, one should aspire to perfection so that one's light is seen and the Father in heaven be glorified. Nothing annoys more than when you refuse to rise to low intelligence and ignorant baiting, and if you don't stoop down to their level, they'd be forced to rise to yours as you'd note by how little buda is insulted on here the most insulting thread on NL.

usermane:If you check the times for the posts you mention you'd find it was a full 5 hours before this one so I can't see how it could be the reason for my comment here. But then, you jump to conclusions with little consideration of the facts so no surprise there. I'm just not happy that you make sweeping judgements based on obvious little knowledge and are unwilling to learn because you think you already know the "cold harsh facts". Humans started off ignorant and religion was how they increased in knowledge, but you expect ancient humans to look up at the sky and not deify lightning, thunder and Mars or wonder where their dead go, and create a religion to propagate their understanding. Thankfully, education is replacing religion as the mode of propagating knowledge, which is why school is five days a week and religion is one day, and even your own religious parents would not have compromised on that fact and neither would you with your children. Unfortunately, Nigeria is lagging in science, history and anthropology, so Nigerians have little knowledge of the way things used to be and how they got to how they are today. Its why people like you would say all you know thinking you know all the "cold harsh facts" when the truth is you only believe the little you been told. Please know that I do not bear grudges and my quoting you is not because I am aggrieved at you but because I am aggrieved at the ignorance you display and I respond so others may learn even if you refuse to, because it is only when we increase in knowledge that we truly serve God. |
SonofLincoln:Funny thing is I personally do not face discrimination from the cops down here, least not since the 80s when I was once stopped by 3 squad cars full of cops while driving. They asked if I knew the speed limit, and I said yes. Then they asked to see my driving licence and if they could search my car. Cop looked at my driving licence and asked where I was from. I asked in return what where I was from had to do with anything which pissed them off especially since I wss clean, so they said my tyre had a cut which was an offence so I should pay a fine and get six points on my licence which would have doubled my insurance. I refused to pay and went to court. Judge asked if I was guilty or not guilty, I said, no I'm not. He asked if my tyre was defective, I said yes it was, that I'd hit the kerb on my way home but could not stop because it was a double redlined road which meant no stopping and I was on the way to my tyre man to get a new tyre when police stopped me and asked me where I was from. Judge asked police to present their case but the police lawyer said the policeman who stopped me refused to testify so the judge told them off for wasting my time and said I should consider suing them. And though I didn't sue, ever since, police will follow me while driving, do a radio check, then decide to leave me the heck alone because my wahala is too much. When they stopped me they expected I'd be aggressive, then they would have arrested me for one thing or the other, but calmness and intelligence always defeats idiots and I have tons plus reserves of both as you can see. Prior to the stop above and also in the 80s, I once had three producers in two weeks and went to the police station to present my driving particulars as required, and the cop at the counter was like, 3?! He was that shocked I'd got so many and asked if I didn't tell them I already had one. I was like, "I don't want to disturb the cops from doing their job". He practically begged me to tell them I already got one next time. Photos below were by New Scotland Yard. I was walking by once in my stinky joint days and cops on the bike said, "you look like you're having a good time". I laughed and said, "a very high good time in fact", and took the photos below with their permission. The experience is unique to every individual though, and some do get the George Floyd treatment. Trust me when I say I'd be very very ignorant and stupid arguing with a person in Nigeria about UK police. But then, I'd be very very ignorant arguing with a Nigerian about Nigerian police too in fact, since my way of handling them is different to most people's ways. When they stop me in Nigeria and try wasting my time, I just pull out a book, sit on my bonnet and read. I once drove a UK registered van full of books from Tin Can Island to the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun in Osun State and the over twenty times the police stopped me, I just gave out books to them and every car that went by. You should see the look on their faces when they realised buda don't bribe police, lol. I guess my point in all this is, emotions are best used when controlled with intelligence, and in my opinion, it don't include losing my rag at ignorant people who don't even get a say in what we talking about. Not that I have a say, but if Russia and China can meddle in US politics, so can buda, and besides, here is good practise for Nigeria's election in 2023. That trump must lose and I need you smart to make sure please.

SonofLincoln:You do know that you are saying, it is annoying that people are ignorant, right? I agree it is annoying, but then, since I am annoyed and not ignorant like they are, why not just educate their ignorance out of them and if they refuse to learn let them be. Its not as if their ignorance affects you, or does it, really? Most don't even have a vote in the election they are very ignorant about so why should one react as if they own the White House already? There are better ways, is what I think, but then I guess I'm kinda arrogant like that so would always rise above ignorant peoples' level.
