Sorry o!

So you isn’t know how to read and write before you got to the university?
Yes, I learned to read and write small small before going to university.

Then I went to university where they taught me to read and understand the bigger books, and write better, and also that I must continue learning.

I've come across many people that simply conclude not going to the university makes you an Illiterate but I refuse to agree.

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. The acquisition of knowledge or skills must not necessarily be in a classroom or a physical learning environment.

What is your take on this?
It is not true that not going to universty makes one an illiterate.

Literacy, as has been pointed out, is the ability to read and write, and there's tons of decent 'didn't go to the university' readers and writers out there.

I don’t get you!
Reading and writing are learned in the university.

Reading and writing are not learned in the university, but educational levels below university.
What?!? I wonder what you think they were testing in your written final year dissertation if not also your ability to assimilate data and information from various sources, including and mostly reading, that they've been facilitating you learn.

Tell me you wrote your's yourself, please.

Contrary to what one would intuitively expect?

It better be! Unless one intends to pull the horse with a cart and impose meaning before comprehension not to talk of understanding too.

No, you are misconscruing what was said.

That image proves that the bible is fake.

What you mean?

There are many genuine history textbooks.

For instance, 'The African Origin Of Civilisation' by Cheikh Anta Diop is a history textbook

'They Came Before Columbus' by Dr Ivan Sertima is a history textbook.

'Christopher Columbus' by Dr Henrik Clarke is a history textbook

'Black People Invented Everything' by Dr Sujan Kumar Dass is a history textbook.

African sercular history is what ought to be taught in our classrooms, our local history and continental history.

Ancient Egyptian history comes under our jurisdiction in terms of continental history
Have you or anyone made those books available in Nigeria, Amujale?

Would I be capable of reading and understanding any of them if I have not first learnt from likely age 6 to read a big complicated book like the Bible?

On one hand you say the bible is fake, and on the other you continue to pepetuate the same Christian bible.

If you cannot see anything wrong in that, i can.

Is the Christian bible a history textbook?
When I want to read history, I go read history, and in fact, one must read history, and you know I do and perpetuate its reading too. I even once gave you good history to read, but I guess you've read it all already, so why bother. And when I asked you for a book that is original, and not fake copied or plagiarised, look a what you perpetuated to me and said should be taught in our schools!

www.nairaland.com/attachments/11683163_0856013b20284496a49d23f00fc0ecf6_jpeg_jpeg33cafed206943a961660eeb9cd3fdf9a

The Bible is not a history book, and I do not perptuate it as history in our schools! It is a book that contains lessons in how to gain morals and how to acquire wisdom, and since all you have to offer is a picture on a wall, we read the Bible, and the Koran, and we discuss them, and we gain an understanding of them including how, and why and what it was that they were plagiarised and copied and stolen and faked etc from until you can provide us with an oringinal, unfaked unplagiarised etc book that does what the Bible does better. Because, if we do not read the books we have, Amujale, we would not read anything at all most likely. But I don't think you'd see anything wrong with us not reading at all since all you have to offer us is a ancient picture on a wall of a religion and gods that are dead!

Please note that from now on, anytime you respond to a post of mine with your "Bible fake plagiarised etc" assertion, I shall be directing you back here, and one day your mind might actually see.

I said they’re the second poorest race in US. Doesn’t anybody read here?
So, some people are doing worse than black people in America?

Kind of points to success, don't you think? Especially considering American Indians too were murdered raped and enslaved. But that's really beside the point!

Blacks sure raren't doing as well as whites, it seems. In plain numbers, 10 of them is still less than 20% for us. Reckon they are poor whites because they too voted for unfulfiled Dem promises? I wonder what you'd call them though!

hahahaha.. Ok, just promise to pull does pants up nd study albert einstein instead of 2pac nd biggy..
No chance!

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave
.

From what you posted, Native Americans are worse off than Black Americans, which kind of makes one think they must be doing something right.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is There Such Thing As Paradise? by budaatum:

I proved to the thread that the bible is fake, false and counterintuitive and then you began to argue only to reach the same conclusion that the bible is indeed fake.
First, you proved nothing. You just asserted and asserted and asserted, then you posted an Ancient Egyptian painting and said, "see".

Just that I do know, and have repeatedly said Egypt was the foundation of Judaism. And not that they copied, stole or plagiarised Egypt exactly, just that the Israelites resourcefully adapted some Egyptian ideas in to their own experiences, and it spread around the world.

An example is the Egyptian belief in everlasting life that made many bury their wealth with them to use in the afterlife little knowing the priests would dig up the wealth long after they are dead. Judaism decided not to wait till you're dead and imposed levies on their living people. And Christianity turned it into tithes and death dues and a reward for worshipping Jesus. Same lies, as far as I'm concerned, plagiarised, copied, or stolen.

You seem to think it's either, what seems to you to be superior, Ancient Egyptian history, or Bible, but fail to understand that they don't even learn Ancient Egyptian history in Egypt. And why the heck am I not learning my own Yoruba and Nigerian history and that of my neighbours so I can know them better and love them more instead!?
